Wet streets of Kyoto

She was drenched, like a cute red-headed rat. Antonia continued to walk along side Aikiko, slightly almost unnoticeable shivering. Nepliesia was a normal wet planet but then again she normally would have been wearing a trench coat or something. Hell She didn't even bring one with her on the ship. 'frack me straight to the core!'

Aikiko looked at Tony and couldn't help but smile. It was rare to have made a friend quickly as she did. "We can take a cab if you prefer?" Seeing how miserable Antonia was.

"No... But it seems I need to hit a store or something... I need a damned coat..." She looked exasperated. "Wasn't issued one when they shipped me out... Grrr...." She smacked herself into head thinking this all through, she should have asked for one at the purser's before she caught her shuttle out.

Aikiko took hers off, knowing that will probably make her get in trouble with the Shosho. "Here take mine." She held it out to her as they walked along. She Felt the rain soak into her dress uniform. She knowing that if the Shosho sees her now, Hanako would probably demote her so low that it would take eons to get back to the rank of Santo-Hei. But it was worth it for a battle buddy and a good friend.

With a warm smile Tony gently pushed Akikio's hand with the coat back at her. "Naw... I'll live, just have to hit a shop or something... plus ya'll's fancy uniform is getting all wet."

Aikiko snickered, "this get up? I feel so underdressed as it. You ought to see the Peacekeepers’ uniform. Looks hell a lot better than this does." She got the distant look. "That was comfortable in any weather." Shrugging a bit as it was turned down. "How about we shop there?" Pointing to a second hand shop that sold clothes and everything else.

"Works, things would be cheep there right?" Antonia smiled again, a hint of embarrassment crept across her face as she fought to hide it.

"I hope so..." Aikiko spoke as she headed for the store, pretending not to notice Tony's predicament. As she pushed the door open, some chimes tinkled above their head as they moved deeper into the crowded store full of clothes and coats and odds and ends. Seeing the prices, she smiled as she moved along the clothing as if she was shopping in a more luxurious clothing store.

Tony followed suit though she checked each coat and jacket's price before even looking at the item. She kept finding old field coats from Yamatia and even a few old Nepleasian coats from before the war. She wondered about poking at the different options even glancing at a few of the outer kimonos, she smiled at the thought of her looking like one of the kittens around here.

Akiko moved through the store, looking over the trench coats and other outfits that caught her eyes. Holding them to herself as she looks in the mirror as the store owner came out to see who was in the store.

The store owner eyes got wide at seeing the two soldiers in his shop. Then realized one was different than the Star Army Neko. "We no serve them here!" He pointed at Tony.

Aikiko growled at the proprietor and advanced on him. "She is a guest of the Star Army. If Shosho Ketsurui finds out that you failed to treat her guest And Crewmember...."

She was interrupted by the store proprietor, "Sooooo Sorry! I was mistaken! I will give discounts to you both! To such esteemed crew of the Ketsurui Family!" The proprietor motioned them to follow into the backroom where the better stuff was kept. "Come Come...Follow me!"

With a frown Tony hung the jacket back up that she had been looking at. She didn't need to take this kind of abuse. Shit if this is how the bulk of the Neko's around here acted, no wonder they weren't allowed on Neplieasia prime. She glanced over at Aikiko before turning and starting for the door. When the shopkeeper changed his tune she wasn't even sure she wasn't to spend the little bit of cash she had here.

"I don't know, I wouldn't want to taint your store here..." She glared at the shopkeeper for a moment.

The shopkeeper went pale at hearing that. "Please.... stay I meant no harm Miss Soldier!" He looked at Aikiko for help. But found her demeanor had changed into a more stoic pose of a police officer or a very upset Neko who could turn his shop into shambles. "You talk to friend, I'll even take the loss! I'll even get the missus to dry your clothes and give refreshments while you wait!" He was almost to tears at the response he was getting.

Aikiko spoke softly, "Unfortunately for you." She turned, letting the garment she was holding drop to the floor in her intimidating manner, letting the store keeper sweat a bit as she looked at Tony. "We stay or go?" She ignored the babbling storekeeper behind her.

With a shrug Tony was lost for what to do, if this was home she would have been within rights to demand a dual. Hell shooting the guy would have been a friendly warning not to be such a dick. But she was here on an exchange program, to bring the two worlds maybe a bit closer. She looked over at her new ally with a questioning expression.

Aikiko smiled a bit and turned to the storekeeper. "Bring a jacket that is in very good condition and similar to a Nepleslaian Army overcoat." She spoke sternly to the shopkeeper, waving him off from the other offers. She watched him practically run into the backroom.

She turned to Antonia. "I am ashamed to even be serving to protect these people of Yamatai. If this was the Outer Colonies, I'm sure things would be a lot better than this."

"It's ok, I guess, I know I'm the big scary outsider here." She forced a smile on her face. She wished she would have been alone for this, she could have walked away and never would have given it a second thought. Now though she was embarrassed that she caused such a scene. Tony was sure she just wanted to get back to the ship and then maybe some time at the range, unless there were going to be more issues like this.

Aikiko let Tony have her space and looked away to see the shop keeper come scurrying back with a very nice black-market Nepleslian Army Trench coat with it's logos and patches to the Nepleslaian Flagship that carried the Diplomats and Ambassadors. "I sell for 500 KS. But for you, Star Army. 100 KS." Holding it out in it this plastic dry cleaning bag to Aikiko.

Aikiko raised an eyebrow as it was obviously stolen from the drycleaners next door or the big fancy hotel that housed the diplomats and their entourage. Aikiko just shrugged and nodded at the storekeeper as she reached in the pouch that housed her pistol. She pulled the pistol out and switched it to her left hand. The shopkeeper eyes got big and round and started sweating as she reached back in the holster and pulled out her KS Card to pay for the Trench coat.

The storekeeper gave a wheeze of relief, taking the KS card and giving the trench coat to Tony, then scurried off with her card to finalize the purchase.

"No matter how much a dick he's being i can't let you pay for this coat." Tony whispered once the man left earshot. She really did like the coat, only officers normally had anything that jazzy, though she would have to gently remove the ship patch from the trenchcoat. She might be able to replace it if the Boss lady was nice enough to tell her where she could get one.

"Don't worry. Pay me back." Akiko spoke softly when the storekeeper came back with her card and receipt to sign for making it all legal. She took her card and pocketed it back in the holster next to her weapon which had been put back while the store keeper was gone. "Lets go" Putting her black coat back on as she moved to the exit of the store.

Tearing the plastic covering off, Tony flicked the coat over her shoulders, leaving her arms out of the sleeves. Once they were out of the store she smile, "This is nice though. Almost matches my hat!" She smiled and touched the brim of the Marine cap that didn't fit with the rest of her naval uniform. "So you wanted to try my pistol and rifle right?"

"Please. I'd love to." Aikiko smiled as they continued on their way back to the base. Now properly dressed for the weather, They could take their time and have a bit of fun. "Wanna get a taxi? Or walk the last five kilometers?" She glanced at Tony. She did look sharp now that she had the Trench coat.

"Let's take a taxi, I got to stop at the ship for my rifle, and I better grab a quick change of clothes. Thank you again for helping me out in there." She smiled before stepping out into the street in front of a taxi. It was the norm to get a Taxi driver's attention back home. Here though the driver slammed down on their brake pedal and came to a slamming stop.
"Look I found one." She smile as she smoke calmly.

Aikiko eyes widen at the suicide of Tony after she had just bought a nice trench coat for her. She closed her eyes at the screech of tires on the pavement, waiting to hear the thud of impact. She opened one eye to see if Tony looked okay as she had sounded. "Don't do that again. Please... you still owe me a hundred ks!" opening the door of the now stopped cab and getting in before the driver could back up and go around.

Sliding in next to Aikiko, Tony smiled, "Isn't that how you hail a cab here?" She leaned forward and told the driver to take them to the ship yards, the Eucharis slip. "It's that way at home. That or you shoot at their hoods. I wonder how you would survive there even if ya'll were allowed there." She giggled a bit as she leaned back and snuggled into the warm coat.

"No, there are places where cabs gather to wait for customers or you call for one to come and pick you up." Aikiko getting her racing heart back under control. She smiled at hearing Tony giggle. She pointed out to a curbside where there was a line of cabs parked under a sign that said "Reserved for Taxi cabs." "Just a few more meters and we’d be fine without trying to kill one self." She thought to herself ~~ if we had a dozen more like Tony, we'd kick arse on the NMX!~~ Seeing Tony snuggle into her new coat, made her feel warm inside.

With a shrug Tony smiled at Aikiko, "I guess that is why I need an escort, or there would have been a dead shop keep, and more shot up taxi hoods... What's next, no pizza and beer delivery?" she smiled and watched the city zip by.

Aikiko laughed at Tony's words as they relaxed together in the back seat. "Only if you have a place of residence here. But I am not sure if they deliver on the base." She looked for a pizza joint, but all she could see were Ramen shops of various sorts and little food stands under brightly colored umbrellas that forced people to walk around so their umbrellas wouldn't get caught or hit the food vender's. "Once we get to the base, we can get some food to eat on the way to the ship."

Ginning she looked at the neko, "Is that one of ya'll kitten things, having to eat all the time? We just came form that fancy food joint. Must be what powers ya'll a fission engine that runs off of thousands of pounds of food a day." She reached out of her coat and poked Aikiko's tummy, "Wonder if that is why there is never an over weight Nekos."

"No. we don't eat a lot. It just that we can convert a lot of stuff into the nutrients we need to sustain us." Aikiko looked thoughtful. "But then I hardly had to worry about food after I left the mines to become a Peacekeeper." She spoke softly, remembering the unpleasant times when she had to go scrounging for food while others ended up starving. "As for being overweight... I dunno. I've never seen a fat Neko either."

"Must be all that clean livin'. She smiled, "So you were a copper? I've met a few of those over the years." She smirked as she watched the gates of the base start rolling towards them. "Sounds like a good job, why D'ja join up if you had a cushy job like that?"

Aikiko demeanor hardened as she spoke coldly, "The <censored> NMX tore through our Peacekeeper's Ships like a hot knife through warm butter." She looked out the window as the cab stopped at the gate to the base. "At the time I had worked my way into the Peacekeepers Navel branch so my demolition skill help track down interplanetary terrorist who used bombs in the course of their crime. We couldn't hold back the tide of them. It was every ship for them-selves and the UOC begged to rejoin the Yamatai Star Empire. While those were on ships became privateers to stop the predation of pirates against legal shipping and commercial passenger’s lines. As the military was to busy to deal with them."

She looked at Tony. "Been out there till our ship finally couldn't support it self and the crew scattered to find their own way. I joined the best gig in town to use my skills for the betterment of the people."

"I see..." Tony became silent trying to come up with something to say... She thought back on the reasons she joined, her hand moved up to the brim of her hat again of its own accord. "I guess we all join for something like that don't we..." She was about to go on but they pulled up in front of the gate house and the guard was asking for Indents. Tony reached into her pocket and pulled out her Nepleslian card out and showed the guard, who looked at it and scanned it with a wand. With a nod the card was handed back and the Guard looked over at Aikiko.

Aikiko pulled hers out just incase, she reached over with her card so he could scan it. "I'm her escort." She told the guard before he could ask about that as he scanned her ID card. He glared at the driver and told him where to park his cab.

Military / Spaceport

Which was a few feet past the Guard shack where other cabs were parked waiting for fares. The cab driver nodded and moved to the cab parking area and parked. The cabdriver looked at Aikiko, "50 KS," Pointing to the meter.

Tony was quick as a rabbit this time, wiping out her DA card, it would be close to 100DA for her, but what ever... She even coded another 25 DA (12.5KS) for a tip. Climbing out, she thanked the driver. "I shouldn't be long, I just want to switch over to a dry shirt." She thumbed towards the open cargo bay.

Aikiko left the cab from her side and joined up with her as Tony was talking. "I need to change out of my dress uniform. Don't want to mess up my good uniform." She moved towards the open cargo bay of the Eucharis. She smiled widely as she sees the big container that contained her Mindy and few other crates that had the shipping logo from Fort Min also along side her duffel bag and footlocker. "Yes! My baby is here!" She ran ahead to the ship, smiling as she looked the crates over for shipping damages.

Aikiko kneeled next to her footlocker and opened it up and tossing back the lid. The contents were mixed with UOCPF Gear and Star Army Issue. She moved stuff around and pulled out a pistol case with UOCPF logo on it and another duty uniform with pants instead of a skirt. Stepping from view of the public, she changed into her work uniform. Stuffing her wet uniform into the footlocker and closing it.

Tony went to the wardroom and stripped her wet shirt off along with the undershirt. Tossing them into her bag she grabbed dry replacements along with her under shoulder sling and her Zen Arms .357 pistol. Grabbing a small gym bag she tossed the extra mags, and a few extra boxes of ammo for both her .357 and her HHG. Then she grabbed her rifle case. It was a simple aluminum case with out any adornments beyond a bumper sticker that read "This Mama is Packing."

With her new jacket draped again over her shoulders she came walking back into the cargo bay looking for Aikiko. "Ready?"

Aikiko put on the Peacekeeper holstered weapon along with her Star Army pistol. "Just about," Putting the case back in the open footlocker and closing the lid. "Now I am ready." She turned to face Tony. "Off to the ranges?" She took off to the motor pool to get a vehicle to drive to the ranges on the base. "Huh... you know how to drive?" She looked at Tony.

"Uhh yeah I do... but will they allow me here on this planet?" She smiled as she gently dropped her gym-bag and her rifle case in the back seat. "Or is it, I drive or we walk cause ya'll don't know how?"

Aikiko blushed softly as she kicked at the pavement. "I never learned how..." She looked into the window at the ignition. It was empty. "I'll have to bluff my way to get the keys for the vehicle." She looked around and spotted the Motor pool Office and took off for it. She entered and had to seriously fast-talk her way to get the vehicle. She gestured at Tony as the Motor Sergeant looked out the window at Tony and smirked. He handed her the keys to the vehicle and she signed off on the register for the vehicle. Soon she was coming back to the vehicle. She tossed the keys to Tony. "You drive." hurriedly got in the passenger seat.

With a huge grin Tony caught the keys and slide behind the wheel. "Next leave we get we got to remedy this, how the hell are we going to get back to the ship after a night of me drinking the leave planets dry?" Turning the engine over, Tony worked the gears and slammed the vehicle into reverse for a few feet before slamming the brakes and shifted, the car spun around and then shot off down the road. "Where To?"

Aikiko looked at Tony, "We bat our eyes and look all sweet and innocent. Letting the poor fool drive us to the ship." Grabbing the hand bar to brace herself as Tony took off. She spoke as she unfolded the map to look it over as she guided Tony to the indoor range. Soon after a few wrong turns that were easily corrected by doing some off-roading across some of the military residence's lawns. They arrived at the range as the rain turned into a gentle misting rain.

The Range was a simple layout at first glance. Big open area with a long run before a hardened Zesuaium back stop. But what made it much diffrent from the ones Tony had used as a kid was the fact that there was a energy shield keeping the weather out and the volumetric target systems. Each shaped target was scanned by sensor systems that would alert the shooter where on it they hit and over lay of a multi-shot pattern.
With a whistle Tony smiled, "Dang this is pretty sweet."

Aikiko was impressed also. "Yeah." Moving up to her selected lane, the volumetric system activated. A soft voice asked, "What type of weapons will you be using?" Aikiko drew out her weapon and showed it as she spoke. "Type-33 and Mugen Armories E1 Energy Pistol." After a pause, The voice spoke again, "Affirmative. You may begin to shoot at your discretion." Aikiko first shots with her right hand, hitting the bull's eye ring steadily. After about twenty to twenty-five shots at 70 meters, Aikiko switched to her left hand. "Record current target. New Target." She then fired about the same with her left hand. "Display both." The one target showed up with two different colors representing each of the targets. Both right hand and left hand shot groups were within the kill zone of center mass.

Watching the Neko work her pistol, Tony took out her Wesp. It took some doing and a few searches online before the range's AI figured out it was a real rifle. Once the AI was convinced She place her large oversized ear-pro on along with her yellow tinted shootin' glasses. Shaking her head and neck out she laid out and gently whispered for a humanoid siluete at 2500 meters as she flicked the bi-pod into place. Looking through her scope she knew she was showing off, a cold shot like this she would have normally only done 1500-2000 meters to warm up on. Breathing out she centered on the head just below where the nose would have been. with a smooth action she squeezed back on the trigger. A Loud blast filled the range. She hadn't heard that sound in a few weeks, damned space travel.
The screen popped up with a image of the target, the humanoid was hit right in the correct spot blowing through were the upper lip would have been right through the upper spinal cord or brain steam would have once lived.

Aikiko used to the more silent energy weapons, jumped at least two feet in the air, "What the faaa....?!" Looking over at Tony and then at the target. She whistled softly impressed with the shot that Tony did. "Warn me next time you shoot! Nice shot!" She yelled as her ears rang from the explosion Tony's rifle made. Her eyes wide, shaking her head to make the ringing stop. She would have to go get some ear protection. Or borrow Tony's. "How you guys prevent from going deaf after you fire that thing?" Still yelling as the ringing faded away.

Tony blushed as she pulled another pair of noise canceling ear-pro out of her gym bag. "These.. they only filter out the weapons fire, umm sorry I thought you Super Kitties could handle it or I would have offered... I have a pair of ear plugs for combat, but I hate using them out side. Plus I think these look cool..." She smiled before pulling the mag and safeing the rifle. "You wanna try?"

Aikiko nodded and at hearing Tony, her smile widen, "Hell ya!" She safes her type-33 and moved over to Tony. "Love to. What range?" As she waited for Tony to begin to instruct her, being with an unfamiliar weapon, she could easily swallow her pride and accept the instructions with good grace and interest.

"Well it's effective between 2000-3000 meters, but with practice and a good day you could hit out to 4000. As for the rest it's been sighted in with a click scale, one click on the knob is about 100 meters. Though first time up I would try for a tagger about 500 meters away." She smiled as she handed the rifle and the mag over to the Neko.

Aikiko listened to Tony, watching her closely as she showed her how to operate the weapon. She was smiling softly with a glint in her eyes. She took the weapon from Tony. She being careful to keep the muzzle from pointing at Tony. She treated the weapon as if it was loaded. Taking the magazine from her, she loaded the weapon as she seen Tony did. She got in the prone position behind the weapon with the butt against her shoulder. She aimed as she shifted a bit and then locked and loaded the first round. Getting comfortable, she aimed at the target center mass about the throat meeting the chest was her point of aim. She took up the slack, breathing steady till the natural pause in breathing, she squeezed off the shot. BANG!! She nearly dropped the rifle as she was once again surprised. The target screen popped up, showing the point of aim and where the projectile hit. The strike showed her blowing the poor target's heart out the back.

Aikiko cleared the weapon, catching the ejected round and released the magazine while bolt was still back. "That’s sweeeet!" She wanted to fire the weapon again. But this was Tony's rifle. Leaving the rifle propped on the bipod, she got up as she laid the loose round next to the magazine.

With a grin Tony clapped, "Not bad. though once you get use to the noise and kick this is nothing." She drew her pistol the HHG, "Now this on the other hand, works with three different settings, first is straight up powder chemical reaction. Second is a rail gun system using magnets and what not. Thirdly there is the combination of the two which is the most powerful. It'll kick like a mule in heat."

With all the noise going on at the range, other military personnel began to show up to see what the hell was happening. Even a few Civilians were there also to watch the action. Aikiko was rubbing her shoulder a bit as she nodded. She listened to Tony as she explained the HHG. "Okay. Be prepped for the kick when you fire it with chemical powered projectiles."

"Yep, but you Kittens are quick healers right? So a broken wrist won't be so bad right?" Tony asked, though her tone was flat she was being quite sarcastic. Even the Neplisean military knew about the Neko's strengths. it was one of the reasons they weren't allowed.

Aikiko was a bit worried about the rifle and ammo sitting on the firing pad with ammo for it. She secured the rifle and ammo in the case. Aikiko shrugged. "I never had broken wrist, so I wouldn't know." She smiled at Tony. Moving to stand next to her. "You want to demonstrate first? Or let me blow a hole in my foot?" Aikiko smiled mischievously at Tony.

"It's your foot." She smiled, but Antonia stepped up to the line and requested a target a 10 meters. Taking a bead on the target she flipped it over to the tertiary mode. Gently she squeezed the trigger letting out a thunderous boom. The target ended up with a huge hole in the center. "See nothing to it." She smile even knowing that if she fired to many shots her wrist and arm would start hurting, and tomorrow they would be aching.

Aikiko even though she expected the report of the HHG, the loud noise still caused her to flinch a bit. She waited till the volumetrics register the hit and the display showed it. Even though it was obvious to see it with natural eyesight at close range. She stepped up next to Tony, smiling a bit predatory. "Nice." was all she could say at the moment, itching to try the weapon herself.

Some of the bystanders that was drawn to the range, made comments to each other and shouted out encouragement and of course insults that Aikiko could do better.

Which of course had gotten the two faction arguing with each other.

Glancing back at the small crowd Tony gestured to them with a fairly international one count.... before looking back at Her new friend. "Two hands and brace," she spoke as the HHG was handed over. "And lean into it... or you might get knocked over."

Aikiko took the HHG as the crowd snickered at the comment Tony made to her. She ignored them as she paid attention to Tony's instruction. "Gotcha," Taking her place at the firing line. As she got into the typical stance to fire the weapon, using the two handed grip. One to hold the weapon and the other to brace both the weapon and the her firing hand. She aimed as the new target appeared down range at the same distance. She took aim in the standard police stance. She slowly squeezed the trigger as she had seen Tony do. She fired the weapon, causing her to take a step back involuntary as the area just an inch below where Ton placed her shot, a hole appeared.

Aikiko stepped from the firing line as the crowd hooted their displeasure at the shot. Some demanding for her to shoot again as Aikiko held out the now safed weapon to Tony. "Looks like we got betting going on to see who is better."

Nodding Tony took the pistol back and called up a new target, this time out at 15 meters. "Well then we better give a show.. and well maybe you should go and put some cash down. Tony grinned before taking aim and firing. The shot hti mass, a half inch from center mark. "All yous." She said as she safed the pistol and handed it back over, with the eight rounds in the pistol there were enough for four shots a piece, a good amount for little competition.

Aikiko smiled and moved off to join a few of the spectators and found the the person holding the bets. She placed a 100 KS on herself for self pride and incentive. She returned as Tony stepped from the firing line taking a glance at her results. She took the weapon and moved up to the firing line. There was a twinkle in her eyes that wasn't there before. She took a different stance, a more aggressive one. This time the HHG was in her left hand and braced with the right. She took several deep breaths of air, aimed and fired. The barrel barely moved up on the recoil. Even though she still took that step back again. Her projectile blown a hole in the target.

When the two targets were displayed, it showed that Tony's was closer to center as her's was a noticeable 3 millimeters lower. She safed the weapon and handed it over to Tony. "Getting closer," To Tony, then to the crowd, "Double or nothing?" Aikiko yelled as she looked at one of the spectators. He nodded back with a smile.

"Hmm.." Glancing back she saw bets being increased and stacked about. "Better make it triple or nothing, or they won't bet a dime in your favor." She winked at a few Neplesians who were betting big buck on her self to win. She stepped up to the firing line and called for a randomly moving target at 20 meters.

She took a deep breath and raised the pistol up to take aim on the target. It was about half of the effective range for the weapon, so she took her time to relax and take aim. After about 10 seconds she fired off. It hit the edge of the target. "Guess things are getting interesting." She winked again but this time at Aikiko as she handed the safed weapon over.

Aikiko looked worried at the target choice of Tony's. A cheer from the Nepleslaians yelled their approval, as Akiko looked at the moving target as she moved up to the target. "Looks like I'm gonna loose my money...." She muttered softly as she raised the weapon, flicking off the safety as she approached the firing line. Aimed and fired one hand, in middle of a step, which the recoil put her flat on her butt, broke her wrist with a loud snap as the volumetric target exploded as it was midway dropping to make a lower silhouette.

Everyone went quiet as she dropped the HHG to the firing pad and moved her good hand to hold the shattered wrist. "Damn it!" Very painfully. as she sat there with tears running down her cheeks.

Watching her go down Tony stepped up and dropped to her knees next to Aikiko, "You Stupid Cat... Even my Boyfriend never would have fired it one handed..." She sighed and slid the pistol into it's holster.. "Now we got to get you to a Med bay... " Tony looked up at the folks that were standing about, "Well? Get a Damned Medic!"

One of the bystanders was a Medic came trotting up and kneeled next to Aikiko, "Stupid Cat," Even then he was a Minkin NH-33. As he shot her up with painkillers and began to treat the broken wrist. "I hope you ain't shipping out in a few days, Miss." He looked at Stark. "What the hell was going on here, Cadet?" While treated Aikiko.

"Shooting practice... She just wasn't used to real weapons." Tony smiled faintly as she watched the Medic work. "I think we are shipping out soon."

The Minkin Medic worked quickly in wrapping it up. "What ship? You know I've got to report this, Cadet?" Glancing at Tony and Aikiko. "What the hell is a Fort Minori soldier doing here?" Taking note of Aikiko's patch

"We're new reports for the Eucharis." tony cringed at the idea of the report. Lords knew what the Boss lady was going to say.

"I transfered in from there and was assigned to escort the Cadet, Doc." Aikiko spoke at the same time Tony was speaking.

"Okay .. one from the the Eucharis and one from Fort Minori....He looked at them both as he set the bones in Aikiko's wrist. "So I take it you both are for Eucharis as it commonly known to be taking on new crew." He finished up the bandaging. "Tell you what.... both of you be my date for the Base Annual Dance tonight. And I'll lose the report. If you both ditch me...." He left the threat hanging in the silence as he repacked his aide bag. "That means dresses for the both of you. Uniform optional. No weapons are allowed." He smiled as he stood up

Tony's hand dropped reflexively to her hip. The HHG still had a few more rounds in it...

"No Tony. Don't think it..." Aikiko moved to block Tony's hand from her HHG. "We accept. Where it will be held?"

All Antonia could think was that there was still the silenced .357 under her jacket. Dirty bastard taking advantage of the situation. Back home she could have pistol whipped him and been done with it.

I'll be picking you both up at Planetary Time 6:00 hrs.” He spoke as he pulled out a KS card reader. “I need to see your Card, Stupid Kitten.” He motioned her KS Card.

Aikiko pulled out her card and handed it to him. He tapped some buttons and inserted her KS Card. He tapped a button once. He removed her card and handed it back to her. “I should’ve kept the money.” He smiled at the both of them. “But 1400 KS is not bad for a broken wrist.” He walked off to rejoin his buddies.

Akiko called after him. "What's your name?"

"Hiroshima Naguteki." He spoke over his shoulder at her as he joined his buddies and left the range with them.

"Mother Fracking..." Tony turned and looked down to Aikiko offering a hand to her. "Why'd you let him to that... You get in trouble around here for getting hurt?" Tony cautiously pulled the neko up to her feet.

Aikiko got up with Tony's help, "Well... yeah.. and betting is kinda illegal as hell. especially on a military base. Star Army owns my body. So If I damage it..I get in trouble." She shrugs as she looks at the crisp white bandages on her wrist. "At least he's handsome." Smiles cheeky at Tony.

Frowning Tony started packing her rifle back up. "It was an accident... i doubt that they would have jumped you that badly, hell back in the SNoN you'd just have to be down checked for a bit." She slammed the lid down on the rifle case. "Could sneak off and make sure he never makes it to the party..." She muttered to herself as she grabbed her bags.

Aikiko could hear Tony muttering, but ignored it as she waited for her. At least Tony could take her frustration out in driving back to the ship. They had like several hours for their date to show up to pick them up. "We better get back to the ship to get ready." Aikiko helped clean up the expended brass and disposed of it properly.

"Here don't toss the brass, i can get those reloaded... There a bit cheaper to buy that way..." Her voice was low but none of the anger was directed at Aikiko. "Yeah.. Let's go I have to decide which pare of jeans I should wear."

Aikiko dug out the brass for Tony from the bin grabbing a few extra for her while she was at it. Aikiko smirked as she moved to the vehicle. "Dresses. Not pants." Oh this was going to be a sight to see. She placed the brass she recovered and some extra in a bag for Tony. She got in the vehicle waiting for Tony. Hoping that the rest of the crew was gone when they got back.

Tossing her things in the back seat, the red head slid into the driver's seat again and fired it up. It was easier to get back to the ship, all she had to do was back track this time. "You know all the dresses I have are in a trunk at my parent's storage locker? right?" She sighed and she power slid into a turn.

"Calm down, Tony, I've a few dresses that would look good on you. Besides, Half of what I won is your's." Aikiko looked at Tony, "we could go shopping now." Smiled with a soft giggle. "Well minus the 100 KS from earlier." Aikiko hung on during the power slide.

As she drove Stark did the math in her head. that would been 600ks... 'Which would be what... about...' Tony's eyes went wide as she slammed on the brakes sliding into a stop in front of the ship. "That's... that's 1200 DA... You took them for that much? Hell I was planning on letting you win to scalp them but damn..."

"In order to win, I had to fire one handed. One Neppie betted me I wouldn't fire one handed the HHG at max power." Aikiko removed the bandage from her wrist and flexed it along with her three fingers and thumb. "A lot more than I betted on for me to win." Tossing the bandages under her seat. "What you was shooting at I could've done it with ease. But not at max." She gave Tony a smile, "It put nice dent in the back barrier of the range."

"I see... Well I used to have a brace for my arm that allowed me to shoot like that... but I lost it in a brawl one night." She smiled before shutting the car down and standing up out of it. She grabbed her case and the gym bag and looked over at the brown haired neko, "I haven't worn a dress since he shipped out..."

Aikiko got out of the vehicle. She looked over at Tony. "The hat?" As if she read her mind. But it was pretty obvious to her as she wouldn't give up her uocpf uniforms for the good memories they evoked. She handed over the bag of brass and went into the ship to her footlocker. She worked the combination to open it up. She looked at Tony as she looked over a few outfits in there. "What is your favorite color, Tony?"

"Yeah... It was his..." She followed the neko into the ship and dropped into a seat. "Green I guess... then again I rather that spaz monkey not see me in that color... Something plain... maybe something bland." She leaned back in the chair and pulled her hat down to her lap and stared at it.

Aikiko looked at Tony and pulled out a nice blue combo of skirt and blouse. The skirt was knee length and a darker blue than the blouse. "Will this do?" holding both up for her look at.

She never looked up, "Yeah I guess it'll work."

"Come on, lets get changed," Laying the Blue outfit next to Tony. along with a set of sandals she can wear. Aikiko chose for herself a yellow outfit similar to the one she gave to Tony to borrow. She picked out a black pair of high heels for herself. She changed into her outfit. "You feeling okay Tony?" Seeing her friend depressed.

"I'll be fine," With a sigh she stood and started stripping. "Just haven't done anything nice since I joined up. Guess I should just deal." She tossed her uniform onto her bag and kicked her shoes off next to it.

Aikiko nodded as she finished up with her dressing and placed all of her stuff in the footlocker and secured it. "Make the best of this. I'd be lost also if I was in a strange place."

Spaceport : Eucharis

Naguteki showed up right on time. He parked near the open cargo bay doors, out of the way of the supplies being loaded. He looked around and into the cargo hold to see if the two he seen from the range earlier.

Antonia stood there on the ramp in the blue dress that Aikiko had lent her, she was all 'dolled' up as they would have said back home. though like at home she wasn't de-toothed, strapped to her leg with some shoelaces was her .357 with the silencer screwed on. She should be safe from him noticing, it was up at a height that if he did notice she would have already been attempting to break his hand.

Aikiko stood next to Tony in her yellow outfit, looking anything like a Star Army Neko. She stood a bit taller than Tony cause of her black high heels. She had her trusty Nepleslaian K-bar strapped to her thigh. Slung over one shoulder was a clutch bag like purse for her lady things and her mini plasma torch from her EOD tool kit. Even though she wasn't expecting trouble. She was prepared for it.

Naguteki eyes widen in surprise at seeing the two of them. "Greetings, your chariot awaits," giving them a deep bow with a sweep of his hand towards his base privileged vehicle. He straighten up and looked them both. "Good thing I was at the range today." Hemoved to the vehicle and held the door open for the both of them. Just as the front door of the vehicle opened, out stepped a Nepleslaian Marine Sergeant. "You wasn't lying Nags." The sergeant gave an appreciative whistle at the two ladies.

Tony ignored the Marine though the fact he was a Marine stung a bit. She pushed her way into the driver seat and ploppled down. "Come on... get in I don't want to be out all night." She grumped a bit as she sat there.

Aikiko settled in next to Tony as the two men got back. He was kinda disappointed that the two ladies sat in front together. The men got in the back. Aikiko had experienced Tony's driving already and hung on without seaming to.

Nags spoke up, "If you wreck my assigned vehicle, Cadet. You'll never see your home world." The Marine Sergeant laughed at the discomfort of Nags.

Aikiko snickered, "Tell us where we are going?" She turned in her seat to look at Naguteki.

"Head towards the range where I met you. Instead of turning into the range. Keep going past it." Naguteki told Tony.

Goosing the throttle, tony caused the car to tear off leaving track marks in front of the ship. If the Shosho was going to chew someone out it probably be the smuck who's car this was. With a light laugh she power slid into every turn and was trying to be the base's speed records for ship launches. the range flew past in a matter of minutes as she slowed a hair looking for a place that could hold a dance.

The Nepleslaian Sergeant had a big grin on his face, "Now that is how ya suppose to drive!" The Sergeant roared his approval of Tony's driving while Nags stewed looking madder than mad rabbit as he hung for dear life.

"Next street ...... Dammit Slow down! You passed the road where we were suppose to turn at!" Naguteki spoke angry at Tony, which made the sergeant laugh, "I know of a bar farther up the street."

Aikiko snickered at their plight as she looked stoic as ever. Enjoying the predictiment at Naguteki was in. She looked at Tony with a twinkle in her eyes as then to the Sergeant. "Do all Nepleslaian drive like Tony?" Watching his face turn thoughtful.
Pulling the brake and turning the wheel over hard she fished tailed into a U-turn and shot back down to the turn she was suppose to make, "Yes... Or you might end up with more bullet holes in ya'lls car."

Everyone hung on as Tony whipped the car around and barreled back down the road. Nepleslaian nodded to Tony's statement. "Got that right!" Naguteki was stewing quietly as he didn't expect things to turn out the way things were going. Naguteki yelled over the screaming engine. "The big house at the end of the street is where we're going."
"So, Kitten?" The Nepleslaian Sergeant looking at Aikiko, "you got a name?" He leaned forward in between the two of them on the front seat.

"Yeah I do." Aikiko spoke up turning to face The Nepleslaian Sergeant who smirked a bit. and then laughed heartily. "And I bet you have a name also?"

Military Base Annual Ball Party (Kegger)

Bringing the vehicle into a screeching stop that might cause a bit of damage to the car, Tony looked back, "Yah I do... and maybe in a few months if you play your cards right you might just find out."

The Nepleslaian nodded, "You got that right. I like you kitten." He looked at Tony. "Well Miss Cadet, I see you're already claimed," giving her hat brim a tap in a manner of respect that only Nepleslaians know.

She pushed the door open and got out. As he tapped her hat, she fought an overwhelming urge to break his hand.

Aikiko got out along with the rest of them, straighten out her clothing and moved to join Tony. The Neplesaian Sergeant read her like a book and kept his distant, turning his attention on Aikiko. Leaving Naguteki with Tony. She took the offered arm of the Sergeant, leaving Naguteki grabbing his keys from the ignition and pocketing them.
Nepleslaian led Aikiko up the walk way towards the big well lighted house that had music blaring out and sounds of loud conversation going on. Aikiko walked beside the towering sergeant at her side.

"A kegger? Really?" Tony switched over to a mockery of his voice, "An Anual Base Ball..." She rolled her eyes and trudged up the stairs into the crowd.

The Sergeant laughed, "You ever been to a kegger?" He yelled after Tony. They followed, leaving poor Naguteki alone trailing behind them without a date on his arm.
Aikiko sighed and forgot about Tony, she could handle herself with this crowd. She could hang out with Tony and the Sergeant or go hang out with other neplesaians.

Rolling her eyes again she made her way to the kitchen where genitics and the 6th sense that all nepliesaians had told her the kegs would be. Once there She grabbed a plastic cup and filled it. "Fething medic, needs his nose broken and maybe his wrist." She was speaking to no one in particular as she filled up a second time. The beer was a cheap one and it was cold so it wasn't the worst thing to ever happen.

Aikiko pretty much let the sergeant be her guide and give her drinks. She having learned that alcohol doesn't effect her that much, she could drink a lot of them under the table.

A Nepleslian lady Marine laughed overhearing Tony. "you didn't do it? You're slipping!" She disappeared into the fray carrying her drink with her.

Aikiko moved with the Sergeant with his arm draped over her shoulder, and bragging to his friends. Somehow a drink appeared in her hands and joined in on the enjoyment, relaxing as this reminded her of the pub back on Hici. People loud and drunk having a good time. She relaxed and began to enjoy herself. She told of her exploits on the range. She danced with the Marine Sergeant and few others.

Frowning at the lady's comment Tony filled up a third time and started wondering around, when she found some food she started nibbling, which turned into a full assault on the snack platter, she hadn’t ate since lunch.

Aikiko took a break and moved up besides Tony. She had a the warm and fuzzies of a slight intoxication. "So, finding anything to your liking?" Helping herself to the snacks. Eating what was laid out. More food appeared as it was consumed. She looked over the crowd and felt a breeze coming in through an open door. She was there long enough to hear Tony's remarks.

"Yeah I guess... Though it feels like a street gang kegger... hells my folks would crap a star cruiser." She smiled as she watched the neko drift off again. Though the big difference was there was a chance of another gang trying to bust in and take over the party. with a fond sigh she grabbed a hand full of the little meat wraps and started wondering about.

Aikiko moved through the room and finding the open door, which was a big sliding glass door open onto the patio where there was more people and a big pool. She came to a stop as there was people in the pool, both Yammies and Nepleslaians in various state of dress and intoxication splashing around the pool and having fun. Aikiko moved along the edge of the pool and suddenly she was shoved off into the pool with a splash and yelp.

She took a crash course in learning, arms and legs flaing in full panic as she didn't know whether she was drowning or swimming. Someone grabbed her and shoved her from the pool onto the pool's deck where she cough and hacked up a lot of water. Some Marine was trying to give her mouth to mouth or trying to kiss her. She tried to push him away.

It was less then a second after Tony saw the man attack Aikiko that the silenced pistol was pressed against his head. "Yo Bub... Maybe check to see if she needs it first..." She caulked the hammer back with a smiled, "And you ain't no Yami officer this time..."

The guy froze as he felt the cold barrel at the back of his head he froze and listened. "Of course I am no Yammie! I'm a Marine and trying to save this kitten!" he snarled. "Use it or lose it." He tensed up to make his move on Tony. Aikiko saw what was happening and seen the glint of the weapon in Tony's hand. The place went quiet as there was more guns appearing in the Nepleslaian's hands.

"Stand and walk Bub..." She stepped back and slightly lowered the pistol. "She's fine." Tony caught the flashing of steel around her. Now this was a party.

He rose to his feet, facing Tony looking angry. But he didn't make a move for his hidden weapon. It seamed that the other Yammies and Nekos faded from the scene. Except Aikiko who sat next to the pool drenched. The guy laughed. "quite a fix ya got yourself in miss. I like you. Lets go have a beer or some good old fashion Nepleslaian liquor?" he looked at Tony, totally forgotten about Aikiko.

Recovered from her sudden trip into the swimming pool and slipped to a place, hopefully it would be safe if the bullets began to fly. She looked at Tony, seeing she was happy? Looking calmer? At peace with the world?

She carefully lowered and gently lowered the hammer on the pistol, but she made no move to re-holster it. "I think first you own my firend an apology. Then I might concider a drink." As she spoke she gestured, not realizing she was using her pistol as a silence pointer.

The guy saw it was safe move, he looked around for the kitten he was trying to help okiss. he had forgotten about her as soon as the gun pressed against his head. "Looks like she took off!" He reached into his jacket and pulled out a flask and held it out to Tony. He yelled loudy, " Kitten! I apologize where ever ya are!" He looked at Tony. "Drink? and put that toy away. or get a real gun like a HHG!"

This caused Tony to snicker as she hiked her dress up to slid the pistol into the tied on holster. "Honey if only you knew..." She smiled and waved for him to lead her off to the booze.

Aikiko breathed a sigh of relief as the guns disappeared and everyone, at least the Nepleslaians, returned to partying. She came out from hiding and nodded to Tony, looking like a drowned cat. She was surrounded by very helpful Males and a few females who were trying to get them away from Aikiko. She went with a few Nepleslaian lady soldiers into the house, leaving a trail of wet foot prints. Her high heels were at the bottom of the pool.

He took her gently by the non-firing arm of her and escorted her to a private room where the serious drinkers were at. There was a pool game going amongst the drinkers and smokers and the booze flowed freely.

Tony looked at him a bit incredulously as he lead her in, but when the booze was in sight she allowed him a single small point. Grabbing a glass she filled it was a smoky smelling whisky. "So you always try to pick up Nekos by dunking them then 'performing' CPR?"
He laughed softly. "It worked the last time. How was I to know she couldn't swim?" As he helped himself to some saki. He then motioned to an empty table along the wall out away from the game of pool.

Rolling her eyes she dropped into a chair across from him. "You got to be careful I hear assaulting a member of the SAoY is punishable by death... Or so I have been told by reliable source." She smiled and took a sip of her drink.

"They gotta prove it first. What is so special about that Neko?" He spoke curiously at her as he took a healthy shot of his drink. He leaned back in his chair. Jacket opened, showing he was wearing some type of body armor and of course his weapon under his armpit. "Besides she was carrying a Marine K-bar. Wonder where she got that from?"
"She's my escort... Can't leave the ship without one... Apparently I'm a risk. As for The K-bar, probably got it from when she was with the Outer Colonies... But past that I could only guess." Tony nursed her drink as she turned to watch a bit of the pool game being played.

Aikiko went with the Marine ladies upstairs too get cleaned up and let her clothes dry out. Ended up talking with them as she stripped and dried off, hanging up her dress so it could drip dry. One of the Neppie ladies handed her drink.

"Aren't we all," The man spoke turning to watch the game also. "You don't hear much about them any more. Except a few odd one turns up. But most are hunted down like the pirates they are." He took another drink of the saki. "You play pool?" he was watching the Minkin win against a Nepleslaian. Money exchanged hands as the Nepleslaian walked off to drink. The Minkin looked around the room for anyone to challenge him as he ruled the pool table. Winners play, challenger pay.

Aikiko lounged upstairs with the ladies, in her underclothes as her dress and blouse dried off from her unwanted pool experience. The other females were giving her the eye at her sheathed Nepleslaian K-bay on strapped her thigh. The Yamataiian females scowled at that. Even a few Nekos. The Nepleslaian females smiled their approval. Some even went to suggest that if she was packing, it was better to bring a gun to a gunfight than a knife. Aikiko nodded with a half smile, taking a drink that was offered to her. Even though it was cheap beer, It was hell a lot better than the cheap rut-gut beer she had when she was a Hard Rock miner.

"Nice K-bar....Where did you get it?" One Nepleslaian Marine lady asked her while she freshened up after she did her thing.

"From someone who didn't need it." Aikiko looked at the lady as she felt the skirt, noting it was dry enough to wear. She put the skirt on covering up the k-bar on her. Soon the blouse followed. She reached up and moved her hair from underneath her collar

"You with the star army or a Yammie?" She asked moving to sit near Aikiko.

"Star Army." Aikiko spoke as she buttoned up her blouse. She looked around for a hairbrush as her hair would frizz if it dried uncombed.

"I don't think they issue them type of knife." The Nepleslaian spoke as she shifted her hidden weapon to a new location.

Aikiko shrugged, "My new commander didn't say anything about it." She looked in her clutch purse and frowned as her eyes widen at the amount of water that was in there. She moved to a sink and dumped the water out. It was a good thing that her important things were waterproof. She returned back to her seat and looked around for her shoes.

"I think your shoes are in the pool." The Neplesaian lady told her with a soft laugh. She handed Aikiko a hair brush and watched her brush her hair out quickly.

Aikiko worried about Tony. If she was still at the party or decided to find a car to go joyriding in. Aikiko shook her head as she realized that it was true as she handed back the hairbrush. "Oh well...I guess its barefootin time." she left the room and headed back down stairs. She would have to be careful not end up with a non-graceful dancer.

Military Base Annuel Party (Kegger)

Aikiko moved through the others as she headed back out to the patio. Someone came by and handed her shoes, Aikiko nodded her thanks to the gentleman in swimming trunks. He returned the smile and disappeared, leaving her along with a pair of ruined high heel shoes.

Aikiko looked at them and frowned as she moved through the crowd, staying away from the pool's edge. She found a garbage can and deposited the shoes into the garbage. She replaced the lid and moved on in her search for Tony. After a curcuit of the area and not finding Tony, headed back inside. The music softened to a more decent levels to allow conversations amongst the gathered people.

She paused next to the buffet of snacks and finger foods, helping herself to the food. As soon as she had a plateful. She began snacking on the food as she watched people pairing up and moving to room to dance.

Aikiko as she finished up her finger foods a male voice spoke beside her. "Wanna dance?" Just as a slow dance started.

She looked up at the source of the voice to see who it was. It was a Minkin that she had seen a glimpse at the firing range. This time he was wearing a respectable three piece suit. No sign of Saint insignia or uniform. "I gotta find my charge to see if she is okay." Giving him an appreciative smile.

"The woman you was with and the one pulled the gun on her own kind?" He spoke looking her over as she nodded yes. "She's in the pool room with another Nepleslian gentleman."

She smiled taking his arm in a ladylike fashion, letting him lead her into room and onto the dance floor where he swepted her into a very old style of dancing, The famous Waltz. Soon she had the hang of the simple dance as she let him teach her and coach her on the move. She was loving every minute of the dance as she was twirled and swirled about the floor as they made the loop around the dance floor along with the other couples.
