OOC The Wayward Discussion

Currently working on a name but the plot will revolve around a crew that goes out on all sorts of different adventures, anything form salvaging and mining to exploring ruins on planets looking for relics, to fighting raiders and pirates. The plot will focus on things at an individual level, so having a skill set where your character can take care of themselves in a fight might be a good idea. All sorts of jobs will be needed too. And combat will generally be on the scale of non-powered infantry, so on the damage scale the personnel level usually, or lighter vehicles.

I actually already run a plot (The Fringe) that does exactly this, although another one would by the looks of it be quite welcome.

Well I know a little about the fringe, not too much honestly. But I just feel there's too much that focuses on high powered combat in other Plots. Maybe the two ships will run into each other sometime, like trying to go after the same ruins or take down the same pirates or something XD

Question: Do I need to know the stellar "geography" to RP?

I've spent the last week trying to find Waypoint Station on the star map and have only just located it.

You don't really need to know it. Most places you can just Search it Like if you Search Rot Mädchen it says it's at Waypoint Trade Station, and Waypoint says where it is. It's a good idea to have a loose understanding of the rough shape of different nations boundaries, but since there's a map page and most people put where their place is located you can generally find it with one or two searches.

I know it says what system it is located at but I have been spending the last few days trying to find the star system ASE-006 on the space map.

Ah yeah that map doesn't seem to have the Abwehran space put on it, so you wont be able to find it. It looks like the cluster map was taken down as well so it wont be there.

ASE-006 is on the main map. It's just Northeast of Essia, which is 30 LY Northeast of Yamatai.
