Unit Four is a YNP police plot that will be primarily SP, with JP's on the side. PC's will take the roles of investigators on cases ranging from slave rings to high-profile murders.

Unit Four is widely considered an unlucky posting, both due to its name and its recent history: it is the only YNP unit to have suffered 100% casualties while on duty. It is now reconstituted with an eccentric veteran taking the helm.

Since this plot is so odd, the following is required for PC detectives/analysts:
  • Fighting, as seen in the Star Army Soldier,
  • Knowledge (Law) for the YSE and YNP procedures,
  • Analysis, ala police training -- you can use my example Here
  • And of course, Communications: radio ability, along with at least Trade for the language. By the nature of the plot, we prefer they're also fluent in Yamataian.

Edit: Oh, and PC Agents will be Sergeants in rank; Analysts/Officers will just be 'Officers'.

I am totally interested in this plot.

Don't believe me? Ask SSharp. I begged and begged for him to restart the little JP that I did with a YNP character. He got so sick and tired of me and Arieg that he made a plot. Sick and tired, people. He literally fell asleep in his bed last night. C'mon.

:D

My first canon Yamataian. This marks a lucky day for the faction!

The plot has been rebooted and I'll be handling things with Sharp's blessing.

I'm looking for 2 to 4 more players. Don't worry about skill requirements... just use your common sense and know the basics of what a cop would need to know. Knowledge: law would be helpful for this, but after that, you can tailor your character's skillset to whatever you'd like him/her to be.

Some ideas:

Detective
Beat Cop (Patrols. Deals with a lot of immediate problems.)
Public Relations (deals with media, assists with interviews/interrogations)
Forensics Analyst (might be a bit boring though, so you may want to multitask. Sitting in a lab all day isn't fun.)

Mind you, these aren't 'set' positions, but ideas to help you tailor your character to be able to do things. All created characters start as officer rank.

Characters made for the plot should consider how they ended up in Unit 4, which is a group of misfits or rookies assigned to a supposedly 'cursed' group. Be creative! Have fun!

Hope to see you around!
