Many of you may have seen me recently on IRC Chat! For the last month or two I've been showing up pretty regularly, courtesy of the Web client that sorcery.net hosts via their website.

Well, it's stopped working. ;_; This seems to be a server-side issue.

In the meantime, if anyone needs to contact me for anything, they may do so through PM as I am able to check the site fairly regularly now.

No luck with mibbit or any of the other browser based services?

Also have you tried Chatzilla or a downloadable client like mIRC?

Doubtful he can do that, Wes, since he's on the rec computers on his ship most of the time. That's why he uses the browser based one, if I recall.

Chatzilla and mIRC are both prevented from connecting through the NIPR net.

It doesn't help that, funnily enough, mIRC is used out here to communicate ship-to-ship.

Lol. Somewhere out there, a bunch of operations guys are chatting it up on mIRC, and slapping each other with fish.

I'm looking into Mibbit, but mibbit doesn't seem to want to work for me. The request always 'Times out' no matter how good my connection is.

I think the sorcerynet chat only worked because, until just recently, it bounced off of another IP in order to make the connection. I have a feeling we're not allowed to directly connect to ANYTHING on the NIPR net, which would explain the sudden difficulty; Sorcery.net, in order to conserve server space, eliminated this proxy-jump just recently, which explains my trouble.

I'm just going to have to wait until we hit port again.

Mibbit works. It just takes a long while to load.

All hope is, therefore, not completely lost.

The facebook thing stands, though.
