Claire Winters is a flirty and upbeat marine played by DragonNova. She is assigned to Star Military of the Democratic Imperium of Nepleslia 4th AASP Fleet
Height: 6'0”
Weight: 171
Measurements: 36-28-39
Bra Size: 36DD
Build and Skin Colour: She is suprisingly tough despite appearances. She has a sleek muscle tone and very lightly tanned skin. Her legs in particular are quite powerful.
Facial Features and Eye Color: Eye color: Blue
Hair Color and Style: She has straight red hair long enough to lay between her shoulder blades. This had been a bit of a problem when joining the marines at first, but she proved that it did not hinder her abilities in any way so she was allowed to keep it that way. She keeps it tied back in a low ponytail during her duties, as this was agreed upon by her superiors. (Her stubborn insistance also played a small part in that.) However when off-duty, she will sometimes let it hang loose, giving her hair a long, flowing appearance.
Distinguishing Features: She has a tattoo on her upper right arm in the shape of a black sword with a rose entwined around the blade. This is usually hidden by sleeves of any kind though. Her left hand has an odd scar on it's palm, shaped like a cresent moon and a cross on top of one another. She refuses to acknoweldge it though for some reason.
Personality: Claire is a bit perky at times, but generally is nice to those who aren't rude to her. She has a flirtatious demeanor and way of speaking, and in fact loves compliments and passes for boosting her ego. The Geshrin is slow to forget slights, however. And even slower to forgive. While she's okay with playful banter, insults and aggression will see her uncooperative nature arise. She may seem rather easygoing at times, but when it comes right down to a mission, she will do her job as is expected of marines… even if she does add her own bit of flair to how she does things. She is a fighter at heart, but not a killer. At least, she was until a certain mission…
As for temperement, She tends to be kind of daring, and although she hasn't gotten herself into trouble for it yet, she probably should think some things through before she does them. Nontheless, she hates being idle for very long. However, her anger is very powerful once she is finally pushed over the edge. It's rarity only makes it more potent.
Likes: People she can tease without repercussions, Big guns (Like she's implying something.), Cats, and Chocolate.
Dislikes: People who try to steal her chocolate, Cruelty, Silence, and long shifts.
Goals: She hopes to make money to help support her family and see some adventure in the process. And, if she's lucky, be able to see her friends, who are also in the military.
Claire was born in a newly developing city, so she had grown around industry. Her childhood was unremarkable for the most part, she recieved schooling like any other. Then she started working (illegally) in a power plant at the age of 15. This went without a hitch until finally it was investigated.
However, something went wrong during said investigation. One particularly twitchy employee thought something else entirely was happening and panicked. He actually pulled a gun and started firing on the police forces detaining people. The subsequent panic of bullets and shouts left 14 workers and 2 policemen dead, including the one who started it. The owner was taken into custody and Claire obviously lost her job.
A bit traumatized by the seemingly senseless killing around her, Claire returned home after being questioned and subsequently released. She lost a few nights of sleep over it but she recovered as she saw more and more such things as actually being close to normal in Nepleslian space. This was a bit disheartening for her, but it was the way things were so she became a little desensitized to it. Of course, she had no desire to do such things herself, but it's occurance no longer fazed her like normal.
She ran errands for her family for a couple of years until one day, while on another errand, she saw a Nepleslian girl named Amelia trying to get help for her ill mother. When she saw her about ready to break down from despair, she was reminded of how she felt during the incident at the power plant. She hesitated for a moment but then decided to help her obtain the medicine she needed. Amelia practically crushed her in a hug in thanks and ran off to give the medicine to her mother. It was then that Claire had made her closest friend.
A few years later, she was approached by Amelia, asking her to look after her younger sister. Claire was slightly confused at first, but after listening to what had happened, she agreed to take her in. She got a part time job at a nearby store to pay for supporting her.
Claire also found some extra money for when she learned to sing, as various places would pay her to come and do so to help set the mood for their patrons. Being around the streets of the city more often, she learned to be more assertive, and thus is where she became a bit more fiesty than usual. This is also when she began to work out and learn ways to protect herself. This combined with her lack of shame did not mix too well. For other people anyway.
One day, however, she was invited to come eat with a man she had met at one of the places she had sung at. It was nicely put together and the man was kind to her. However, there was something off. As soon as Claire bit into her food, she began to feel sick. Her head spun until she blacked out, her food apparently had been drugged. When she awoke, she found herself dressed in attire that left little to the imagination and a symbol carved into her hand. She had essentially been captured by this man and turned into his personal slave. No slavers or any business like that, just a demented man who had wanted her for himself. For almost a year, she spent being confined to his home. When she wasn't being forced to do chores around the house like some maid, the man was forcing himself upon her instead. At the end of this whole episode, she pretended to consent to his advances for once. With that, however, he let his guard down and she made sure he paid for it with his life. She, and a couple other girls that she had also found in a similar situation, fled the house and returned to her very worried family. She wouldn't tell them what happened though.
After a few months after she escaped, she heard that her closest friend had joined the Nepleslian marines. After her initial surprise that they even let her in, she decided that it would be a good opportunity for her to try something different and still be able to keep her promise. Leaving her friend's sister in the care of her own parents, she set off to join the marines. This was probably a hasty decision on her part, but luckily for her, nothing went horribly wrong.
She completed Basic and Advanced training without a hitch and awaits her assignment, although she was unable to find out where her friend had gone. That being said, she is excited about seeing and going new places and basically breaking away from the almost dull setting of planetside industry.
Claire has set her sights on Cirrus Station at the moment, thinking that she may see more of a variety of things on there than in other options she has. Whether or not this is true remains to be seen. Even though she does feel a little nervous, she has lost none of her fire. In light of all this, she may even be considered a bit lucky. Aside from the one plant incident, for the most part when she made poor decisions, the consequences were nowhere near as bad as they could have been, and probably should have been. With one exception of course.
-Met during an old posting at a spaceport that had been taken over by an escaped cargo of reprogrammed nekos. Though she and a couple others fought back, they were eventually overcome and rescued by the arriving squad. From that point on she went on to serve Cirrus faithfully, growing close to a couple of her squadmates and developing a deep hatred for the actions of Vinross-Yu. It came to a head during an infiltration where she and her fellow squadmate Tweak faced down Belle, the captain of Vinross-Yu's personal guard who had become filled with enough combat drugs to outperform nekos almost doubly so. Through some intense hand to hand combat and cooperation with her ally, she managed to swipe her plasma pistol and land the killing blow. Since then, she has been quiet from the active scene, working more behind the scenes for Cassefin until her recent reassignment.
Claire is familiar with basic radio operation and procedures and can make transmissions to and receive transmissions from other squadmates through headsets, ships, ground vehicles, power armor, and shuttles in both combat and non-combat conditions. She is also fluent in Nepleslian. He can speak and write it correctly and efficiently and can write reports, fill forms, issue orders under fire, etc. She is skilled in field communications and is proficient in all rudimentary forms of communication (hand signals, flashing lights, etc).
Claire received intensive hand-to-hand combat training and has followed up that knowledge with a rigorous training program. She was trained in pistols of all types, knives, grenades and rifles of all kinds. She is in excellent physical shape from the army's training regime and has gained considerable endurance because of it. She also learned how to pilot land-based power armors, but she must rely on the suit’s A.I. to do anything advanced. Her experience in fighting superhuman opponents has afforded her exceptional skill in hand to hand combat, and is savvy with grappling in her time planetside dealing with unwanted suitors.
Claire learned during basic how to survive in hostile environments. She can build shelters, hunt and forage for food, build a fire, etc, none of which she would have learned where she lived. She also can camouflage herself, and actually did quite well in doing so. She also learned a little bit about guerrilla warfare tactics.
Claire was taught how to understand and give out tactical commands and work with her troop to follow those commands efficiently during her basic and advanced training. She knows the importance of teamwork on the battlefield, has been intensively trained in discipline and morale, and is able to recognize the command structure even while under extreme pressure (combat, etc). She was also taught to recognize ambush points.
Between her time working in the power plant, living in an industrial city, and recieving some training during advanced, she knows how to keep most Military and Civillian vehicles and machinery working. She doesn't claim to know how each little thing works, but she can keep it running. Not to be mistaken for a real mechanic however.
One thing she did enjoy doing (Aside from learning things in bed,) during her years at home was learning to sing. She wasn't that good at it however until she met her closest friend. Inspired by her, she tried her best to get better at it. She got much better as she practiced and was all too proud to show everyone how much she improved. She and her friend would sing together for people after long days of work at various places. She doesn't do it as often now that she is in the military, but you can still hear her hum one of their songs from time to time.
While taking care of her friend's little sister, Claire learned to cook quite well. While not really up to cooking cuisine or any crap like that, she can cook rather decent meals when she needs to and there have been very few complaints from anyone who has actually tasted it. When asked what she does differently, she simply replies, “I just go by the rule that If I wouldn't want to eat it, no one else is going to want to either.”
Claire Winters is currently a Private 2nd Class in the Star Military of the Democratic Imperium of Nepleslia. She receives a weekly salary of 100 DA per week.

It's been too long since I've updated the page. The description I put didn't make sense at all and didn't match the character I played.
Still making small tweaks. I'll tackle the large task of her service record someday…
