Tasuku is a player character played by Scribbles and is currently involved in the YSS Eucharis plot. He was previously involved in the YSS Sakura and YSS Goban plots.

Build and Skin Color: At 5'10” Tasuku is taller than any Neko, and many Yamataians (many who are former Nekos). He is in very good physical condition. Spending nearly 2 years living in the high gravity he has developed a fair amount of muscular mass, looking more far more toned than the average Yamataian.

Facial Features and Eye Color: His eyes are a medium blue. He has a wedge shaped face (as opposed to a round or square head), and a straight, thin nose.

Hair Color and Style: Tasuku has loose black hair that is a couple of inches long.

Distinguishing Features: Scar across his right collar bone, caused during a mountain biking accident in his early teens. Scar on upper left chest(and matching scar on the back) from an aether beam wound during his service on the YSS Sakura.

Personality: Tasuku might be known for his peculiar nature, and habit of (figuratively) putting his foot in his mouth occasionally. He is rather self confident when on his own or with peers, but he tries to keep a 'low profile' when around officers.

Born on Yamatai in YE 08, he led a somewhat privileged and mildly sheltered childhood, something that had made him bit naive about the ways of the world before joining the SAoY. He enjoyed outdoor sports during his childhood such as rock climbing, ATV based sports, and sailing. He spent much of his time before joining the Star Army studying engineering in Kyoto, Yamatai. During the two years before joining the the Star Army he was an engineering science student at the Western Kyoto Technical College.

Tasuku joined the Star Army of Yamatai in early YE 28 hoping to find adventure and excitement; only to find a serious and far more sobering situation during the first Mishhuvurthyar war. After a two mission stint as a Technical Sentry on the YSS Sakura, he was transferred to the YSS Goban where he served as the ships weapons officer(Starship Operations) until his disappearance when that ship was captured by a group of rogue Neko. When the rest of the Goban crew eventually caught up with the ship there was little trace of him, and he has since been classified as Missing In Action.

Tasuku was first assigned to the YSS Sakura under the command of Taisa Rufus Sydney, during the end of Sakura mission 4. He was present for the Yamatai conquest of Lor, and later participated in Sakura Mission's 5 and 6 as it attempted to unravel the mystery of Black Spiral and the Mishhuvurthyar. He went MIA during Goban mission 1, not long after Goban had engaged in a battle with a BellyStabber II class pirate vessel.

He had refused to 'upgrade' to a Yamataian body while on the Sakura, a with complex reasoning behind the decision. In his personal logs he half jokingly and sarcastically referred to the Sakura medical sprites as 'vicious body snatching harpys', after the last time they attempted to pressure him into an 'upgrade', but even then his attitude toward the subject showed signs of running deeper than a simple dislike of the medical sprites.

Tasuku was discovered on HX-12 and rescued by the YSS Eucharis in YE 31, almost immediately(40min) he was thrust into the Battle of Nataria, and the beginning of the second Mishhuvurthyar war.

During his time in Star Army training, he has learned Yamataian procedures including radio operation and procedures and can make transmissions to and receive transmissions from other persons through headsets, starships, power armor, and shuttles in both combat and non-combat conditions. He is fluent in both Yamataian and Nepleslian. Tasuku can write reports, fill forms, issue orders under fire, etc.

Tasuku received hand-to-hand combat training, followed up with a rigorous training program when he joined the Star Army. He is skilled and experienced in combat both in Yamatai-like conditions and in zero-gravity, with and without weapons. He trained extensively with a power armor the he engineered on HX-12 and is quite adept at piloting it. Weapons he is trained in include energy and solid ammo pistols and rifles, knives, combat explosives, and power armor.

Tasuku is capable of operating any computer system that uses the Kessaku OS, found on all Star Army starships; as well as understanding the operation of common Nepleslian computer systems. He understands the operation of major Starship weapon systems, and their related firing controls. He is proficient in entering and/or searching for information, and engineering software systems. He understands the use of engineering design software, and can use it to effectively design new systems and components.

Tasuku received basic and mathematics training, to including algebra, trigonometry, statistics, Calculus, and spatial geometry.

Tasuku is familiar in the operation of many different classes of vehicles, including ATV's, motorcycles and airbikes, personal watercraft, trucks and cars, Fox class shuttles, and power armor. He picked up many of these skills in his later teens being an enthusiast of fast vehicles; though others like the Fox T4 and power armor he learn while in the Star Army.

Tasuku is familiar with most common starship systems such as weapons control, basic navigation, drive systems, and power systems. And is proficient at using (as well as repairing) such systems.

Tasuku knowledgeable about survival techniques, having studied them quite a bit before and during his SAoY service. and enjoys outdoor activities. He is proficient at locating or building shelter, and acquiring basic supplies from the environment.

Yarani Tasuku is currently a Ittô Hei in the Star Army of Yamatai. He receives a weekly salary of 100 KS per week.

This characters personality and appearance is based on relatives of the role player, and his name is a nod to Japanese animation director Kenichi Yarani(sometimes translated as Yatani).
