Mizuho was a NH-17R nekovalkyrja whom was relatively old, never really got to shine, lost several ship commands and grew to be tormented and cynical due to her apparent failures, despite her proficiency as a strategist and her expertise at large-scale fleet tactics and the Shosa rank she had earned herself. She made brief visits to many plotships including the Nozomi, the Destiny, the Mikomi, the Yggsdrasil and the Miharu but her character was unable to stick around and be involved for any extended time due to her player's lack of presence and repeated unfufilled promises that she would turn up and post - and never did.
Mizuho ultimately turned up being relatively useless on the Miharu that Kotori, the Miharu's CO, dismissed her from her service. Until proof of the contrary it is assumed that seeing Kotori used a samurai sword to decapitate Mizuho over one of the beaches on Hanako's World (as per a prior agreement both had). Mizuho is thus presumed dead (and missing a head).
