The J2-A3401 is a water proof synthetic polymer that feels more like human tissue than the EM-J2-A3400 Basic Skin Overlay. It is more flexible and allows for more subtle movements. Its purpose is to protect the interior of the EM-J2 Series from water and dust. It is available in a variety of colors to simulate normal human skin tones. The J2-A3401 provides a more realistic look with more details and flexibility.
The J2-A3401 has the soft sheen of healthy skin, only requires basic maintenance in the form of simple washing with gentle soap and water. The J2-A3401 has a property that helps with giving it a more human feel, it retains some of the ambient temp so that the android skin is not cold to the touch.
Punctures and tears in the J2-A3401 can be repaired by a tech with a tube of matching polymer and a curing tool. The android depending upon the location can also repair the skin with the appropriate tools.
