Originally the Neshaten operated under a Monarch but when their old empire crumbled and all that was left was a few thousand people, this governmental style fell apart and was then replaced by a Republic. However, the Republic also crumbled after only forty years, replaced again by a Monarch. When they resettled, the government was reformed as a Monarch once again, however, those who formed this government realized that they also needed a council of sorts to help run the Kingdom and also to help advise the King and Queen of any decisions they plan on making. Because of these worries, a council was created that helps to bring people together from the Executive, Legislative, and Military Branches of government. Each branch of government also has two people from each department run under the government, such as the Division of Agriculture, who serves in both the Executive and Legislative branches. This allows for a great deal of oversight despite there being an oversight committee.
The current King and Queen are as followed:
Queen
---
Vas'Sumera Yumena
King
Cras'Kirane Yumena
What's listed below is just a summery of the branches of government and council, for more indepth details, see the Neshaten Government Page.
The Council was set up to help advise the King and Queen on positions and matters of importance. The number of people who serves on the council depends on how many divisions of government there are, along with one person from the military, executive, and legislative branch.
The Executive branch is responsible for the general running of the Kingdom, they can approve or disapprove of any law that the legislative branch passes or can approve or disapprove of going to war. The King and Queen have the ultimate say in what laws are actually passed and whether the Kingdom goes to war.
The Legislative Branch creates the laws that the Kingdom operates under, they're the people to go to for recommending new laws to be put into effect or requesting details on currently active law.
Oversees the Volunteer Army, they make certain the military is operating as efficiency.
The Neshaten were originally a race that inhabited a very distant star system, with their technology progressing at a quick rate, this all ended when a Civil War between two parties suddenly erupted, throwing their once great and peaceful Empire into disarray, nearly leading to an extinction. Toward the end of the war, Neshaten launched several colony ships in hopes of restarting their people elsewhere, in a place far away from the war.
They found this place nearly seven hundred years ago, but suffered several critical setbacks including losing the two colony ships that possessed the majority of their technology, with all of their scientific knowledge erased they were forced to start from scratch. They settled on Nesha Prime, which serves as their capital world with the city of Netoshen as the capital.
The government is broken up into various divisions that each handles thier own seperate area, this helps divide the load so that no one division is overburdened. Each division, however, can potentially handle the work of another since all divisions have their headquarters in the capital.
The division of education handles all manner of education, from public, to military, and even privately run by companies. Anyone wanting to open up a school must get permissioned from the division of education. The reason private companies must go through the division of education, is to ensure that no one is discriminated against.

Their goal is to ensure that no exthreme harm comes to the enviroments of the worlds that they oversee, working alongside the Division of Agriculture, they also ensure that planets or areas used for growing food remain as enviromentally friendly as possible. The Division of E-M has a large responsibility, due to the Kingdoms stern commitment to ensuring that their worlds are not wasted or that pollutants from factories and businesses are kept at a minimum.

The Military Arm of the Kingdom of Neshaten
Comprising the bulk of the Kingdom, the Shukaren are a race of bipedal sentients that evolved naturally from a predatory animal on their world. They favor cold climates and forests, but tend to live where-ever they can find. The Shukaren are a mixture of purebreds and hybrids, or pure-fox's and human-fox hybrids.
The Myleke make up a good portion of the population, a four legged tiger-like race that was discovered by the Shukaren during the medieval periods of their time. The Myleke enjoy a symbiotic relationship with the Shukaren, a Rite of Honour that is so important that its required for their to be a Queen and a King. The Myleke serve several purposes within the Neshaten, but their primary focus is military service, while they are supported by the Shukaren.
