Internal Systems

Main Compartment

Stretching from the vehicles rear ramp to the commander's station it is the primary area which is taken up by the autoloading system of the 125mm coilgun, its ammunition, and it's power source. At the head of this area is the commander's station composed of a crash seat and several command and control screens, to his left is the gunner's station and the vehicle's forward hatch.

Driver's Compartment

The driver unlike to other two crew members sits in a reclined crash seat, forward of him is the primary view system for his position. A multispectrum optical sight with a wide view allowance. From his station he has direct access to the rest of the vehicle.

Systems

Weapons

  • DS-E-01 X-Ray Band Free Electron Laser
    • Installed in four autonomous targeting and firing modules located on each corner of the turret, they share these areas with the Active Defense System's targeting sensors. (ADR 1)
  • Two LCS2 Electromagnetic Coil Guns mounted on either side of the main turret, their elevation is independent of the main gun. Each weapon is fed from a 150 round magazine.
  • One HCS2 Electromagnetic Coil Gun mounted in a turret on top of the vehicle, 25 rounds are carried on board and the weapon is loaded via an autoloading system.

Armor

The AFV is built of a tungsten carbide reinforced Durandium Alloy frame to save weight, the armor is made up of nerimium laminated durandium plating with a lightweight ablative ceramic covering.

Electronics

  • Control Computer
    • Description: A general control unit for all of the APC's primary systems.
  • Optical Systems
    • Description: Several optical systems are mounted on the vehicle, all are multi spectrum types.
  • Communications Equipment
    • Description: The APC carries both inter-crew equipment (a wired link to their helmets) and a basic line of sight laser-type communications system. The primary platform however is a subspace communications system designed to integrate the APC into a battlenet.
  • VHF-VLF EM Radio system
    • Description: An EM type communications set capable of either Line-of-Sight or indirect transmissions. Its capable of encryption and has a range of twenty kilometers.

Defenses

  • Variable Voltage Hull Defense System
    • Description: Due to the insulting nature of the APC's ceramic outer hull a unique close protection system as been mounted, an electrical shock system designed to incapacitate or even carbonize enemy combatants on or near the APC via high amounts of loose electrical current.
  • Active Defense System
    • Description: A laser type short range interception system for use against missiles and large projectiles, they are mounted in the turret and are targeted via LIDAR and micropulse radar systems. They have an engagement distance of up to two kilometers and are capable of engaging and destroying multiple targets simultaneously.
    • Description: An internalized shield intended to protect the crew and the vital operation systems from a scalar type attack.
    • Description: An electrostatic energy shield projected a few inches off the APC's armor, capable of defeating most types of energy and projectile weapons…. for a time. Also acts as the primary conduit for the APC's VVHD system.
  • Hardened Polymer wheels
  • Hardened Polymer wheels
    • Built of a durandium alloy core wrapped in a slightly elastic hardened polymer case, provides a wheel capable of taking large volumes of fire without compromising mobility.

Power and Propulsion

Power is provided by one D-T cycle fusion batteries mounted in the hull just behind the turret, these power a high output turbo-electric turbine which in turn provides mechanical and electrical power to the vehicle.
