Wes is Star Army's creator and Website Administrator.
Wes is 30 and lives near Atlanta, GA. Like many SARPers he is a geek; he has worked in the IT field for over ten years and Wes has an INTJ personality type. Wes is also a military brat; his father is a captain in the US Navy and Wes is a US Army veteran; he served in the US Army Reserve from 2000 to 2007 and was deployed to Kuwait for a year during that time. There is a brick for him at the Walk of Heroes Veterans War Memorial in Conyers, GA.
Wes got married in 2009. A cake with the Star Army logo was present at the wedding.
Wes is a fan of science, science fiction, anime, sailing ships (and pirates), Lego, and role-playing games and is a secular humanist.
Some of Wes's favorite films and TV series include Star Trek (TOS, TNG, DS9, VOY), Patlabor 2, Nadesico, and Macross. His first roleplaying experience was with Robotech: The RPG by Palladium Books. Wes is also a collector of Lego Pirates.
After high school, Wes joined the US Army Reserve and attended the US Army Signal school in Fort Gordon, GA. Due to deployment by the Army and moving, Wes's college has been put on hold twice already, but Wes is currently enrolled in University taking online courses and working on his Bachelors in Information Technology. He is CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, and Project+ certified and also holds CIW Webmaster certifications.
Star Army is Wes's passion and he spends nearly all of his free time and a significant portion of his income contributing to Star Army in some form. Wes is responsible for several of the community's most important roles:
Wes is directly involved in all levels of the site. Although Wes has appointed co-administrators over the years, he has remained a driving force behind the community. Although Wes primarily works in the Yamataian and NMX factions, he has been known to create articles for other factions such as Nepleslian ground vehicles, kits, and rations.
Wes is focused on constantly improving Star Army and its sustainability. For this reason, Wes maintains a huge List of Projects to better the site and he actively works to make the site friendly and understandable to new players and to see that individuals with Game Master potential are put in places where they can develop.
Although Wes plays countless NPCs, he has a few main characters.
