Website (These rules apply to all areas of the website)

You agree not to:

1. attempt to gain unauthorized access to networks, computers, databases, or any information that is not made intentionally available through the website or its services.
2. copy any part of the website (including mirroring), or put StarArmy.com pages in framesets without our permission.
3. remote link to images (bandwidth theft).

Email ( http://st13.startlogic.com:8080/webmail/index.pl )

You may not:

1. use your stararmy.com email account for send or forward unsolicited bulk email or chain letters.
2. use your stararmy.com email account to harass other members.

Forums ( http://stararmy.com/forums and others )

1. Listen to administrators and  moderators. Do not un-do moderator changes if one edits something out of your post.
2. Do not pose as an administrator or moderator.
3. Do not cuss/swear, threaten, harass, or use derogatory racial terms in your posts;  The only time you are allowed to cuss is: In-character, in a JP or SP post as part of a character's speech, or in the Hot Tub, since it's all dirty there. Using spaces, numbers, other letters, or symbols (such as @, $ or !) in place of letters to form curse words or circumvent the filter is forbidden.
4. Do not discuss or post links to illegal software or substances.
5. Stay on topic with the post title and the forum the post is in.
6. Do not double-post. Edit your previous post instead.
7. Do not post thoughtless one-line posts. This is considered spamming. 
   
         Examples:
    
         a.    lol!
         b.    Whee!
         c.    That's cool.
    
8. Never describe the RP as being "dead." It isn't, and talk like that drives away the very people who give it life.
9. Do not drive away new people with "good old days" talk and whining. Doing so will result in being banned.
10. Do not use the website to solicit members, promote any product, services, or games of chance (lottery, contests, etc.)  The only exception is promoting websites in the advertising forum under the rules posted within the forum.
11. Decent spelling and grammar are a must. Don't bother posting a sentence if you can't be bothered to capitalize it or put a period at the end.
12. Do not in any way (reposting in instant messengers, showing on a computer screen, etc) show the Hot Tub's contents to anyone without an account authorized to view the Hot Tub forum.

Forum Avatars: 

1. Maximum allowed width is 120 pixels.
2. Maximum allowed height is 135 pixels.
3. Pornographic avatars are not permitted.

Forum Signatures: 

1. Forum signatures are disabled and there are no plans to enable them unless the board suddenly gets wildly popular.

Forum Usernames and Profile Settings:

1. Usernames should be 15 characters or less and "clean". They should not end in a number.
2. Only one account per person is authorized. Additional accounts will be deleted and the original may be banned.
3. You're allowed to change your username if you'd like. If you do, please post a message letting everyone know.
4. User locations should reflect either a player's real location (such as "Chesapeake, VA" or the location of one of their characters (such as "YSS Celia"). Locations that are sarcastic, esoteric, silly, nonsensical, etc, will be removed. The same goes for occupations.

Hosting

1. Do not share your FTP login and password with anyone. If you need a second for your friend to help work on your sub-site, he should ask for his own login and password.
2. Hosted sub-sites go under the StarArmy.com/m/ directory.
3. Do not use over 50 MB of StarArmy.com's storage space.
4. Excessive bandwidth consumption by your part of the site may force us to shut your part down.
5. You may not use your hosted site to promote any non-StarArmy product, service, or contest.
6. Don't use your hosted site to host illegal software, illegal substances, or racist stuff. Pornographic or other questionable items must be worked out on a case-by-case basis with StarArmy.com's webmaster.
7. StarArmy.com is not responsible for your data.
8. If we don't like something, we may immediately modify or delete it without notice.

StarChan ( http://stararmy.com/v-web/starchan or http://starchan.com )

1. Do not post images that are prohibited by law (secret documents, child pornography, etc.).
2. Don't post images that are likely to be found disturbing (gore, toilet, violence against women).
3. Don't post over 50 images at the same time.
4. We reserve the right to delete your images without notification when we see fit.
5. Don't post images which are primarily intended for advertising.
6. Don't post nudes/hentai in a StarChan forum not marked as 18+.
