I was in a writing mood tonight; the first in years, so I wrote up a little vignette concerning what is happening in the Thoot mothership during the Heartbreaker's escape with Sally, Yui and Edtoto. I recently found this guy named Pascal Eggert that creates artwork of futuristic style weapons and vehicles. The art is highly detailed and is 3d rendered. He is the director of visual design for Crytek so I don't know how practical it would be to get art from him even if he would be willing to do it. These are screenshots of a 3-D Yggdrasill made in GameStudio A5's WED. Not the newest program out there, as it can run on a P-II, but it's fun to play with. These are in PNG format, and combined the pictures are less than 500K. Note: SRSS-000 may not be the final designation number of the Yggdrasill.

Posted in the Sakura II's OOC board and people enjoyed it, so sharing it here! Most of these tracks are composed in Ableton with the Orchestral Strings pack among others. I tried composing a battle music track for the Sakura II's current fight. Can't say it really fit the direction I was going for, but I think it came out alright. It's a bit dark in the middle, like a large warship lurking towards you. Might need to try again, or try a different scene. It is quite recently made, having only been completed two weeks ago, and was my Required Roleplay Sample for a Sangheili Fleet Mistress of the same name I boast here! Well, I thought I would share some of my art, I don't really do art as in pencil or paint. Though sometimes I am creative in that area and try to do so, I am very basic at that. But my passion is more in the photos and I love making them as clean as possible. They would tag it as a Candid style of pictures where I explore the pureness of the real emotions of people, rather than have them fake it. I also love doing nature images. I just discovered Flash's drawing tools and with my tablet, I just rushed this up in under 60 seconds. Considering the same would take me 20 minutes in Illustrator, I am thuroughly impressed. Give it 20 minutes and I could probably clean this up into a nice diagram. Now, I thought this was interesting because there must be billions of little methods of creating good looking stuff. Tell me what's impressed you and what you've stuck with. Hopefully, we can learn from one another and discover some awesome CG techniques or apps. Anything from your technique with a dodge tool to custom brushes or tricks with a scanner or tablet!! :)

You guys have probably seen that I've been using the machine-learning based site Artbreeder.com lately, which is a site that uses trained algorithms to generate faces and other things, and you can adjust them and mix them and so on. Well, since the creations are all free to use, I've started putting together character art using them. At first I'd just use the faces but I want them to be more unique to Star Army so I've started adding backgrounds and SARP details. There's also a full-body character concept art generator and I've figured out ways to take the nice looking faces from the portrait section and combine them with the bodies from the fullbody section to make some really good looking fullbody character artworks. For those of you who do not know, I paint. Not on canvas, but in scale models. Like so. My primary specialization is tanks and tracked vehicles, but I can paint other stuff. Seems like I cant keep away from wanting to create stuff. So lets just give you guys a quick peek inside my oven. Some rough dimensions and info: The ship is roughly 45~50 meters in length and designed to kill the role of an armored transporter. She has 4 main engines in her center fuselage, 2 high powered thrusters in the front and a set of dual engines. The ZARC-T39 'ZARCNAM' A currently in-progress update to one of Star Army's older and more popular mercenary/independent weapons. The model/artwork itself is done, being based along the original linework.
