I am back..?!

It's whether ;]

WB! I hope you have fun here again. I would welcome you into any of my plots (check my signature) but they are all associated with factions, sadly. I wish you the best of luck!!

If I can avail to your concerns, I can assure you that the Star Army Roleplay has a much more forgiving barrier of entry than many other roleplaying communities out there.

I've had the misadventure of trying to join other roleplaying communities where any eagerness on my part had somehow been twisted into rudeness, so, I feel I can relate with you to a degree. However, as long as you remain willing to work with us, you'll usually see us quite willing to bend backwards to help a newcomer get settled in and help him grasp the implications of participating with our community.

So, don't sweat it. As long as your heart remains in the right place, we have no problem having you onboard.

Welcome back! :)

Thanks :), this message makes me feel much better.

While reading some forums I saw the length, complexity and writing skills required for a smooth story. I don't know whether or not I have the right skills to play..

I don't know, you made a pretty nice-length post in here! Welcome back, I'm a new person in actuality myself and I started out just near the end of December. When I first joined Ame's Kaiyo plot I was really bad at doing things in depth, too, but it's really started to grow on me! You just got to give it a chance I guess, and see how it rolls!

(lol) Thanks for the advice :)

Hey, @Wes .. How would creating my own storyline work out..? Oh, and also would I get "member experience" by playing alone in a monitored area or do I have to play in the large storylines? Is it even considered an official part of the universe if I play all alone.. could I lets say.. run into other plots or areas in the universe.. or add to the content of the universe (with planning and permission before-hand)..? Or do you highly recommend that I play with others..?

Well it's recommended to play with other people. But if you really wanted your own sort of mini empire I'd suggest asking @LittleWasp for some tips-her I'ee mini-faction had quite a bit of stuff happen recently which was pretty cool to get involved with!

I recommend playing in small groups with other people so you won't get bored. Other people are somewhat unpredictable and the element of surprise helps keep RP entertaining. But yes, you can write your own storylines, start your own RP threads (open or private) and generally do things and as long as there's no reason for me to object (e.g. destroying other people's creations without permission, like blowing up one of my planets) then they can be approved as canon.

One thing I recommend avoiding is trying to be a one-man nation - it's better for the site as a whole if you can work with other people and support one or more of the factions that already exist. Also right now we have so many playable factions that we're kind of overextended so there's a freeze on them that will start at the end of the month.

I do not plan to create a huge force, I am more focused on creating content like planets.. (through discovery) Maybe I will invite friends to play along or the people I meet on this site.. Idk yet.. I don't really know what to do about my faction.. maybe my character can agree with the politics of a faction(s) but technically not be a member..?? Any further advice? Thanks for your response :)

I would try your hand at full integration. Your history suggests things didn't go well the first time around when you tried to make your own go of it.

Maybe join a plot of Zack's faction; the rules are more loose there.
