JDTS Stiletto: Briefing room

And like that the battle was over. The remaining escorts had began tailing the remaining ships, and the Stiletto had docked with the Kaguya and both teams were working around the clock to repair the ship. The Stiletto's fabrication bays were pumping out new parts as quickly as they possibly could. The two ships were a flurry of activity, and most of the crew had not received a break. Most people having to take part in the repairs. Finally after several hours of work, the first bridge crew was finally allowed to take a break.

But before they were allowed to rest, both the bridge crew and the Aikiko's Spec Ops team had been summoned by the Vice Admiral.

The briefing room reminded people of a large class room. A podem with the ships crest stood infront of several rows of chairs. Behind the podium, on the wall, the video screen displayed a 3D model of the ship's crest, slowly spinning in place.

Conrad stood off to one side, speaking to Captain Nagase of the Kaguya. The Jiyuuian women was considerably shorter than Conrad by at least a foot or two. Conrad nodded to the woman as several people began to enter and she saluted, taking a seat in one of the side chairs next to the podium. Conrad moved to the podium and bellowed, "Take your seats! The quicker we debrief, the quicker you boys and girls can get some shut eye." He said as people began to pile into the room.

Aagh, the Chief Petty Officer inwardly groaned as the orders for the bridge crew to go to a debrief. Come on, its been a really long day. Can’t we do this tomorrow? But of course they couldn’t, Admiral’s orders, and so he joined the rest of the bridge once his replacement showed up. “Don’t break anything,” he said to the wet behind the ears Lieutenant, too tired to bother seeing the angry look he got from the young officer.

We better get some sleep after this, Matthew thought as he walked into the briefing room, taking his seat in the back, taking the break to rub his natural eye. Pouring over thousands of potentially corrupted lines of code sucks, so much. He sobered a little as he thought about all the people who had died, but shook his head. Can’t do too much about it now except pour one out for them later.

Aikiko slipped in, wearing her skin suit, side arm and data jockey in hand. She nodded tyo those present as she moved gracefully to her spot amongst the others. She nodded to Kaguya Captain after meeting with her briefly during the final mop-up when they stormed the bridge looking for any intruders that managed to slip by the defenders in the chaos of battle in repelling boarders.

Her Team Leaders clumped in noisily behind her, glaring at anyone who would dare to look at their petite Neko Leader in what they would perceive wrongly. She motioned them to a seat as she took hers with a sigh of getting off her feet. She quickly shared a flask that one of her Team Leaders had produced and passed around. She took a drink of the energy drink and capped it. Returned it to the owner with a grateful nod and soft smile.

She turned her attention to the Admiral and the Senior Officer of the Kaguya.

Jasper was already sitting among a very small group of the staff. Unlike others, the communications officer and diplomatic envoy for the Stiletto needed to be at his best and peak at all times. Even if that meant being the first seated when their hunky commanding officer called for it. Wielding a data tablet on his hands, Jasper looked around as the other officers began pouring in. It was at least going to be a fun and possibly not-hostile thing since the Neko had somehow done well in convincing the jarheads that she was a worthy ally. But focusing on Aikiko or tossing a look over at Matthew wasn't his job, instead opting to look over at Conrad and make a relevant addition that could help them get started.

"It looks like everyone is here, sir. We're definitely great to start, at your leisure."
