RP: YSS Eucharis [Mission 28.1] Kuvexian Invasion - Preparations (YE 40)

YSS Eucharis
Med Lab

William was in his office sorting through the assignments for their coming deployment. When the red winged Elysian entered, he looked up in time to hear her affectionately greet the empty Medlab. He had a good guess as to who this was, although he had not met her yet. He strode out of his office and approached her. "Welcome back aboard." He said with a broad smile. "I'm Will, the new CMO of the Eucharis." He introduced himself.

A quick and curt salute to each of the new arrivals was given by the XO along with an order, "Happy to have you aboard, Sagarai-hei and Smith-hei. Please find your duty stations at the helm and weapons, respectively."

Hanako, likely the most formidable and capable pilot in the 1XF, and the Nitô Hei shuttle pilot next to her made an unlikely juxtaposition on the bridge of the most fearsome gunship of the Star Army of Yamatai. Majime herself had more experience on weapons than the Santô Hei nearby, but that didn't deter Majime from stating her confidence in the two in an even tone.

"I have been informed that you both have the ability and prowess necessary to right the wrongs that our enemies think they can impose on us," she told them as she looked between the two starship operators with light blue eyes. "I look forward to seeing so for myself."

Cargo Bay

"It will be installed," With her blue eyes down and a quick tap of her datapad, she added, "at this time. Should be on by the time you're in the power armor bay." She looked up to her to continue speaking after a small inhale, "The rest of your loadout is up to you and your squad leader, Kanoe-hei." Stella made a reply to Fuyu's nod with a small wave goodbye with her hand. Her expression softened for a small moment before she exhaled, looking away from the scientist and to the rest of the ship, moving on quickly to the next task with a stern-set expression.

Taharial didn't really notice the higher up while she wrote down other information, she stretched and looked around as she noticed the man and their rank, she quickly got up and saluted the higher up. "sorry Sir, I was sorting out my notes" she smiles kindly to the CMO and she looks around "I have been the main day shift medic on here a few times, so I didn't think there was anyone was here..." She had read the new crew roster but didn't really look at what everyone did, as she just needed the medical records of the crew, there wasn't that much else she needed to know for some of the crew as she had already worked with them.

She smiles as she puts her notebook away as she looks around "There are only two places you will find me, either in here working on people or my own personal projects the other place is on missions as the field medic." She chuckles as she puts the scalpel away as she gulps and looks at the desk "Um I normally never leave here so if I am asleep or something just nudge me awake Sir."

SETSUYA
She was happy to have the creature off her, as it was making things uncomfortable. As it did it's ordered tasks, she watched in interest until Wazu toppled. "Maybe fewer weapons, or having them spread out would be a useful note.", Setsuya said as she stepped over to assist the man up.

KAI
"Hai, thank you ma'am.", Kai said before taking his seat at the helm. He looked over the various displays. A number of readouts, statuses, and gauges displayed which provided vital data for him as pilot. Everything looked good so far, the ship truely was an amazing piece of engineering.

Will nodded, he liked Taharial. She was making a good impression. "You can relax, we don't have any emergencies at the moment. I can appreciate dedication to the job. What sort of personal projects do you have?" He asked with a chuckle.

The red nekovalkyrja was hunched over the contents of her locker when a shorter black-haired soldier came barrelling in, apparently in advance of any of the other crew members. Why was this person so-?... Yoshida Kokoro, the register said. Nito Heisho Yoshida Kokoro.

Tsuguka straightened up to meet the feyish thing of similar rank, though ending up standing head and shoulders over the pale, youthful and lithe soldier. Her own crimson skin bulged with musculature as they straightened up and filled out the form of their pilot suit, zipping up the front before making a rigid return bow.

"Huh. Triangles..." A sort of grunt, green eyes beaming out from their dark and brooding features. The voice was distinctly empty of emotion, and the expression regarded them more like a newfangled piece of equipment. "Well, you certainly seem to have the reflexes., but.."

A pause. A hand moved by itself and poked one of the blue triangles on Kokoro's cheek.

It made the oni smile, bending her own manufacturer-given facial shapes, but the fangs made it less of a comforting experience.

"I am Itto Heisho Tsuguka Toyoe. Actually, I only just got the promotion message..." Hands back onto thighs. A small change in tone, higher pitched and bemused, but missing the mark just enough to make it sound off. Like somebody who was simply copying others to make them believe you were human. "...Well... Regardless, if you are the other Heisho that our Shosho chose to appoint, I suspect you are still comfortable with a leadership role? The team generally needs two heads anyway, in my experience."

Internally, the new girl was probably better off not knowing that Tsuguka wanted to hug her so hard that her head popped off. They were cute, and her old flame Taharial was back on board, and they had just been promoted, and... yeah. Last time the crimson lynx felt like this, they made cat noises and fished an alien tuna out of the sea with their teeth.

Today was kinda turning out to be okay!

Wazu would stop playing with his datapad for a moment, reaching out to let Setsuya lift him back up to standing. The heavy bulk of his armor requiring a bit of effort from her to right.

"Thank you," He said, turning his attention back to the datapad. His fingers would group select a bunch of the items in the list and drop them from the armor's inventory, causing them to slowly float down through the goo until they were deposited on the floor.

A few more button presses and the goo would plop back down into a ball, puddled up around Wazu's legs.... before picking up the items again to transfer them back to the box.

"Like any new thing it will take some fine tuning. I do not normally do power armor."

Yoshida blinked as her cheek was oh so casually poked, her whole body swaying slightly with the motion, as if she were a punching bag shifting back into position. "Huh you have em too." Yoshida muttered but, a little quieter than her earlier entheusiastic self introduction. That smile that the red neko gave certainly looked more like she was sizing up her next meal more than a comrade in arms. Yoshida quickly changed her stance to hide her hands and data pad behind her back as her tail nervously swished behind her, clearly visible. While the black cat wasn't too good at reading others, even she was somewhat put off by the.. fake seeming changes in the one before her.

"Um! Yes. Leading! That is a thing that I am uh, comftorable with. I hope we will uh, beable to find the path to victory together!" Yoshida didn't even convince herself with that. Oh well. Even so she dared to cover up her own nervousness with her best smile, and bravely puffing out her chest. Though Tsuguka intimidated her, and was thus far one of the very few she had ever met on or off the battlefield that did so, that was no excuse to not try her best to make friends!

"Its uh, nice ta meet you Tsuguka!"

The return salute was curt and professional. "Hai. I am excited to serve the Army properly now." Smith's attitude was notably more composed than how she had started to act at the Hanami Festival - and as the Elysian sat down in her chair securely, her blanketlike flight-limbs shifted about distractingly.

Fuyu made her way through the halls after the short encounter with the engineer, pulling up her datapad and opening the loadout interfce for her Mindy, humming under her breath. She didn't have the sufficient rights to have the Leader Support Pack in her list of options, so she defaulted to leaving her dorsal open and leaving a note in the file. Making up her loadout without one. The people at Engineering, certainly with Glass-hei informing her of the executive command, would know just why her Dorsal was left open. They'd fill in the blanks.

Finishing the costumizaton and sending the file down the wire, sure that the right people would get her things, Fuyu lowered her datapad, before tucking it back under her arm. Her feet had carried her to the PA bay as she worked. The door slid open for her and she walked in. To see a rather impressive Nekovalkyrja poking the cheeks of a smaller one. A curious tilt of her head caused the silvery blonde hair that was stiffened with gels and spray to bob with the movement. "Tsuguka-heisho, I presume?" She questioned. The slender neko held up her datapad, before pressing it against her chest. Both hands folding around it after tossing the scanner in the pockets of her lab coat. "Santo-hei Kanoe," she explained herself. "I recieved your message. Thank you for the welcome."

Taharial looked at the superior officer and chuckles "No it is more I feel most comfortable in here and my work does make me zone out a lot of the time so I never really leave this room unless I am needed somewhere." She giggles and she looks at her notes "Well it is all just really seeing if we can use the body in here" she looks around but couldn't see the body "Oh great guess I will have to find something else, unless you know what happened to the NMX body that was stored in here?"

If you are looking for somewhere to be, it may be prudent to make a tour of the ship to make sure all the new crew members are preparing for combat or at least getting familiar with each other. Teamwork will be important in the battle," Hanako told Majime.

"Welcome aboard, Smith. Are you ready for your first real ship combat?" she asked.

"Sagara-hei, welcome aboard. The ship is ready to move and we are waiting on everyone to board," Hanako said, slowly strolling around the bridge checking surfaces for dust with two of her fingers. "I am very pleased to have an experienced helmsman for this mission. How long have you been in the Star Army? Did you have an opportunities to pilot the Sakishima in battle?" she asked.

"Hai, Shôshô, that is of paramount importance," the XO said in an uplifting way. "Charisma?" Majime added in a lilting tone. When the MEGAM responded, she went on, "I leave the sensors station in your capable hands." She was standing by now and walking to the stern of the ship, to the bridge doors. "Shôshô, Nitô Hei, Santô Hei," her voice said in goodbye as she bowed at the door, facing the prow of the Plumeria. Soon, she had turned and was off of the bridge.

After a quick walk-through of cabins, she made her way to the medical lab. "Will you two be joining the away team in the power armor bay? I would like to see a medic with the team that will be going off of the ship."

YSS Eucharis - Power Armor bay

Matsuvo had made his way to the Power Armor bay after boarding the Eucharis, and was inspecting his armor. He had recently made some changes to the loadout, and was pleased that the technicians who had made the alterations had been able to accommodate his more... unusual request. Hopefully with this new loadout, he would be able to both take and dish out more punishment than ever.

The stakes were far higher now that he was on the Eucharis. People would be depending on him during missions of critical importance, and if he screwed up, it didn't just mean a single ship and its infantry would be in trouble, like it would have back on the Kaiyo. If he failed here, he'd potentially be putting even more lives at risk.

Nodding solidly, Arria Smith responded to the gold-eyed admiral: "Hai. I am as ready as I will ever be without experiencing it myself. They will quickly learn that a fresh face is not to be underestimated." As her digits explored the console before her, Arria used her eyes and mind to check and re-check what the Eucharis[/i] used for its weaponry. The extra cannons were going to take a bit of getting used to - simulators only allowed for participants to """fly""" regular Plumerias. I'll manage. I remember hearing about another Elysian who could handle things like this... If she can do it, I can do it too, she thought to herself.

Taharial Smiled at the XO as she salutes and nods "Yes I will be there soon, My armour should be there for me to slide in." She heads to the door and nods at Will "If you want, I can do this mission and allow you to do your own jobs, Sir" with this, she leaves the Med Lab and heads towards power armour bay.

Once she reaches the bay she realized how nervous she was meeting the crew again as she lets her wings rest against her body as she walks down the side of the bay so she can check her armour. As she tied up her hair into a bun for her mission, as she then turned to see everyone she got nervous again and froze in place not knowing what to do or say in this situation as she saw people that she knew and others she didn't.

Majime saluted a goodbye to the winged medic, then looked at the Shoi Kohosei and asked a quick question.

"Cadet, what would you wish to do with yourself during this mission?"

Wazu would nod, "Well, hopefully I should not need to carry any weapons. But edge cases happen." He would take a look over at Tugs, wondering just how she would lay out the armor team, or even if he should be somewhere else right now. Perhaps Hanako would be the best to ask.

He would type up a quick test message,

Hanako,

Would you prefer I assist form the bridge? Or work with the armor team?

- Wazu

Tsuguka took a moment to roll over the smaller woman’s reactions, literally gauging Yoshida’s physical status and tone of voice in order to categorise their personality for later. It was only when more people forced their hand that the red neko moved again, breaking their concentration and causing them to put a ‘comforting’ hand on the other Heisho’s shoulder in earnest.

“There are… enough of us for two teams of four at least, so it’s only natural to burden you with such a role. Apologies if that is not what you were expecting, Nito Heisho…” A shrug. “Nothing to worry about, though. I’m sure we will see your inner tiger soon enough… Just… Tell me if you need help getting there, okay?”

Pep talk was cut short. She didn’t want to belittle the neko whilst other people were beginning to approach.

The first person was a new scientist; Somebody white haired and ironically more buff than Yoshida. Presumably this ‘Santo Hei Kanoe’ person, seeing as Tsuguka had just gotten a new message about a mindy module authorisation.

“Greetings. And thanks for coming promptly.” A curt nod. “So, a leader support pack? Is that your preferred role? Having someone to provide direct sensory reports and in-field technical expertise is something that we have done in the past… but if you do have a preference for combat, I should warn you that the added mental strain of such a constant data stream can be quite burdensome.”

Matsuvo also received an visual examination, and then a respectful nod during all this. Tsuguka mentally noted that the fellow would make a good spearhead with that much ordinance attached to them. Power armour battles frequently can and did devolve into point blank artillery brawls, so even if it did look like something out of a super robot anime, she could respect the loadout’s intention.

-“Erm… Mister Matsuvo Shinomori, is it? Your load-out looks fine, just do me a favour…”- A telepathic message was shot across. –“If you need to drop a gun, please break it first. I don’t like the idea of the Kuvies reverse engineering our equipment.”

…And then, just as Tsuguka was getting into the minutia of managing a team again, two of her relationship interests walked in simultaneously.

“…Mister Wazu. You’ll be our other technical support member most likely.” A poker face perfect in every way, nodding at him with her dark lupine features. “Just make sure you take enough defensive measures.”

Then, Taharial. A real angel from the red oni’s past. The kind of person who knew things she never told anyone else. Just suddenly here again, out of the aether…

“Nito Hei Chasan!” The nekovalkryja put a hand on both their shoulders. Arms out at full length, the perfect length to deploy a more genuine smile, and examine what they were missing in full detail. “You are looking good! I heard you were back on board. Did somebody really send you down to join the PA team?”

PA BAY

Taharial smiled at the red woman who she had shared some of her life with as she rushed into a hug "Oh I have missed being on this ship." As she realized what she did pulled away and smiled kindly with a salute "Um sorry about that, well um yea they wanted a medic to be with the team and I volunteered to be it." She giggled as she looked around at everyone feeling more confident with Tsuguka near her "Hello all, well I guess you have me as your Medic, please make sure to come to me if your injured or call me to come to you, we don't want a repeat
of what happened with the crystal creatures, do we Tsuguka?" She turned to the red woman with a stern expression that she hasn't used a long time.
