So, I grunge around on the internet, doing various different projects all the time. Doing such projects, leads me to seek out tools that will make this process easier and easier. Work smart, not hard.

So my latest taste is nanowrimo, and boy is writing a story on Google Docs a pain in the rear! I'm pretty far in so far, having been pounding down on this project for the last few days. The benefit of working nights and only 4 nights a week am I right? Problem is, GDocs is starting to lag. I'm also finding I am losing track of things that are happening as my story gets bigger and bigger, and scrolling through it all, even with the basic outline system in place is difficult. So a friend pointed me to a program called YWriter.

What does this have to do with Game Masters? Well, Game masters write stories, yeah? They just outsource the main characters to other people. The amount of things a GM needs to keep track of is insane! Characters, places, plotpoints, important scenes, how the rogue looked at that dwarf funny three sessions ago and you want to do something with it!

YWriter deals with all of that. It even keeps track of special items you may have in your plot! Best of all, it's free!

Check it out! Tell me what you think too. I know I'll be using it for my plot!
