Adopting a WIP Faction

I'm looking at a faction WIP that is extremely similar to an idea that I had. Are faction adoptions a thing and is the protocol similar to adopting characters?
 
AFAIK, faction adoptions exist. I did this with the Baroka (albeit, they were flagged for deletion and aren't intended to be more than an NPC/minor faction). I think it may be best to ask here and see if anyone has issues, along with more formally show your intentions while asking Wes.

It's better to grab old factions rather than make new ones, after all.

Edit: I think a Faction WIP could be, but it likely follows similar rules such as ensuring the content was ALLOWED to be adopted.
 
I don't see why not. Perferably we'd get an okay from the original creator.

By the way, Weremole is having an art sale so it may be our chance to get art for this species.
 
@Primitive Polygon Any updates on Scarlet? If we can't get them I will just wait the appropriate amount of time, or just work on a species of my own. Mine would be NPC whereas I think this was supposed to be a PC race.
 
Just dropped them a line. TBH they've changed their username since the last time we talked, and it took me a while to find them...

Sorry for the double post, but I just got a message back. A direct quote; "I would say no as I am planning to come back in a couple of weeks when work has calmed down".
