Misato had spent the whole night writing and rewriting the report on what happened. First one was a complete fabrication, but threw herself under a tank, the next was the truth and it through Freyja under. She raked her brain all night trying to come up with one that would keep everyone out of trouble, but told the closest thing to the truth. Finally she just gave up and put on her best uniform and went to find Chiasa.

Chiasa sat at her desk contemplating the coming day. She was reviewing her latest attempt at sleeping. She was confident that the subroutine she developed was a fairly good approximation of sleep. At least good enough if she were to spend the night with someone. After the review she started a review of the ship's sensor systems. She wanted to ensure that they were operating well within normal parameters. While doing that she briefly replayed her discussion with Elina. She was curious what Misato was going to say in her report.

After moving through the ship, Misato arrived at the Nitô Juni's cabin. After taking a deep breath she chimed.

When she heard the door chime, she signaled for the door to open. "Come in please." she called out as she turned to face the entrance. She relaxed her facial muscles to present a neutral expression.

Nervously, as if in combat, Misato entered and then bowed. She stood there silently at attention. She gave it a moment before she spoke up. "I'm here to give a briefing on the situation. I attempted to write a report, but after a few attempts they were found wanting."

Chiasa took careful note of the soldier's physical presence. She returned the bow with one appropriate for her station. "Kindly take a seat. A verbal report will be more that sufficient." she replied and brought her hands together on the desk as she waited.

Taking the proffered seat, Misato still sat up right as if still at attention. "Ma'am it began when Freyja was told to take me to the mess hall for food, by the Chief Medical Officer. We stopped at my cabin so I could put something on other then the medical gown I had. As I was dressing I took notice that the Hei did not have a side arm on her person, so I gave her a personal one I have. Informing her to always keep one on her person." Misato paused to lick her lips.

"It was then I asked her where her issued piece was. And was informed it was in a purse she believed she had left at a club. so forgoing the food, I had her take me to the the club which was closing, After talking to a manager we were able to watch the security cameras, after finding out that none of the staff had found the purse."

She continued, "We watched the feeds and found a individual who had retrieved the purse, and what I could at the time only assume, the pistol. It was then Freyja was able to identify that it was a person she had been hanging out with before. Apparently person flashed a SAINT Identification, and had taken the purse. Speaking to the Hei I found that she knew where the individual was located and had her take me there. At no time did Santô Hei Freyja inform me of the name of the individual. Just that they thought it was a SAINT personnel. So she took us to a hotel and she picked the lock. I drew my firearm believing that there possibly could have been a fake SAINT operative, The Hei followed suit." She paused and took a breath before she finished the tale.

"When Miss Elina spoke I recognized her voice, and lowered my fire arm and asked for the purse. That is when you showed up, Ma'am." She finished realizing how much of this could have been solved if she had asked a few more questions. "The Hei, Ma'am Was under my charge... I deserve any disciplinary actions, past her misplacement of her side arm."

Chiasa separated her hands and leaned forward. She was curious about the Identification that Elina had produced, but that was a discussion for another time. "I see, let me make sure that I fully understand the series of events. The Hei failed to maintain proper possession of her issued weapon. Second she attested to the fact that the person she met presented her with a SAINT identification. By the way just how likely is a person to present a fake SAINT ID to a Soldier? For that matter how likely is a person to present a SAINT ID to anyone. So on the word of Freyja Hei, you then broke into a civilian's quarters at gun point. And from what I saw, Elina made no attempt to refused to turn over the purse. In fact it would be more plausible that she picked it up with the intent to return it to Freyja. That being said, I can only presume that your motive was sincere in that you were trying to help Freyja to retrieve her weapon. But your judgment on how to proceed left much to be desired. It is fortunate that Ms Elina did not wish to press criminal charges." She paused to see if Misato wished to add anything to her 'briefing'.

Msiato cringed as the situation was restated before her. she realized how bady she had screwed up. Her mouth opened as if she was about to say something but knew there wasn't anything else she could add to make it any better. She closed her mouth and stood awaiting judgment.

"Since as I stated Ms Elina is not wanting to press charges. The weapon was retrieved. I am inclined to consider the matter closed. I trust that in the future, you will use better judgment before you take action. As long as there are no repeats of such conduct, I see no reason to report the matter to the CO. However, should such another lapse occur and I learn of it. Well... I think you can figure out what would happen then. I also trust you will brief Freyja on maintaining proper cognizance of her weapon's location." she said after Misato remained silent. "Are we clear on this?"

"Yes Ma'am." She felt a cold breeze of relief blow through here, but fought not to show it. This could have put here into the slammer. "I'll make sure The Hei is fully briefed on the proper ways." She paused and thought for a moment. "I will also strive to have better judgment on situations like this."

"Very well, then you are dismissed. Have a good day." she said while engaging what she called smile # 2.

Misato decided smile #2 was terrifying creep, so she bowed and got out of there quickly. She had never heard a situation where an AI ate a flesh being, but she got the distinct impression from that smile, it was possible.

Chiasa watched as Misato beat a hasty exit from her cabin. She was pleased with how the situation played out, and was certain that the soldier would be better for it.
