Bronzi sauntered back into the med bay. More out of a desire to get more medical supplies in an effort to doctor up his wound. He milled about taking care not to destroy the med bay. And did his best not to make so much noise as to disturb the patients in the hemo synth tubes.

He paused feeling eyes settle on him. Bronzi did a 180 and began pulling the blood soaked wadding out of his wound. Time to let it air out. Bronzi sat down in the bed across from The hemp synth tube. He waved a gloved hand and "Hi."

Natsumi had been asleep when Bronzi had entered the medical bay. She had finally drifted off to an uncomfortable and fitful sleep. Her eyes snapped open with a start as she had been reliving the events down on the metal world, her eyes opening just at the moment she had been shot. She saw movement through the murky hemosynth and, just for a moment, feared someone was coming after her. But then recognized the shape of the gartagan guest. Her wireless link to the ship allowed he to hear his greeting in her mind as he turned and spoke to her.

The snowy haired neko waved, slowy, sheepishly back in response.

Bronzi's tail curled as she waved at him. He didn't actually know what to say. What she had endured had been exhausting. The treatment he had received from some of the crew on Eucharis had been less than enjoyable. Bronzi had intended to just doctor his wound up and move in. He soon got to work cleaning the hole in his abdomin. "So uhh. How are ya. Am I bothering ya?"

Freyja stood in the doorway for a few minutes, watching Bronzi and Natsumi. Her tail moved nervously from side to side. It thumped the frame of the door and she reluctantly entered the room. "Do you mind if I come in, Natsumi-Taii?" She asked quietly. Her eyes were wet with tears, and her ears were flat against her head.

Natsumi shook her her head in response to Bronzi's question. She really could not be bothered by someone coming in to use the medical facilities. There were others who had been wounded and she could not deny them access to treatment just because she was not having a good time.

'Feel terrible" was what she said in response to the first half of his question. Her wireless link allowing her to project her voice through a speaker outside the tank, rather than having to try and talk while submerged.

Then the door hissed open and Freyja entered. Freeyja had been the one to begin the killing, maybe even the one who had shot her, though Natsumi did not know that yet, not until she fully reviewed her Mindy's camera records and sensor logs would she know for sure who's shots had struck her. She felt a momentary and alarming pang of simultaneous anger and fear course through her system at the sight of Freyja there, a few feet away.

"What do you want?" her tone was guarded, weary, as she spoke through the speaker.

Bronzi smiled at Natsumi's response to him. Of course he knew she felt terrible. But at least she was feeling well enough to speak to him. Bronzi soon stopped trying to mend his wound opting to wait for the medic to come to her station. She had given the directive to report to her for treatment. Thinking on it, he may not have intended for it, but here he was.

He opened his mouth to speak "Ya I bet. I just wanted ta----" The medbay door hissed open.

Freyja stood. But Natsumi spoke first. Bronzi leered at Freyja and pointed to the speaker. "Wat she said."

Tan Ann Pan made her way inside, skirting past those near the door more as if they were inanimate obstacles in her path than members of her crew she could speak to. Her first desination was the hemosynth tanks, and the first task she gave herself was to check on how Victory's recovery was proceeding. Natsumi was next, by some logic the patient in the second-most severe state. Though they were all off the map as far as triage procedure went. Despite the captain's words, Tan Ann Pan felt she had no authority over patients she hadn't been ordered to treat, until they gave it to her.

No intervention was necessary. It appeared the first officer still had some shrapnel embedded in her that the tank was not equipped to remove, but it wasn't going to stop her recovery, and removing it would do more harm than good. Tan might well have left it in, if she'd been able to treat Natsumi, but she likely would have instructed the tank not to regenerate nearby tissues or encapsulate the foreign material until Natsumi was stable enough to receive surgery. It did not matter, it could be removed and the damage from that repaired when more downtime was available.

She didn't have much to say, and preferred to say nothing as she turned away from the tank. Before she could speak to her next patient, Tan still forced herself, with her back to Natsumi. "You'll be out in a few minutes, as soon as muscle repairs are complete."

Mission accomplished, Tan Ann Pan looked to size up the wound on her first Gartagen trauma patient, building a map with her sensory augmentations. Perhaps she wasn't the most friendly doctor around, or perhaps it just wasn't a good day.

She'd paid no attention to Freyja yet, since arriving, though she had completed the infantry Hei's treatment for the burns on her back before they'd left the armour bay, earlier.

Freyja's heart broke again when she heard Natsumi's tone. It wasn't as extreme of a reaction as she feared, but it still hurt. She started forward and nearly bumped into the medic. Instead of replying immediately she waited for Tan to finish before moving closer. She didn't feel like she owed the Gartagen, a person she barely even knew, any explanation. It was silly but she felt like he was intruding on something extremely personal. She sighed and walked towards the tank slowly.

"Mr. Bronzi, I came to check on Natsumi. And to beg for her forgiveness." Freyja said, wiping a tear from her eye. "I would rather speak to her alone but I know that might make her uncomfortable so you can stay."

She stopped a few feet from the tank, knelt down and prostrated herself in front of Natsumi. "Forgive me, Taii. I was the one that fired on the Rixxikor. You will have an opportunity to spank or lash me if you wish. I will never disobey an order again."

Bronzi raised a brow at Freyja. Then looked down at his own wound. Bronzi was getting tired of the condescending tones he had been hearing. They didn't like outsiders but truth be told he found the intrusion and request to be some what rude.

"I got hurt coverin that retreat." Bronzi said pointing to his injury.

"Thanks Pan-San" he said to the medic as she got to work on his injury.

"But ya. I was checkin on her. She'd prolly do da same fer me. I'd not stop her."

Bronzi looked to Natsumi. "Well I'll leave if ya want." He said with a snort.

Tan Ann Pan's eyes were briefly visible through the lenses of her glasses while she took a look up close. She glanced upward at Bronzi. "You've been picking at this for a while, haven't you? I haven't had time to do much reading, so I'm going to play it safe, here."

She fetched her crash kit, retrieved a clunky, old model can of 'dumb' hemostatic bandage spray, and gave it a shake. "Unlike the new goo, you should feel a bit more than a tingle. I'm sure you can handle it. Please try to stay still."

She delivered a few squirts of the can into the wound, quickly changing its look from raw, oozing flesh to something more like a uniformly maroon-coloured scab. Though lip-biting and eye-watering would be common reactions to burning sensation of this treatment, Bronzi had been very casual about it, so far.

Natsumi looked at Freyja through the haze of the hemosynth that she floated in. She almost did not hear what the others were saying, just what Freyja had said. The rest was sort of tuned out. Tan Ann pan saying she was getting set free from the tank soon, Bronzi offering to go, just seemed unimportant for that moment.

"Spank or lash you?" Natsumi replied through the tank's speaker. What kind of punishment was Freyja expecting Natsumi to deliver out upon her?

Freyja's tail twitched nervously. She looked up at Natsumi from the floor. "Hanako-Shosho ordered it, Taii. You don't have to, but if you wish to punish me it's allowed." She said, sniffling. Her eyes were red from crying.

"I will never disobey an order again. I swear it, Natsumi-Taii! And I will find a way to earn your trust again." Freyja said. She climbed up off of the floor and saluted. "To start, I will be doing your laundry from now on if you will let me. Anything you need before you recover, ma'am, just call me and I will get it for you."

Her posture changed completely. She stood straight, ears pointing towards the ceiling. "You will see. I can be a good soldier." The Neko sat down on one of the beds. "I'm not leaving the room until you get out of the tank."

Natsumi watched the display before her, through the haze of hemosynth and her current state of mind, it was surreal.

"We'll figure all that our later" Natsumi replied, tiredly, the weight of the days events had sapped every bit of energy from her. "After I'm out of this thing" she added, with a momentary glance at the doc, before her gaze returned to Freyja.

"Nito Hei Freyja Yuuki, you made a mistake that cost lives." she said. "A lot of mistakes were made on this mission, by quite a few people. I want you to learn from your mistakes and become better, not beat yourself up. You need to be better and you can be if you learn from what went wrong and adapt to ensure it doesn't happen again" she said and settled a bit in her tank. She was beyond ready to be out of the thick liquid.
