EM-G24 'Heian' Kodian War Suit - Loyalist Print
With the Civil War underway on the planet of Gashmere, both sides of the political mess sought methods to carry out their conflict without the costs or destruction wrought by technology sold from companies within Yamatai. However, with a lack of time to outsource, both sides of the war defaulted to asking and paying Emrys Industries with the hope that the corporation would have an answer. Thanks to the oversight of its parent-company (Tamahagane Corporation), Emrys was able to produce something that was morally acceptable to sell due to the nature of the conflict being toned down and the unlikelihood of the anti-Yamataian faction even being able to withdraw the Kodians from the Empire without issue. Both sides of the war were rewarded with the EM-G24, otherwise known as the Heian. The only differences between the sold variants was the changing of color patterns, either the pro-Yamataian star or three strikes of a claw on the chest, and either a traditional Yamataian ceremonial armor or a more traditional flat-vest and smooth pad-like panels.
The Loyalist Print can be identified by the pro-Yamataian colors and the symbol of the Yamataian Territorial Star emblazoned on their almost ceremonial-styled armor. Thick fur surrounds the suit's meeting points, harvested from shedding Kodians to better insulate and keep the wearer warm no matter the severity of the weather on their homeworld. This fur can be removed in the warmer months of the world. While the ceremonial nature of the suit's upper half is obvious, the lower half turns functional with belt-supported plates that encompass the back, front thighs, and crotch. The thigh plates are fitted with armored pockets, allowing storage of things such as larger knives necessary to punch through the armor of their foes or various tools to survive the battlefield. The gloves and boots are fitted with thin layers of ballistic mesh, with the massive boots allowing the Kodians to wear a shin and knee-guard combination for further protection. But above all is the signature helmet, with various modular sections to allow a Kodian to fight with much of their face exposed or to even hide their muzzle.
Fighting for the Loyalists are primarily members of the Xenophile (Pro-Alien) Faction and faction-aligned members of the Kodian Native Army. Many of these Kodians believe in a Gashmere that, while strong, should not shut its doors to the nation of Yamatai that had helped them. However, bolstering its numbers are those who found the assassination-tactics of the Anti-Xenoist League an atrocity and are rising to fight against the tyranny trying to isolate their species from the Kikyo Sector. The primary demographic of its members, because of this, are either young ones who grew up under a Yamataian-reign and enjoyed it or ex-members of the Star Army of Yamatai who had either retired or previously served. This has allowed the Loyalists to organize significantly against the AXL, despite their control of the government before the Civil War broke out, and is part of the reason the Heian has found such a symbolic meaning when one sees the red-ringed star of Yamatai charging across a battlefield.
