Is anyone thinking about going to Dragon*Con or GenCon this year?

I've pre-registered for both and I got a room for Dragon*Con and if I can share a room with someone for GenCon I may be able to make it there for the first time.

Currently the only Convention I am booked for is
ConCarolinas - May 31-June 2, 2013

Sakura-Con, Anime Expo, Fanime, Comic-Con. Maybe Anime USA since it was p cool.

Might go to Fanime this year...might. Also going to try and go to Big Wow in May

Might finally get to go to Nekocon this year, had to skip over it twice due to finances.

I have plenty of those SARP business cards I need to spread around.

Don't know if I'll make it to Atlanta for any of the cons this year, with most of my money going to trips with family already. We'll see though.

Nashoba: I'm not going to officially commit just yet, but I want to let you know I'm eying ConCarolinas. It's only 4 hours from me and that's the first weekend of our summer break.

If you guys end up planning something as a group, let me know. ConCarolinas would be pretty easy to swing for me too. Possibly Arieg?

Okay, I registered for ConCarolinas and I got a room. It has two beds in case another SARPer wants to split costs with me.

I was trying to do some pre-convention planning today and I find the Concarolinas website to be very unhelpful as it has a non-working schedule feature and the forums are completely inactive. I commented on this on Twitter.

@Concarolinas What's up with your website? Less than 2 months til con & your event schedule doesn't work & your forums are completely dead.

Instead of offering some sort of solution, they offered this response, which offended me:

Hi Wes,
Actually this is typical for their time line, usually by the end of April they will have a tentative schedule. As you know everything at a Con is subject to change. Due to RL conflicts etc.

And as you can see they are more social media oriented than their forums.

Concarolinas will be just two weeks away tomorrow! Any SARPers considering attending other than Nashoba or myself?

Two weeks from today I'll already be at the hotel. We are spending that day seeing some of the sights of Charlotte, because one does not want to leave the Hotel Parking lot after Friday afternoon.... But there are a number of good places to eat within walking distance of the Hotel.

Heyyyyyy, just wanted to put this in here, I'll be attending Motaku 2013, in Kansas City. It's on August 16 to August 18. I'll be there with my family.
