"Hold still for a bit, this is gonna sting." Pressing a kidney basin up against Richard Rook's side, Ylfa began spraying the graze wound he had, making sure to clean it out as best she can. Once that was done though, the blond turned to the pile of goods she had ready by her side. "How's the ship looking anyways?" she asked everyone, her voice floating over the speakers nearest each person. Jaime and Kelly both heard her directly through their radios however.

"Smooth," Kelly spoke up first. "I'm just sitting here on the bridge while the autopilot takes us to those coordinates. Right now, I'm just making some Junkers," the Freespacer droid explained. "They'll be helping us keep the ship running, and if we're lucky, find any tracking beacons or scuttling charges our 'boss' might have had stuffed away," she explained.

"Sweet. And did anyone find those snacks for Suction Cup Man?" Ylfa asked, turning back to Rook with some gauze. "Gonna pat dry and apply a coating," she remarked. "Man, I can actually see a bit of the bone with how that bullet grazed you." Leaning forward, her new jumpsuit's top still unzipped, the woman couldn't help but look at it with curiosity.

After all, with how much flesh was scraped away, she really could see the bone!

Richard tensed up when sprayed, it hurt a lot but he made sure it didn't show on his face, but it was easy to see looking at his muscles. Once the pain was gone he sighed and relaxed as best he could. "What are we going to do about that suction cup guy anyway? Unless you're interested in his magnets I don't really see a lot of appeal in him...though I won't be the rookie anymore..."

He just let things play out until Ylfa started to practically stare at his chest though, which was a little awkward, even if he wasn't injured. He couldn't cover himself though thanks to that very wound so he decided to be a bit bold. "Hey hey, no free show, if you're gonna stare you should show me your's." He spoke up in a joking tone, chuckling some after, though rather than finding it humorous, that was his nerves getting to him.

Totally attempting to claim the room by trying to find a way to set a door password, Jaime responded while he ate an off brand toaster pastry that he had found in the Galley, "The Galley is stocked, it's like they were expecting crew or something eventually." The Ex-Marine's RKAR was sitting across the large bed, the opened duffel bag containing a few sets of clothing, his basically vacant shadowbox of his nearly non-existent medals, his combat knife, his combat axe, and his automatic sidearm.

After getting his DataJockey to pair with the door equipment, and setting the password to 'LookWhatIFound,' Jaime sat down on the edge of the bed, "Well, we are certainly not lacking in the weapons department nor bunking." He neglected to unpack, knowing damn well that he wasn't the 'Captain' of this acquired ship.

Hecklington had a stash of food in the vents, in case things went south as they tended to do around him. There was also a few parts from the droids up there, which he was attempting to reverse-engineer. Of course, since he had no talent or knack for this kind of stuff, he only succeeded in getting confused. What was even more confusing, however, is his relationship with his team- at least to himself.

Why do I even still hang out with these guys? He would think to himself, Oh right, I literally have no other choice. But hey- I get a chance to insult more people! And I get to offend a space hippie! A two for one deal! Hecklington would also be humming a tune to himself. It was a chipper tune. Though he had no talent for this kinda stuff, so it was all off-key. Was it ever even on key in the first place?

“Looks none the worse for all the abuse it got in the attempts to take it,” Charley replied to Ylfa’s broadcasted question as she walked down the various quarters. Really doubt that we got all the surprises the builders of the ship and whoever hired us have on the ship, she thought, looking in random rooms as she tapped on her datapad, a rudimentary bug tracker program running. Here’s for wishing I still had the Nepleslian military grade software on this thing. “So, we just doing dibs on which room we’re taking or do you want us to stay in a specific area?” Freedom to choose or security in numbers. Questions, questions, questions.

Leaning forward and bent at the waist as she treated him, Ylfa ended up looking up at Rook's face as she raised an eyebrow.

"What, this isn't enough?" the blond asked him. With the top of her jumpsuit unzipped, he could practically see her soft, pillowy flesh flow between the woman's fingers as she grabbed herself. With a mischievous look, she went on. "Maybe you want more?" the ex-sergeant asked, tugging at the edge. Though she hoped to get a rise out of him, Ylfa couldn't help but burst into giggling laughter first as she stood up and straightened herself out. "Oh gosh, that was so cheesy - I don't know how Neko can be all slutty like that and not crack up!." With giddy tears, she simply grabbed the bio-sealant can, locked on to his wound and while still giggling to herself, sprayed, properly finishing his treatment.

Despite the room being a straight shot down from where the bridge was, the door still miraculously worked along with the console. Battered and burned by all the fire it took, he managed to close it with the code he set. The room was secure. As Jaime made himself comfortable however, the faint scent of onions started wafting into the room.

    Ventilation Systems

Meanwhile, as Hecklington contemplated his navel, he felt a light breeze as the A/C system for the ship kicked in. It was a bit chilly in there, now that he thought of it. Would a regular room, with a bed, and all the other luxuries be so bad?

"That's because yours truly and those bots you all rekt got to work fixing the place up after each round," Kelly explained to Charley. "Without them though, It'll be up to me and these little shrimps I'm working on," the Freespacer-droid's voice drifted over the comms.

"That's just creepy," Ylfa replied through the same speakers. Even though she was in the same room as Rook, she didn't bother saying that with her own mouth. The blond was too busy laughing at herself and the guy with her.

"Inorite?" they heard Kelly exclaim. "It was all too sterile and neat and clean and crap. Way too neat and clean. You meatbags are almost never this neat and clean!"

Jaime arched his back to stand near ramrod straight as he sniffed the air. He scrunched his nose as recounted his steps when he had entered the room, no one was in here. He looked at his DataJockey and guessed it was something coming in rather than something in here as it hadn't started smelling like onions and not-showering since the A/C had kicked on. He pressed a few buttons and closed the vents to the air conditioner.

He looked at his bag again, now thinking about who would lob onions into the vents. He didn't think it would be Ylfa due to being all indirect, and none of the others really seemed to be that kind to do such a thing. It had to be one of the ones he didn't know. He huffed quietly before tapping on his DataJockey and sent a message to the entire group,

'Alright, who lobbed a bunch of out of date onions and refuse into the vents?'

Richard should've known better, but he took Ylfa's words seriously for a moment, and they did get quite the rise out of him. He was thankful that it took him a moment to respond, and he could not get it out before she laughed. He just blushed a little and laughed off his own misunderstanding. As he waited for the sealing to be finished, he quickly thought up a reply, he had to say something back or he'd let on to himself. "Yeah it's pretty cheesy, but Yamatai is full of skinny women, so just give them breast and the guys there are happy and will do anything."

Once the sealant was on though he sat up properly, in part to hid himself and then spoke over the radio Ylfa was using. "Wait, so are these like Kelly's kids now that are going to be piloting the ship? Should I be worried they'll break my shins?"

"... I need like, an actual blanket up here or something. Gonna have to, er, borrow one from my pals. Maybe? Probably not the best idea, but who the hell knows.. Might be able to grab one from the unclaimed rooms.." He would mumble this, and other such things to himself as he felt the cold chill of the A/C system. But, he had done this before, during his heists, had he not? though, he shifted more towards a vent cover, in case he needed to quickly grab a blanket. Or maybe a room..

Alexis began to take her arm off.

This wasn't as brutal as it sounded; the arm was fake, a false one that she'd had installed to cover up the loss of her right arm from a sniper's bullet during the NMX occupation of Nepleslia Prime, back when she was just a sport-shooter. Her original had been installed, military-grade, from the infirmary of a submarine by a medic. This black-and-red hot-rod she wore now was a full prosthetic with all the bells and whistles included with it.

She still didn't like wearing it, unless she had to, and had elected to keep it detachable. The link was very strong, but it still felt... wrong, to her. Like a limb over a ghost limb. Since she preferred not to have to deal with it, if she didn't have to, and since it seemed that she wouldn't be shooting the other crewmembers anymore, it found a home latched onto the edge of the forward, starboard chair's arm - where she left it.

With her remaining hand, she finally undid her veil and pulled back her silvery, synthetic hood. She mussed out her cropped hair (artistically, naturally) and began to examine the console at which she had seated herself.

It appeared, like she'd guessed before, to be the Communications console. It had various functions, and a headset, which she donned.

Immediately her vision was assailed by a series of windows and she had to take the headset off a few times to realize that only she could see them. Otherwise, they looked to her like volumetric windows, the sort that peppered glossy advertisements or late-night, high-tech Yammie TV shows. This would require a bit of getting used to.

    "Wicked," she admitted.

One-handed, she fished a small, silvery cigarette case out of the inside of her cloak, one of the pockets sewn into the opposite side. She worked a cigarette out with the type of superior manual dexterity only available to the crippled, and plucked it out of her fingers with her lips. She snapped the case closed, tossed it on the console, and found her lighter.

Then, through a haze of smoke, she looked to Kelly, "So uh, Kelly. I know we haven't been like, working together too long, but seriously, what do you think of this shit? These guys?"

“Sorry for your loss,” Charley replied to Kelly, snorting as she kept looking in the various cabins. “You going to want help cleaning up now? Marines are nothing if not glorified spaceship janitors.”

Pausing at a cabin close to the bathroom, the Jiyuuian raised her eyebrow at the talk about onions. “No idea, Jaime. I’m more of a whoopee cushion girl myself,” she said, a small smirk on her lips as she walked into the cabin. Dibs, she thought, as she put her weapons on the bed and started dressing down to her shirt-sleeves. Wonder if they have towels around here?

As Jaime pondered, the smell simply kept on coming. There was nothing in his bag that'd cause the smell, and the same went for the room after he went around searching for the source. As it almost seemed to be in vain, the air conditioning system became active again as a gentle, cool breeze drifted into the room. Naturally, this also meant that the room was slowly began to smell like an onion farm.

    Ventilation Systems

Though it felt like winter had come in the air vent, Hecklington's search for shelter only brought him as far as the access hatch into the captain's quarters. Unlike civilian systems, it was relatively sturdy, and built to deny any view into said quarters for both safety and privacy concerns. For better or worse though, there was a lock he could open by pulling a little leaver.

    Infirmary

"I dunno," Ylfa replied, hands on her hips as she looked up to the ceiling in thought. "Do you ever think what happens when everyone's super pretty, and you get sex like, ten times a day?" she innocently asked. Despite the question being rather loaded, it was a completely legitimate one. Just what would happen to them? Would it be just like Richard said, or something else? The blond's eyes darted over to him the moment he mentioned Kelly's junkers however.

"That's....that's actually kinda creepy to think about," Ylfa admitted. "Well, as long as she doesn't press for child support - though, if she does, you're paying!"

    Bridge

As 'her' hands deftly worked, soldering wires and welding plates together, Kelly's 'face' turned towards Alexis.

"Well, for meatbags, they're ok," Kelly replied. "Ylfa was a pretty good sarge, and Jaime is pretty honest and upstanding and all that." She paused for a moment, the sparks stopping. "Oh, and Jaime stares at Ylfa's cans for like, an extra zero-point-six-to-one second each time he looks at her!" the Freespacer started to laugh, voice raggedy with a digital edge. "Seriously, I don't get that. Like, I get the technical science stuffs, but like, what's it like?"

"And nah, I don't need help cleaning up the ship - I'll get to it sooner or later," the light battle droid replied to Charley.

    Corridors

"And nah, I don't need help cleaning up the ship - I'll get to it sooner or later," the woman heard over the intercoms. As Charley continued on however, she felt a small something bump her feet. Looking down, it was some sort of junker-bot variant that Kelly had cobbled together. Looking more like a giant hockey puck with the words 'Broombahh!' scrawled on it in childish handwriting, it proceeded to clean up the debris and such around her feet before proceeding onwards into another room.

The steady drip-drip-drip of water could be heard from there.

"... Might as well," he said, before he pulled the lever. He fell face-first into the captain's quarters, and, noticing its occupant, immediately panicked and said. "Didn't know this room was occupied! Sorry! Totally not here to grab a blanket or anything, heh heh..." He stood up, and brushed himself off, trying hard not to panic again. "Uh... yyyyyyeeeah, I guess I'll.. uh..." He did not finish that trail of thought, instead shrugging sheepishly

"If it doesn't look like me I'm not the father." He chuckled and folded his armed, but winced slightly at the pain. Then something dawned on him and he moved over to the radio and turned it back on so he could contact Kelly, then spoke.

"Kelly, don't call the stupid one Richard or put my face on it or anything like that." He wasn't sure if Kelly would make a joke like that, but he wanted to cover his bases just in case, he did still want to at least appear to be cool to those that didn't know him yet.

    "What the fuck?"

Jaime turned around and had his hand leaning to where his sidearm would be. He turned his head to the side, "The fuck... were you doing?" The Ex-Marine raised his arms as if to knife-hand him into the bulkheads but he had never seen a weirdo come out of a vent. Not even in boot camp did things get this fucky.

"Go get a room and stop crawling around in the vents, I'm not going to clean you up when you get diced by a fan."

    Charley’s Room

The Jiyuuian chuckled as she saw the little vacuum cleaner move around, tapping it with her foot to send it in different directions before leaving it alone and going back to getting more comfortable. “Much better,” she said, stretching a little before she looked down at her body and sighed. And then I remember that the gear makes my chest look bigger. Fuck having a boss that makes me feel like an insecure 99er again.

Her thoughts were interrupted with the sudden commotion that came from the captain’s quarters, reflex bringing her SMG to bear as she headed down the hallway, before realizing that it was just Mr. Suction Cup and Jaime arguing over something. Taking a breath to calm herself, she perked up when she heard water dripping from somewhere. Wonder what that is, she thought, putting the weapons’ strap over her shoulder before trying to find the source of the noise. Is it in one of the other rooms?

"Yeah yeah, whatever, I'll find a room or something... But I will make sure that 95% of my blood 'n' stuff comes into this room if I DO get chopped. Now, if you'll excuse me, I must go now- I need to save my people." He would calmly walk out of the quarters, and look around the hallway for an unoccupied room.

    Ylfa snorted.

"If she hears you say that, she'll take your mugshot and just tape it on the face," the blond remarked with a grin. "Anyways, I'm going to go take a look around and see how the others are doing. Let me know if it starts itching or something." Cleaning up the supplies, she was soon up and out the door. They had a whole ship to themselves after all, and it was worth taking a look around.

    Bridge

"Huh? Why would you think I'd do that Richard?" Kelly oh-so-innocently replied over the comms, the faint synthetic auto-tune tinting her voice like it always did. "None of these guys are going to be dumb or anything! Maybe I'll name the runt after you instead?" the female war machine offered. Quietly, knowing she was listening, the Freespacer waved Alexis over to show the woman just what was written on the hull and gave a mischievous snicker. Flipping out a small tool, Kelly removed 'Richa - ' from the spider-like machine's metal. Processing what to write instead, she then wrote something else. A Delsaurian word she thought was really funny.

    'Estupido'

    Hallway

As Charley turned to leave both Hecklington and Rook to their antics, the two watched her leave before hearing it too.

    That drip.

That irritating drip. It was that kind of drip that made a person's mind itch, nagging at them the moment they'd think it finally stopped. Only to begin again. Irregular and abnormal in tempo. As the Jiyuuian walked about, searching for that noise, she found a doorway, jammed open and unable to close. The private suite of the ship they were on was usually for VIPs, but so far, nobody had claimed it yet, which was surprising considering the rest of them were going to have to sleep in bunks if they didn't.

It was faint, but Charley smelled it. The faint, iron scent of blood.

    Private Suite

"Shoot, you claiming that room already?" Ylfa asked, pointing a finger at the VIP room the Jiyuuian was standing outside of. The woman couldn't help but feel this was what she got for not getting first dibs. Her chest rising and falling with a sigh, she shrugged in resignation. The moment she heard it too however, the blond couldn't help but narrow her eyes at the room. "Stupid drip."

“Uhh, no I haven’t claimed it or gone in yet,” Charley replied, bringing her weapon up to point at the door. “And do you smell blood or is my nose broken?”

You know, that might not have been the smartest thing to say out loud, the Jiyuuian thought, cringing at the mistake. She then moved to the side of the door, so she was a harder target for anything that would come out of the suite. Hopefully whatever it is, is dumb enough to stay in the room and not understand what I said.

Looking at Ylfa, she raised an eyebrow in question. What’cha want to do, boss?

Richard waved to Ylfa as she stepped out and then let out a sigh and sat up properly. He was alone in the room and left to think about what went down shortly before. His life had taken another turn, but it seemed like there was always a variable that never changed, guns were part of his work. He never thought he'd end up like that years ago, but he was strangely comfortable with it now. Was it the people he was with...or did he like this kind of work, putting his life on the line everyday, bullets whizzing by his head? He placed his hand at his side, still tender from the bullet that grazed him. Well at least he didn't enjoy the pain, so he wasn't totally crazy.

The large man stood up and put his shirt on but with his injury the compression just caused him pain, so he took it back off and walked out of the infirmary. While everyone else was concerned with getting a room, he figured he should grab some food, he'd take whatever was left over with rooms, or if he got lucky, maybe he'd have an excuse to room with one of the ladies. So he made his way to leisurely through the halls to look for the kitchen.
