Approved Submission Elysian CCG...

This suggestion has been implemented. Votes are no longer accepted.
There are no Elysian PCs who come from Frost's sub-faction.

The ones that are running around are all from the Elysian Faction that was dismantled a while back.

Since Elysian Bodies aren't carefully controlled tech like NH series, there is no need to treat them like Nekos.

False, as, well, Elysian characters (usually) come from the Elysian Celestial Empire.

False, as the "Elysian Faction" was never dismantled in the first place, @Zack.

False, @Zack, seeing as how no other faction has ever been able to duplicate a Patrician - and no other faction ever will, due to the Faction Rights.

The Elysian faction was dismantled in the sense that after its RP died and it rejoined Yamatai, its military was absorbed. Since almost nobody bothers to play civilians, this effectively was the end of them as a playable faction.

It is okay to create non-Yamatai Nekovalkyra under some circumstances. See: Tweak -- but the Star Army part of the history would be subject to review to keep implausible things out.

Characters of any species in the SAoY are in the Yamataian faction, obviously. They literally work for and swear loyalty to the YSE government.

Their game master.

Noted. I only need their permission, not the FM's, which means... In reality they shouldn't refer to the faction manager. Because faction managers don't matter for characters.

....Wait, why do we have a CCG then, if the FM's the person to make it and yet it shouldn't be followed, since the FM doesn't mater when characters are involved?

Their game master.

But then what happens when the GM approves something - either intentionally or unintentionally - that contradicts canon and/or misrepresents a faction?

And why even have Faction Managers - or the Faction Rights - in the first place if Game Masters can apparently ignore both of them at their leisure?

The CCG is for the species, not the faction. Elysians can be from anywhere at this point and there are plenty of places to get Elysian bodies. Even the more rare ones should be able to be produced by Yamatai.

Hey, @Wes it looks like Frost is editing in his own approval rules without having them be approved. Can we get that removed and the page locked to prevent an edit war?

I think this is the second time we've had to deal with this kinda thing from frost at least.

Then why have a CCG if no one has to follow it?

Elysians can be from anywhere at this point...

False, as Elysians - except for a certain group of heretics - never had a mass exodus from Elysia Novus.

False.

Game masters are subject to their FMs, or in the case of indy characters, to me. Also if something is approved that does not make sense it can simply be escalated to staff.

Nekovalkyrja bodies are the property of the Star Army of Yamatai. Therefore, they are considered to be assets of the Yamatai Star Empire because of their status, as listed under #7 under criminal law in the Laws of the Star Army of Yamatai article. Therefore, the Yamatai Star Empire and its faction managers are exempt, in that they are allowed to consider Nekovalkyrja as 'assets', because "Factions have a right to control their own assets".

Patrician bodies do not receive the same scrutiny. Especially, if said Patrician is sworn to the service of another organization, such as the Star Army of Yamatai or another major/independent faction.

GMs can approve characters on their own. It is the FM's job to oversee the approvals. For example Ame can approve a Neko or an Elysian for her plot on her own, however if the character does not fit the canon (YSS Kaiyo is Yamatai) I can step in and ask for changes. For example the CCG for Nekos says solid skin colors so I could object to a neko with a polka dot skin pattern.

Only Eihei bodies are considered property. Most neko are treated like any other species with the exception of their 3-year military service requirement.

Okay, thank you, that makes a lot of sense-and hopefully should finish this argument, as it does in fact explain how the issue at hand would relate to it (i.e. characters contradicting canonical information or data).

Regarding Elysian plots, we will have them shortly.
