RP: The Wayward First Steps (Ep 01)

Reed checked his followup sword swing as Shadow barreled into his fight. He growled in annoyance as Shadow began to shout and attack his target.

"Shadow! Easy with the head smashing! We need them alive!"
 
Embel watched Shadow start caving in skulls then walked over to him "Shadow darling, please stop smashing that guy's skull, he has had enough fun" she then looked at the woman and grinned a bit "at least we have her~" she walked to the tied up woman and got face to face to her "now tell us why you're here, or get your pretty face smashed into a wall by our ID-SOL" she grinned .
 
Hugar noticed Shadow going a little out of control but then his attention gets put back on the female who's still struggling despite her wounds and sighs a bit tightening the bindings on her before rearing back and hitting her in the back of the head hard enough to render her unconscious, but not hard enough that she would get any form of permanent damage. Then once he made sure she was unconscious, he stood up and looked at Shadow and then looked at Tanja a bit worried for what the future may hold with his violence. Then he looks at Embel and smiles: "Its better if we take these two back towards the entrance and further from the group they are most likely with before interrogating them. They could've done something to send the others towards us....so..." Looks at Tanja for the order to pull back.
 
Shadow rushed into pushing Reed aside and slammed the unidentified man into the wall. However this put Shadow in a position where he was receiving the slash instead, though with less force as the man could not get a full swing off before Shadow had pushed him off balance. It did no take long however for an ID-SOL using his full strength to slam him into a wall before the man just went limp, it was uncertain if he was unconscious or dead, but blood was coming from the back of his head.

The woman could not see what was going on because she was busy struggling, however it did not last long before she too was knocked unconscious.

"Pick them up and lets move. We need to at least get out of this building. We'll have to re group outside and figure out what's up." She sounded somewhat irritated as she gestured for everyone to move, not at all like her usual lighthearted tone. "We'll grab one of those NMX transports on the way." She was already walking before anyone had a chance to reply, holstering her pistol.
 
Reed returned his vial to its hilt form and returned it to his belt. He moved to the each unconscious Nepleslian and confiscated their weapons. By the time he was done, he had an extra pistol holstered on his belt and rifle slung over his shoulders. He wiped the saber clean as he set off after Tanja. Reed had no intention of keeping the NMX weapons. The first thing he planned to do when they got back to a station is to sell them.

Embel followed the Captain looking at the NMX, she knew that sometimes they were liberated and worked for the Star Army and that, she thought for a bit "the guy may be able to work with us, the girl is a lost cause, by how they acted, unless she was disguising her true feeling."
 
Hugar looked a little annoyed that Reed ignored Tanja's orders, and left both of them with just him and shadow, But he ignored it for now and put up his rifle, leaving him unable to fight and picked both the woman and the male up, easily rather, due to his rather large frame and muscular stature. He jogged after them looking at Embel for a moment before shaking his head. "If they are NMX, chances are they won't work willingly...We're probably going to have to use 'persuasive' measures if they don't cooperate." He looked at Tanja and thought for a moment before shaking his head. "Thats of course assuming they are NMX at all, for all we know they could've been scavengers with good gear..." He muttered but kept up his pace.
 
With a hurried pace the crew of the Anbruch made their way back to the assembly floor. Everything was as they left it and Tanja was heading to the vehicle with a flat bed on the back. "I'll try to start this thing up. Everyone get on the flat bed. There's a partial canopy cover at least." After saying those words she climbed into the vehicle and started messing around with the console to try and get the vehicle started.

After a moment it did indeed start. "Okay she's running, but we don't have a full tank."
 
Embel followed to the vehicle and looked around one last time "should someone sit in the front with you Tanja?" she was waiting for the others to come as she scanned the area making sure that no one was going to attack them, her tail wrapped around part of the vehicle for quick access when she needed to enter it.
 
Hugar quickly got up into the machine and dropped the two people inside and gets in himself, he quickly checks both the female and the male thoroughly for anything that could be a danger to them and removes it.
 
Tanja shook her head to Embel softly. "The front is enclosed, if you're inside there's nothing you can do if anything happens." She then climbed back in and did a final check.

Once everyone was on board and situated Tanja drove the vehicle off the assembly floor, picking up speed as it reached the path they had entered by. The shutter was still mostly closed but Tanja did not hesitate, in fact she pressed fully on the gas, ramming the long tusk into the door and ripping it down, the partial canopy protecting everyone in the back from debris.

After a check over Hugar, neither of the two captives had anything particularly dangerous on their person, however both had sustained significant injuries and were bleeding pretty heavily, they would need to at least need to stop bleeding if there was any chance of them to survive.
 
Hugar pauses a moment and begins searching around the vehicle that they were in. There had to be something akin to a first aid kit around there, and as he was a biology expert he knew at least the bare basics of Medicine, so he could at least stop their bleeding with a first aid kit perhaps. Unfortunately, he noted that there was nothing as they were in the back of a truck and sighs a bit. He takes a moment and then pulls off the males shirt and tears it into as many strips as he needs and begins patching up the wounds one by one to ensure that they don't bleed out.

He took a minuet once done to inspect his work before nodding and leaning back against the truck bed before sighing and rubbing his head before looking at Tanja through the back of the truck. "Hey Cap'n thanks for coverin' my ass back there. Would've been toast if that thing got a direct hit on me." He chuckled ever so slightly running his fingers through his red hair before cracking his neck lightly.

Embel sat by Hugar as they drove off and watched him as he does worked and smiled a bit "at least they weren't both female" she giggled as she lay back a bit "sorry for not being more help in that fight through, it all happened so fast." She looked around the vehicle as well just incase there was anything to salvage on the vehicle as the NMX may have been using it to transfer things from the facility to where they were based "there may be things on the vehicle worth our trip."
 
Anbruch

The ride back was rather bumpy and but it was quick, Tanja wanted to get back to the ship as quickly as they could for numerous reasons and within just a few minutes the one kilometer trip had been covered. The Cargo bay was opening as they approached and without any hassle Tanja drove the truck inside.

Once inside she hopped out and without a moment to waste began giving orders. "Reed, Geboku I need you two to get the ship ready to fly at a moment's notice. Hugar, Embel you two get the detainees to medical, treat them and then sedate them. Then we'll transfer them to a room, and Geboku we'll guard them. We'll have a debriefing on the bridge. We'll go over what our next move should be. Now everyone get moving."
 
Anbruch

Hugar nods and picks up both of their detainee's and moves through the halls and to the Medical bay, once there he uses his knowledge in Biology to properly disinfect and wrap the wounds on the people. He looks at Embel and smiles a bit in the process; "So your first big combat encounter aboard the Anbruch, shaken up?" He asks the beautiful Gartagen.
 
Anbruch

Embel walked with Hugar and smiled as they made their way to medical, once there she followed Hugar's lead as she wasn't that knowledgeable with medical procedures then when she was being asked a question she looked up at Hugar "No, I am annoyed at myself for not being more useful in the fight."
 
Twenty minutes later

The two captives were stabilized by Hugar and Embel, and taken to one of the rooms to act as a prion to confine them. They were unconcious so getting them to cooperate was no issue, they did have to be sedated thought o make sure they did not wake up during the debrief. While this was happening, everyone else worked on getting the ship ready for take off.

It was after everything was done that everyone except for Geboku met in the bridge to have a debriefing while on alert. Geboku was chosen to watch over the prisoners to make sure they did not escape. With everyone present and Tanja in the Captain's chair she looked around to them and sighed.

"Okay first off we seem to have alerted them to our presence, I don't know where be we must've tripped something." She scratched her head as she thought but couldn't recall any signs of a trap. "We have managed to collect data on an Ocelot Hover Car and an Expresso Bi-plane, neither is really anything special, but we can sell them for a bit of a pay out. We also have an NMX made utility truck, which we are not keeping, I don't want to be driving around and mistaken for NMX, so that we have to sell." The woman leaned back in her chair with a groan not even liking the report herself. "I guess there's NMX weapons too, but only the Impaler Rifle would sell for anything. So the question becomes. Do we risk it and go in trying to get more while they're on alert? Or do we cut our losses and run before they find us?"
 
Hugar stared at Tanja for a moment, he was sitting in his normal chair at the navigational controls and thinking on what he said. "...I'm not sure, I mean we could always get more but there is a chance that in doing so we will run into trouble... We are unsure how many people are actually in there." He looked towards the building and then back to Tanja. "My body, and soul are yours Cap'n, in the end I'll follow ya to hell n back, so I'll go with whatever you think is best."
 
Leaning against the back wall Shadow spoke up "we could interrogate the two we found to discover if anyone else is there and if it's safe to go back. But I think I owe you all an apology for loosing my temper I'll try not to let it happen again" he looked down feeling like he'd let down his crew and acted like a monster.
 
Tanja looked to Shadow and shook her head some. "Normally I'd agree, but if there are more people there, in the time it would take us to interrogate them they could have found our ship. These 20 minutes we spent already were risky enough." She tapped her chin and looked to the rest.
