Forum Upgrade This Weekend

This weekend I will install Xenforo 2. In preparation for this I need to uninstall all the styles and add-ons so I removed most of them today. Goodbye classic Ghost Nebula!

Also based on feedback I've removed the Facebook "like" button from the page so it won't spy on you.

That would explain why they suddenly went poof! (And maybe it explains why my alerts have entirely stopped working...)

Rest in peace Ghost Nebula, you beautiful theme. o7

One thing that seems to be an unfortunate loss of the functional variety is the little notification I'd get on the actual tab itself. though that still is more because the site's being worked on, not so much because an update is killing it : P

Since add-ons can't be ported to the new software, I had to remove them (but there are new XF2 versions of many of them waiting for us when we make the switch). The alert number on the favicon (tab icon) was one of them.

Themes also cannot be transferred to the new version (we have XF2 Tactical waiting for us after the upgrade though). Just before the upgrade, Tactical (XF 1.5 version) will also be removed.

I'm assuming that all the extra little bits and bobs like notification system plugins and all that are gonna be added over time too? ^u^

FYI everyone: We don't have the red number icons on the favicon (Tab icon) anymore because that was an XF1 add-on and there's no equivalent of it for XF2 yet. However, if you look at the tab text in your browser the text will have the number of alerts before the page title like:
