Faction requires art? No, but I may add pics anyway.

@CadetNewb a while back I had included the 6 Caravan heavy freighters in a thread. They are the foundation of FLS, I would like your blessing to continue using them.

@Zack I know I'm already permitted but I would like permission here to incorporate C5 drones, broadsword cruisers, and U1s.

Who runs Zen Arms? I have an Alligator on the list I wanted to have permission to use.

Military Buildup Limitations said:
The buildup limitations are intended for nation states, not for their subordinate organizations such as corporations. Corporate and civilian ships not involved in national defense are not limited ... Note: The above section is a general guideline, and does not need to be tracked or adhered to in an “exact” fashion. It should only be invoked in the face of an unjustified factional mass-expansion, particularly one that is not done through plot-based roleplaying.
So even if these things count against USO's buildup limit, it's essentially up to @Wes at this point to say yes (which kind of happened when he approved the submission) or revise his take on the article.

How can the Frontier Service Corporation have the following assets...
...when the manufacturer of those assets, USO, has (according to the numbers listed here, here, and here) a deficit - as in, it somehow has more starships then it could have possibly built given the times listed here - of 13 Broadsword-class Light Cruisers and 218 C5b Drones?
By owning the biggest class of spacebound shipyards available on the market and filling it with people who's focus is to build ships... stealing Kuvexian manufacturing technology helps automate many processes too.

Plus, FSCorp is not the USO.

Additionally every ship is named, with a named NPC captain, which is far more detail than most people provide. That should count for something.

And finally, are you really trying to smother the 188604 plot again or have you simply never stopped? I mean, your rivalry with Zack is one thing, are you honestly trying to get me to put you on ignore as well?

Those shipyards, are they currently building ships based on military buildup times?

Theoretically they could probably go faster. It's a massive station filled with SARP-tech, the same station OI uses to generate thousands of ships, idk. There aren't any numbers I can use for reference to the station besides that chart, but I didn't use it. It's simply a massive station built for mass production.

I think the real question is how this affects Frost enough to warrant his attention. This was approved by Wes, I'm sure if it were a real problem the creator of the setting would have caught it.

Fair enough - but then how would FSC be able to afford all of that without bankrupting itself? Ships - and employee salaries - aren't exactly cheap, nor is FSC a well-known, well-established, or (in my personal opinion) well-reputed company.

... stealing Kuvexian manufacturing technology helps automate many processes too.

Where is the wiki article for this technology?

...with a named NPC captain...

Since when was "CAPTAIN" a name, @Rizzo?

...which is far more detail than most people provide. That should count for something.

That unfortunately counts for nothing under the Military Buildup Limitations.

And finally, are you really trying to smother the 188604 plot again or have you simply never stopped? I mean, your rivalry with Zack is one thing, are you honestly trying to get me to put you on ignore as well?

Why are you making slanderous accusations and personal attacks against me, @Rizzo?

[...]

Right #8 of the Player Rights provides all of the "justification" I need, @Rizzo - and I personally view a brand-new corporation with over a thousand military ships as a "real problem," especially when said ships are ICly used to harass other people's corporations.

The Player Rights said:
8. I have the right to comment on any setting article being submitted for approval, since changes to the setting may affect my characters or plots. [...]

It isn't slander if it's true. You've been harassing us from day one and the whole community has seen it. Quote your rights Frost, I will ignore them as you ignore mine. I have backed up this entire company with IC events. I would be overjoyed to see you do the same.

By the way, they're not military ships you beautiful genius, they're glorified satellites.

It’s right at the start of the article quoted. Why are we even responding to frost if he isn’t bothering to read the rules? Do I have to just keep coming in here and quoting the very obvious bolded/highlighted line that he somehow skipped over every time he posts in the NTSE?

It isn't slander if it's true.

It is slander until you provide - should it even exist in the first place - evidence that proves otherwise, @Rizzo.

You've been harassing us from day one...

Again, where's your proof - and if none exists, then why do you persist in making slanderous personal attacks against me? Isn't that a form of harassment in itself?

...and the whole community has seen it.

False, as you cannot presume to speak for the entire SARP community.

Quote your rights Frost, I will ignore them as you ignore mine.

Given that I (as far as I'm aware) haven't ignored any of your Player Rights, why are you ignoring my Player Rights, @Rizzo?

I have backed up this entire company with IC events.

Would you mind linking the post(s) which explain(s) how FSC can afford to construct over one thousand starships, then?

I would be overjoyed to see you do the same.

I, uh, can't do that, as I don't run any corporations.

By the way, they're not military ships you beautiful genius...

Why are you making personal attacks against me, @Rizzo?

...they're glorified satellites.

False; according to this section of the Military Buildup Limitations, a warship is a "starship primarily designed for combat" that has "more than 4 weapons or offensive systems rated SDR 3/Tier 11 or above." Seeing as how the C5 is a gunship with multiple Tier 13 weapons, it would be dishonest to claim that it is anything but a warship.

I'm not the one who "isn't bothering to read the rules" @Zack - because while the limitations and star system definitions don't apply to corporations, the building times most certainly do.

Do I have to just keep coming in here and quoting the very obvious bolded/highlighted line that he somehow skipped over every time he posts in the NTSE?

As far as I'm aware, there is nothing forcing you to make posts in "here," @Zack.

You know, he keeps on quoting his right to post in any thread he feels like despite knowing that none of us want to talk to him because of his endless nitpicking.

Again, why are you making personal attacks against me, @Rizzo?

It is called harassment, and it is a crime. Maybe we should hire a lawyer and sue for emotional distress?

Slander is also a crime, @Rizzo - and are members of this community allowed to pressure and intimidate other members by threatening legal action against them, @Wes?

Rizz, don’t feed the trolls. Just put him on ignore.

Why are you making personal attacks against me, @Zack? I am not a troll, nor do I appreciate being called one.

Frost, did you just argue that the military buildup guidelines do apply to the FSC in one paragraph and then argue that they don’t in the next?

Look at me not taking my own advice.

Seriously just put him on ignore and move on. If you starve him of attention he’ll leave.

I've just been looking at this thread getting more and more confused at the limitations on companies lol, interesting thread anyhow

Frost, did you just argue that the military buildup guidelines do apply to the FSC in one paragraph and then argue that they don’t in the next?

I did not, as pointing out that the C5 is a warship has nothing to do with the fact that as a corporation FSC is "exempt" from the asset limitations and star system definitions but is not "exempt" from the building times.

I think he did. Man, that's a bad argument! I don't know what to believe!

See above for why my "argument" is not "bad", @Rizzo.

Look at me not taking my own advice.

Seriously just put him on ignore and move on. If you starve him of attention he’ll leave.

Stop making passive-aggressive personal attacks against me, @Zack, as I am not starved for attention - and ignoring (what I believe to be) valid concerns will not make them conveniently disappear.

Additonally - and in order to get this thread back on topic - would @Rizzo and @Zack please answer the questions I asked in my previous posts?
