What do you call yourself?
Here, I'm Ebenezer Blackstone, known as Blackstone elsewhere.

How'd you find Star Army?
Google Search. I am a huge fan of Star Citizen and I was a little disappointed that there is basically no active RP community whatsoever around that game.

What interested you in joining?
As mentioned above, I want to try a Sci Fi RP. I used to play a German equivalent of DnD regularly for a long time and am relatively well versed in Medieval/Fantasy RP stuff.

Ever done this text-based roleplaying thing before?
Yep. I am currently very active in NationStates, where I regularly RP as the clinically insane People's Republic of Kaskada. Feel free to PM me there!
Additionally, I used to write in a German urban fantasy RP set in today's society. Very fun.

Any previous experiences you want to share?
Not sure what to write here. Will gladly answer later.

Do you prefer:

• Playing male, female, or other-gendered characters?
  - I prefer playing as a male, but I do have experience playing as male, female, scary hooded figure, river rock, tree stump and magic speaking sword. Yes, really.
• Spontaneous or planned RP?
  - As everything I plan out generally crashes down at me in a big clusterfuck, this is actually not easy to answer.
• Military or civilian characters?
  - Military. Although I tend to play characters who would see that differently. Let's say that my favourite character archetype is Rincewind the Wizard.
• Humans, androids, anthros, or aliens?
  - Eh.
• Being on a starship or being on a planet?
  - Can't say. I have no experience with Sci Fi in RP. I can imagine Firefly-esque stuff to be very fun, though.
• Roleplay via forum posts or in real-time?
  - I have more experience with the former and I prefer physical presence in the latter. So, forum posts it is.

On a scale of 1 to 3, what's your preferred level of these in your RP:

• Language: 3. I try to write as educated as possible. Is that the right word? I don't know. This isn't my first language. Feel free to yell at me for blatant errors. I want to learn, after all.
• Violence: 2. Bloodshed is good, if it isn't the only thing happening. I'd rather have it as the background for a story instead of being the centerpiece.
• Sexuality: 1. Sorry, not interested here, except for comedic stuff.

What's something cool you'd love to RP?
I dunno yet. This is more of a shot in the dark. Maybe you have some ideas or would like a specific type of character somewhere?

The most popular equivalent would be Das Schwarze Auge, which has a very similar setting and system. I play it for about four years now, three years of that as DM.
