Weapons Department - Lab 3B

Jack entered the lab with Sarah and Neera in tow as he made his way to the pedestal in the room's center. He wore full Revenant armor minus the helmet. The light illuminated his snow white hair and goatee as well as the double helix tattoo curved around his left eye, and the long scar that passed over his right eye.

"Alright, so considering we made her, we really need to use her." Jack said, rubbing the back of his suit covered neck as they gathered around.

"Yes, turn it on, I want to hear the jokes about your love life again." Sarah laughed as she brushed her long black hair aside, revealing the long scar running down the side of her face as blue eyes looked over the weapon.

"Whose brilliant idea was it to make this frankengun again?" The white furred wolf anthro Neera asked as she jotted notes on a pad, her crimson eyes never leaving the screen.

"Shut up Sarah, I got plenty about yours. And I don't know, I don't keep track of individual techs. Hey Essie, you awake?" Jack asked as his own crimson eyes looked the gun over after cutting a glare to his older sister.

"Of course I'm awake, you bloody wanker. What, did you forget I'm not one of you flabby slabs of meat with your eating and sleeping and making all those horrible smells?" The irritated, oddly accented voice emanated from the extremely large, cumbersome-looking gun resting on the pedestal. "And if your little yappy pet has a problem with me, I'll tell her where she can stuff it, savvy? Come in here with all this tosh about someone named Frank, are you off your bloody rocker?" The comments came fast and furious once she realized she had an audience.

Sarah laughed hard at the gun's comments, "Damn Neera, she's got more bite than you do."

Neera stopped writing to eye the gun over the top of the pad, "That's fine, I know where we stock the corrosives. Dad, can we please disown aunt Sarah?"

Jack pinched the bridge of his nose between two fingers in annoyance, "Alright, that's enough. Neera, we can't do that, do you know how costly it was to make her? And Sarah, respect your niece please. Essie, we're going to be doing a final trial run today. Ready to perforate some assholes?"

"What are you laughing at, you lanky streak of piss? What happened to you, did all your brains fall into your tits?" This was followed by a cackle. "And you'd better watch yourself, hairball, I'm about to be loaded for bear. I might just slip, and whoops, Jack's stretching what's left of you out on the floor to warm his tootsies." She seemed happy to trade barbs with the two girls, while Jack himself looked more annoyed by the moment.

"Right, I'm a classy doll with expensive tastes. Not like a couple of slags I could name." Another giggle from the firearm, which remained completely still where it had been placed. "Haven't you tossers poked and prodded me enough, mate? You point me at some sod you want dealt with, and I blast a right proper hole in 'em. Brilliant, eh?" A short pause. "Pardon, you want to do what to their arseholes? Your bruv's into some kinky shite, gals."

Sarah laughed again, "I would say so since he married an Elysi-."

"Shut the fuck up Sarah! You say one more goddamn thing about Isabelle and I will shove you off the Hammer's flight deck. I am really not in the mood for your shit, or have you forgotten who actually plastered the floor last week. Get me some pain pills." Jack snapped with more anger than was needed.

Sarah's happy demeanor turned both shocked and sad as he did so before walking off to get the pills.

Neera was going to speak up when Sarah first spoke, but remained quiet as Jack snapped, "Dad, come down. We'll get him back." She said after he was done with a pat to the shoulder plate.

"Oh, trouble in paradise, is it? Here I thought you lot were all one big 'appy family." Even without any visual representation, her voice radiated smugness. "Careful luv, I've heard it's not a good idea to have a weapon close at hand when you're havin' a row. Might do something you regret. I mean, I wouldn't regret it, personally."

She was quiet for a moment, as her audience had shrunk by one, and the two remaining didn't seem as interested in verbally sparring with her as they had been a few minutes earlier. "Right, so, are we going to bloody shoot something or are we just wagging our tongues here lads? Maybe we can take a ride after, go out on the town, you can get pissed and let me do something you'll regret in the morning?"

Jack took a deep breath before picking up Essie, "Trouble is an understatement. We had a home invasion last week, with many injured, Sarah killed losing her twins she carried. And my son Amit was taken. So I need you locked and loaded, so I make sure the next time that fucker Lazarus shows up, it will end with him being nothing more than a splatter. He's a clone someone made of me, but heavily auged. So you know what to look for." He said as he began loading the various systems.

Neera looked at Jack worried somewhat, "I still think you need to stay home and rest. You haven't even got close to healing yet."

Sarah returned and offered Jack a pair of pills, which he gladly accepted.

"Killed? She looked pretty tidy for a dead bird." The extremely heavy weapon seemed to come to life once it was picked up. The dull glow from its HONEY PUNCH reactor brightening, other indicators flickering on. "Shoot anyone else with your ugly mug, eh? Got it, luv." The rectangular sides of the firearm suddenly flipped open, revealing two large video screens, with several buttons ringing each. One immediately displayed a large S6 logo, while the other lit up with what was obviously a photo of Jack from his personnel file. It faded to black and white before a large red crosshair was superimposed over it, before the whole thing was obliterated along with the simulated sound of gunfire.

"Oi, the ghost is back already. Should we call someone for that? Flask is fresh out of holy water at the moment, but I can start lookin' up exorcisms if you'd like?" Essex seemed to be fully powered on by now, an animated face with short blonde hair topped with a black and red S6 uniform cap filling the screen Jack's face had been displayed on a moment before. Of course, she was still missing her various ammunitions, since none of the researchers were stupid enough to leave her loaded outside of testing.

"Wonders of ST technology right. Neera please prepare the course for a scenario run, set to assault mode. But, yes he looks like me. Minus the tattoo and scar, make his hair black, and you got a psychotic bastard who carries a energy scythe. But that won't be enough to save him now." Jack said as he finished loading, before walking back out into the corridor followed by the girls and took the short walk to the training chamber. It looked like only an empty room right now, but after a few key strokes on Neera's pad square sections of the floor began to rise to various heights forming everything from tall pillars to low walls.

"Oh, right, you lot need to go through all that hassle, what with all that flesh you insist on cartin' around with you." Her avatar made an exaggerrated shudder before the two panels snapped closed again. "So he's you if you went all goth? Brilliant." She scoffed, voice still emanating from the gun while it was carted to the training area. Once bits of the room began to move, she perked up again...the cylinder of the weapon spinning a few times before clicking back into place, before one of the video screens popped open and twisted into a vertical orientation. It began turning back and forth, displaying an image of her avatar with one hand above her eyes like she was scanning the room. "What's the plan, mate? A little redecorating? Or is this the one where pictures pop up and you scream 'oh my god she shot the baby!' and some bird gets all weepy on me again?"

"Neera, activate AR overlay on my HUD and on Essie's." Jack called as he activated his HUD function on the Geist, his organic irises now glowing red as he was also synched to Essex.

Sarah called back instead, "Urban environment set, happy hunting."

"What have you idiots unleashed?" a voice commented from the doorway.

If they looked to the doorway, they would see the horned and scarred up man there. He wore simple clothes that were torn apart now, though his left eye was still sewed shut and he still bore all the damages he suffered wherever he was from. The man had merely been wandering around when he heard some of the conversation. Though when he looked in, he clearly saw it was a gun talking.

Technology could do some shit now a days but this? Why make a living gun? You're asking for worse troubles than anything. This meant the thing could willing choose to shot ya if it wanted to; and Afton was only further convinced by this due to how the gun was talking.

"If yer wanting to lose marbles by playing 'God', you're at least on the right track." Afton added, glancing toward Jack. "Your marbles are already low, ready to loose some more?"

Oh yes, Afton remembered their odd conversation. How this guy didn't know what marbles was before hand, was a interesting thing. Though they had admitted that their life wasn't easy peasy.

"Oh, joy, now I have to see the world through your eyes. At least there's none of those tarted up scientists for you to drool over this time." Her avatar added a pair of clunky VR goggles, adding a cheap and fake looking polygonal world around her that mimiced the artificial setting they were being dropped into. There was no tactical benefit to this, of course, it just amused her. She didn't notice the newest arrival until he piped in with his opinion.

"Sod off you old tosser!" The screen her avatar was displayed on rotated and angled itself to make sure Afton could see it, before she used two fingers to form a V and perform a rather rude gesture towards him. "Get your bloody horns stuck in a tree you git!" The gun itself seemed to be ready enough, six shots loaded, a fresh battery pack, three grenades, a container of flammable liquid...was there anything they'd missed?

To Jack and Essex, it would appear as if they had been dropped into a city. The first target was an armed man with pistol behind a patrol car.

"Let's go Essie, safeties off." Jack said raising the rifle-sized handgun.

Afton gave a chuckle at how the 'gun' responded to him. The man brushed it off, not the worse thing he'd been called. Seeing as how there was no point in him being him; as well as having been ignored by the other two. He merely waved with his more burnt and sewn together hand, and walked off. A amused smile on his face.

Jack's arm immediately jerked toward the target as Essex corrected his aim, using his finger to squeeze her own trigger. The armor piercing round went through the patrol car, the target, and most of the building behind him before slowing down. "Safeties? My digital conscience is the only safety you've got 'ere. So, ya know, rest easy mate." Her avatar had one hand in a finger gun position, tilting it up to blow smoke away from the tip.
