RP JDTS Stiletto: Maiden Voyage!

"Affirmitive." was the reply back to Conrad. "All right! Teams are as is." She spoke loudly, grabbing all those present. "We have a mission! And we landed in middle of a shitstorm! All teams gear up to include Evac suits! We're repelling borders of a sister ship of the line! Ten minutes people. Meet in shuttle bay for our ride!" With that she downloaded what information she could grab as her troops left the Lounge to gear up.

Aikiko followed as the last left the lounge and followed him to grab her gear and suit up. "Team leaders on me in 5." As she geared up herself, not caring about her modesty as she suited up herself in her specialized gear. She drew one of the standard weapons from the armory to keep things simple incase she need munitions for her weapon.

There was several shuttles in the bay, being prepped for launch and the deck crew was motioning her group to one of the still vacant shuttles that was waiting for them. The team rushed aboard with the her sub-leaders staying near the hatch, yet inside waiting for her to board. She boarded and immediately began her briefing as the hatch closed behind her.

"JDTS Kaguya has boarders on her already. So be aware of whom you're shooting at!" Aikiko grabbed hold a hand grip as the shuttle lifted off, moving towards lauinch egress point. "I don't need to tell you how to do your jobs. Just do it, follow orders, kill the intruders! Sub team 1 take the left side, Sub team 2 take the right." She looked over the assembled in the shuttle left the JDTS Stilletto for the transit across the intervening space.

JDTS Stiletto: Bridge

The ex-Marine froze for a second as the battle came into view, his cybernetic eye twitching slightly. Dang it Matt, that happened years ago. Focus on the now!

“Yes, sir,” the Systems Officer replied to the Admiral, setting the e-war suite to work. He picked one of the default settings he had thought up on the shuttle ride to the ship, rapidly alternating the Dazzle’s anti-gravity and high gravity settings, hopefully frying the enemy’s gravitational based sensors. He kept the miscellaneous lasers, particle beams, directed heat and radar beams, to possibly support the infantry’s advance. Anti-personnel is one of the advertised side-benefits of the system. We’ll see how well that works soon.

"ECM system online, Admiral," Matt said. Let's hope I wasn't too slow...

JDTS Stiletto: Bridge

The battle raged on! The Stiletto moved in close and her massive quad barrel railguns opened up with full fury. "Snap shot on torpedo tubes 4 through 8. Fire." The Admiral said, watching 4 torpedos leave the nose of the ship, and rocket out to strike one of the unknown vessels. The cannons thundered, firing massive projectiles that hammered away at the enemy's shields.

Conrad nodded in approval at Jasper as the CO of the Kaguya came through, appearing on screen. However, it was not the Captain of the vessel. "Sailor, what has befallen Captain Shen?"

A young Jiyu Lieutenant walked into frame. She saluted Conrad. "Sir, the captain perished in the ambush, as well as the XO and most of the experienced bridge crew. I am the acting Captain. Lt. Nagase at your service sir!" The young woman said saluting again.

"I am promoting you to Commander, and placing you in command of the Kaguya. Now give me a sitrep." Conrad replied quickly.

"Thank you sir. When we arrived at the designated coordinates, we were quickly surrounded by these unknown attackers. They opened fire and hit the bridge before they were able to get the ship's defenses up, and boarded us. Lucky the rest of the Escorts dropped in, and beat the ships back. Unfortunately we have boarders." The Commander answered.

"I have my Spec ops units on their way along with some Nepleslian Marines. They should be leaving...now..." he said.

JDTS Stiletto: Launch Bay

The shuttle containing Aikiko and her troops taxied to the catapults. The pilot came over her and the entire team's radios. "Hello ladies, gentlemen, and ugly combat grunts. We are heading into a shit storm so hold on tight." The Pilot switched to talk with the Chief of the Aerospace Group, or CAG. "This Albatross 1-1, flight checks complete, we are go for launch."

"Roger that 1-1. You are clear for launch." The CAG replied.

With that , the catapult released and shoot the first shuttle out into the blackness. "Hold on tight!" The pilot yelled as he fired his jets and banked hard.

"Albatross 1-1, to Albatross flight, follow me in."

JDTS Stiletto: Bridge

"Thank you sir, we will... ared...to...acce..." The transmission cut out.

"Communications, get that feed back up!" Conrad yelled.

Matthew had reacted just in time as a stream of viruses, trojans, malware, and other cyber attacks began flooding in. The warfare sweet was dealing with them as quickly as they came in, but it was starting to get bogged down.

"Chief! Find the source of those cyber attacks. As soon as you find it, designate the target for tactical." Conrad ordered as he watched the battle unfold.

JDTS Stiletto: Bridge

“Yes, sir,” CPO Henderson said, finally in his element as he dealt with the variety of malware that had jumped across space into his computer system. After quarantining the affected subsystems and shutting down the communications array, which was the obvious primary infection point, he started thinking about where the cyber-attack had originated from. Well, the easiest way to get through the firewall would be during some usually trusted operation, like communicating with a boarded friendly ship.

After setting the system to scrub the computer system, starting with communications so they didn’t get too annoyed with him, and starting a diagnostic on the other sensors of the Stiletto, the Systems Officer spoke up. “Admiral?” he said, turning to look at his commanding officer, “I’m working on finding the origin of the cyber-attack. Until I get more data though, the most likely point of origin is the Kaguya , since their systems could be compromised from the opposing boarding party.” If that isn’t it, then I’ve got more work to do.

Albatros 1 (shuttle heading to destination)

Aikiko was pressed against back hatch when the catapult shot them into space, then came the press of the troops that were standing and holding onto the safety straps to keep them in place. Once they was on their way, the troops shifted back to their spot, relieving the pressure on their Neko Leader.

She growled, wiping the slight trickle of blood from her nose where some armor had slammed into it. She wasn't about to show weakness in front of these Neppy troops. She glared at the troop who wore her blood on his pristine armor as a few others gave a slight snicker at her discomfort and her situation. Her eyes roved over the troops, seeing who snickered and who didn't.

Aikiko kept her council for now, letting the troops have their moment before storm. She could see the anticipation in their eyes as they checked their gear and weapons over. She knew she had a crack team with her and let the matter slide of her bloody nose. She should've had her faceplate in place to prevent such a thing happening.

With the comms down, Jasper was having to let the additional support of Henderson carry through to try and break the communications-lockdown. In the meanwhile, he was doing his best to keep comm lines open and up between the remaining ships while looking and checking for the availability of any other method of communicating with their fellow Nepleslian ship. Admittedly, the somewhat unprepared pilot was floundering, but finally found an avenue through flashing in code. Light traveled between the two ships, leading him to flash over at the other ship in the meanwhile until they finally got a proper line re-secured. All it took was the addition of input for the ship to translate any sensored flashback messages, display them for him, and then ultimately lead him to pick apart the battle-induced or interrupted lines and prepare any that came through.

"Utilizing basic strobe-based code communication... still looking for our way back in, sir! It's possible that most of their vital communications have been corrupted by whatever is attacking us, though... if that's the case, we might not have even remotely secure lines if they can be established!"

Stiletto: Bridge

Conrad watched as the battle played out on the display. His escorts were taking a pounding to say the least. Plus he couldn't speak with them... That was until Jasper gave him a work around. "Fantastic work ensign. That is exactly what we need. Signal our escorts to pull back." The Rear Admiral ordered. "Helm, put us in between the enemy ships and the Kaguya."

"Aye aye Sir!" Came the reply.

"Tactical, give me a status report!" Conrad said.

"Sir, we crippled one of their vessels. We are splitting our fire to get the rest to back off." The Tactical officer reported.

"Good, but how many ships are left out there?" Conrad asked.

"There is the one destroyer class vessel that we crippled, plus three more frigate sized vessels sir." He answered.

"Good, keep up the fire." Rear Admiral Armstrong said, then looked at Henderson. "Chief, we have been on the defensive for too long, begin a cyberwarfare attack on those enemy vessels. Drop their shields so we can shell them." he ordered.

Albatross 1-1

The shuttle banked hard to avoid incoming cannon fire, jostling the marines and their Spec Ops commander again. "Hold on back there. Flak is heavy..." As if to add emphasis to the pilot's statement, the shuttle was jostled again. "Alright here we go..." The pilot muttered into his comms as he increased his velocity and the shuttle rocketed into the hanger. He then fired his deceleration thrusters throwing everyone in the back forward. With a thud the shuttle touched down. "Go go go!" The crew chief called as the ramp lowered. The scene was grim. The area was littered with corpses and broken equipment. There were three exits to the hanger, on lead fore, one lead aft, and the exit in between the two lead into the heart of the ship. As the Master Chief took all this in, her other teams and their respective shuttles touched down. "Ma'am. everyone is accounted for. Your orders?" One of the team leaders called.

Kaguya." Albatross 1-1

Aikiko sized up the situation and yelled to the other two leaders of their shuttle complement of troops. "Shuttle 2 take the right exit and help secure engineering section!" Then turned to the other one leader of the 3rd shuttle. "Take your team through the left exit and begin clearing the ship of intruders!"

She turned to her team and smiled, "We go up the middle and hopefully secure the bridge! Lets go!" She gave a glance at the other two teams as they took off for their assigned exit and mission. "

She let one of the Troops take the lead into the middle exit. She followed quickly not to get trampled and to show she was just as good as them.

The teams worked their way into the ship proper, coming upon pockets of the intruders backs and laying waste to them. Giving relief to the Kaquya Defenders and adding their firepower and strength to them at each encounter, leaving behind dead Intruders for farther analyst. Not even sparing those that gave up or too wounded to fight of the Intruders.

It was slow bloody fighting in some spots, others it was breeze through. No mercy asked, none given. With their numbers being strengthened, Aikiko and teams rallied the Kaquya crew and defenders.

“Will do, sir,” Matthew replied with a smile. Score, he thought as he turned to his station. I get to do the fun part of my job. Of course, I don’t get to use my ready-made viruses, since these guys aren’t like anything I’ve seen before.

Oh well, he shrugged, taking over the few secure parts of comms array and pointing it and the e-war suite’s lasers at the largest ship near the Kaguya, specifically a couple of structures that looked like they could be sensors or communication systems. That’s what DDOS attacks are for, he thought, as he pressed the execute button to send a torrent of nonsense data, including Aethersperm songs, at the other ship. Hopefully our culture is caustic enough to cause some real damage. CPO Henderson chuckled at that, going back to cleaning up malware until either his attack got a result or nothing happened. In which case, I’ll have to move on to sending cat videos or something.

Stiletto: Bridge

Jasper smiled at the acknowledged success. The signals went out as they moved, albeit he had to still hope other officers had picked up on the new method of communicating. The orders were relayed with enough ease that as they carried out the cyber-attack and movements, the fleet flowed and moved with the commands of the Rear Admiral. His hands worked fast, his eye fixing to the monitor to read every word. Every... single... word.

"Looks like the others are ready for commands, sir! I've got confirmation that the rest of the ships and the Kaguya understand and are reading our relayed messages with roughly eighty-percent efficiency due to the disturbances in nearby space!"

JDTS Stiletto: Bridge

Matthew's DDOS attack worked well. The enemy ships were being bombarded with senseless information that slowed down the ship's processing powers. Aethersperm songs were being blasted over the comms of the ship and there was nothing they could do to stop it...

Jasper's suggestion was sound, and Conrad took advantage. The admiral nodded to him. "Signal the escorts to begin pincer maneuvers. Send it in code, or else the enemy will know what we are doing too." He added

Kaguya:

Aikiko's teams all split up towards their specified areas. Her team ran straight up the middle and encountered the enemy. They were all wearing black power armor of unknown type, but they appeared to be humanoid in appearance. Her team caught them by surprise, as they were trying to fight their way through the battered Kaguya defense force. There were 14 enemy soldiers caught between her and the Kaguya defenders.

The tide of battle was shifting rapidly in the JDT's favor... but could they keep their advantage?

Kayuya

She let the troops go to reign hell open the enemy as she followed behind to snipe with well aimed shots from her Daisy Power armor, tearing into enemy. She recorded the enemy power armor and the battle they joined against the 14 enemy. Her team tore into the enemy with pleasure to show how a True Nepleslian Soldier fought. Aikiko let them have their way to see what they could do and add her precision fire into the fray. She wanted intel

With a quick radio broadcast to her teams and other teams through out the ship. "Do your best to capture one of these power armors. But don't worry about it if that is not possible. At least get one that mostly intact. For intelligence weenies to work on later."

JDTS Stiletto: Bridge

Letting the e-war suite continue its informational barrage, Matthew turned his attention over to Jasper’s signal system. Ehh, I’ve seen worse, he thought, looking at the light code he was sending. We’ll have to set up a better system after this is over.

Making a note for later, the CPO went back to work, fortifying the virtual defenses around the strobe lights and then tightening and directing their light, to be visible to their fellow Nepleslian ships and keep their enemies, whoever they are, in the dark. Literally.

Kayuya

Fighting gotten fierce as the element of surprise wore off about the re-enforcement. Each passing moment under the onslaught of two forces, the enemy began to spread out to cause as much damage to the Kayuya while defenders and reinforcement hunted them down. Those of the enemy that surrendered were quickly stripped of their armor and weapons and bound. Then shoved to a collection point to be held under the watchful eyes of their guards.

Aikiko and team were whittled down a few of their numbers by the time they had secured the bridge and bolstered the bridge security before returning to the hunt of the remaining enemy aboard the Kayuya.

The enemy began to abandon their heavy bulky armor for the tighter narrower passageways and corridors. Even into the maintenance crawlways. Aikiko hated this moment as she was forced to leave her Daisy Power Armor to ply her trade as an EOD Specialist in defusing the enemy power armor self destruct mechanism and to remove the explosive charges. Even the booby-traps that now enemy that knew their time of freedom coming to an end.

The troops that she was with began to really respect her as she defused a lot of bombs before they could claim limbs and lives. She and two assigned troops moved with her through the ship making sure the secured area was free of explosives that could bite the Kayuya in the arse if left alone.

"Y-Yes sir!" It had come out a bit startled, though not due to any sort of fright at the commander's voice, but as his mind tried to wrack possible codes. They only needed their code to stand up and hold out for a few minutes... which meant that he could do something extra basic. A quick rearranging of the order of the words, followed by the amount of flashes in a row to indicate how to change the order of the entire sentence. Extremely basic and messy, but it'd hold long enough to ensure the fleet's commands weren't deciphered until it was too late. The flashing went out, even as Jasper turned his eyes toward the display. The ships had begun to move... and the lack of their opponents trying to outmove the formation shift made it clear that it had worked... he just had to hope they still hadn't caught the new system of communication and that all the ships had truly read the orders right. With how explosive everything was, it was possible that even the slightest word was left out of the messages could completely change the intent of them.

JDTS Stiletto: Bridge

Conrad watched as the allied escorts moved and out flanked one of the enemy ships, placing it in a pincer movement. Caught in between the attacks from the escorts and the heavy railguns of the Stiletto. In no time at all the ship was torn to ribbons. The second enemy ship ran for it, turning and making a break for it. "Comm! Signal the escorts to follow that ship, don't destroy it. I want to know where they are coming from." He ordered. "Systems, help the Kaguya get her systems back up." He then looked to the helmsman. "Moves us into position alongside of the Kaguya and deploy reinforcements. The Spec ops boys and girls probably could use a hand in the mop up operation." He added.

Kaguya:

Aikko and her troops fought valiantly against the enemy combatants. As she had finished diffusing the last of the explosives, the Rear Admiral radioed her. "Master Chief, Stiletto Actual, I am sending troops to bolster your forces. ETA: 2 minutes. Enemy ships have been routed. We got a status report from the Kaguya's Captain. Fantastic work. Get everything settled and get back here ASAP for debrief.

JDTS Stiletto: Bridge

“Yes, sir,” Systems Officer Henderson said, opening a few of the communication array’s cleaned ports and sending a few feelers out to the wounded ship, the first message being sent was the successful version of the anti-virus software.

Well, we’re at the least fun part of the battle, the clean up. And now I’m in charge? Yeesh. He shrugged anyway and got to work. Someone’s got to do it, he thought, as he started directing damage control teams to the few dings the Stiletto had received and sending the rest of them over to the Kaguya.

::Kaguya::

Aikiko leaned against the bulkhead near her Daisy Power armor and watched the remainder of her teams appear and assemble giving their reports to their team leaders. "Acknowledged," She responded back to the Admiral. Turning to her troops, "Get two of those power armors ready for the return to the Stiletto. We're getting reinforcements. Good job men." She gave them one of her rare smiles and climbed into her Daisy and sealed it up. Leaving the faceplate clear. She moved through the ship getting in touch with her Kaguya Liaison.

"Stiletto is sending reinforcements and techs. Their ETA is two minutes." Aikiko spoke with the Liaison when she caught up with him.

"Nice work. My Captain was impressed with the skill you and your teams have shown. I'll relay the message up to the Captain or Senior Officer in charge." He turned away and made the necessary transmissions. "What should we do with the prisoners?"

"I'd space them. But we need intelligence on these." Aikiko spoke as she looked over at the prisoners confined into an area as the Liaison gave a soft snicker and a nod in agreeing with her.

"I know what you mean. Solution?" He asked her. Giving her the eye at the bloodthirstiness she had displayed.

"Those willing to talk, keep. those that don't...." Aikiko spoke drawing her hand across her throat.

"Aahhh.." Liaison spoke nodding. "I'm sure we have some babble juice to get the most reluctant to speak..."

Aikiko nodded again taking a look around her taking count of the troops that survived. They had faired better than she expected they would. A lot of them were wounded and being patched up under the watchful eyes of their team leader. A few were stretched out in body bags laying there awaiting the return to the Stiletto.

"Put the remains on Shuttle three. Enemy armor on shuttle two for the return." Aikiko gave the orders to a few grumbles about her and she responded. "Damn spanky. R H I P! Live with it." She paid her dues just like the rest of them. They knew the deal and drove on.

JDTS Stiletto: Bridge

"Aye aye!" Jasper moved his hands carefully to the console to relay the orders. His vision was fixed on the screen, trying his best to accurately signal and relay the commands in the workaround. It was very odd that the enemy formation had done so poorly the instant the Stiletto arrived, but if they were too good then the admiral wouldn't get what he wanted! Conrad had deemed they needed to follow this scum... and as such, the friendly formation would receive orders to loosen the attack and prepare for pursuit.

"Orders relayed... just to hope our enemies don't figure out what we're up to..."
