♫ Mandy Moore - I Wanna Be With You

Only a few weeks before, Kasumi had signed up for the randomized matchmaking service, sponsored directly by the Yamataian government and available for all who had access to a SYNC connection, regardless of whether or not they had a Yamataian citizenship. Kasumi had known that there was a small chance that she could match with a non-Yamataian citizen, and indeed she had. The woman she had matched with was a Nepleslian. Kasumi had only read as much about Ivy Dantès as had been provided in the matching database, which was not much, aside from a headshot. However, the woman's height had caught her attention, especially in comparison to her own. Quite simply, Ivy was gigantic, and even with her digital mind, Kasumi struggled to visualize how the woman would look standing next to her.

Before she left the barracks, Kasumi had spent no small amount of time on refining her appearance, especially her hair. The hairstyle that she wore took advantage of natural volume and length of the white hair she possessed, manipulated in a lifted and voluminous style with bangs that ended just over her eyebrows. In combination with her favorite burgundy red lip color, the hairstyle gave her an especially sultry visage. Her clothing was somewhat formal, but not lacking in casual flare. She wore a blue skater skirt which came up to her upper thighs, perfectly matched with black leggings under it and blue platform heels that raised her height by six inches, enough to bring her up to just over a respectable five feet tall. The skirt was topped by a white top with a plunging neckline, and a black cape blazer over it.

The designated meeting place was a simple bench, in the middle of a clearing in a park far enough outside of Kyoto city limits that the pair would be afforded a good deal of solace, for the time being.

Kasumi arrived first, only a few minutes early. She took a few cursory glances at her surroundings, a few small trees and perfectly cut grass, allowing her to walk comfortably over it, even with high heels on.

Kasumi would be left alone those few minutes, but just as it was time for the two to meet- on the dot- the red-headed amazon came into view.
In truth she had actually shown up a good half hour early to take a good look around the park, given she had never actually been to a majority of Kyoto she figured it'd be a good time to take a look around.
She was, at least, mindful of time and was polite enough to be punctual with her arrival to the conveniently 'mostly' private bench.

Unlike Kasumi she didn't appear to be 'dressed-up' for the date, at least not to the level of care that the Neko had taken. She wore the very same sweater she always wore over a pair of tight fitting black dress pants that hugged her hips just enough to show them off, but not so much that she'd have trouble walking. Her hair was brushed, but lazily tied up into a side ponytail that hung limply over her shoulder. However, much like Kasumi she did have a lovely shade of crimson lipstick applied carefully to her lips.

Ivy's eyes flicked over the Neko in a quick, but cold and analytical fashion- before her expression warmed and relaxed, "Nice hair." She offered in that oddly girlish voice of hers.

As Ivy came into view, Kasumi's green eyes widened considerably, taking in the woman's wide hips, which gave her a feminine and pear-shaped bodily profile, not too unlike Kasumi's figure. Her eyes also wandered towards her crimson-painted lips, which were of a lighter shade than Kasumi's lip color. In spite of the large woman's oddly girlish tone, Kasumi's expression remained impassive, as was habit for the white-haired Nekovalkyrja.

"Thank you." She answered in a manner not unlike that of a feminine artificial intelligence. "My name is Ozaki Kasumi, by the way. I presume that you are Ivy Dantès, correct?" Kasumi said in a polite, but monotonous tone as she crossed her legs demurely.

"Uh-huh, you've assumed correctly." Ivy responded with a nod as she plopped herself down onto the bench. Upon a little bit of a closer inspection several not-quite-healed bruises would be quite visible, especially to someone like Kasumi, who was thoroughly accustomed to the pristine standards of Yamataian beauty.

The red-head rolled her shoulders back as she settled in beside the Neko, turning her body so that she could comfortably turn her head down to look Kasumi, "This is a pretty nice spot, huh?- I hadn't quite expected such, er, we'll say 'privacy'. I sorta expected the place to be packed. 'Course, I don't get 'round to Yamatai too very often." She said with a shrug in an attempt to start conversation.

It was only when Ivy took a seat next to her did the astonishing size discrepancy between herself and the Nepleslian woman become disturbingly apparent. Quite simply, Ivy's waist was about as wide as Kasumi's hips, perhaps slightly larger. There was no doubt in her mind that Ivy was perhaps almost three times Kasumi's weight, a thought that brought a considerable level of exhilartion to Kasumi as she quietly considered the implications of such a size discrepancy, especially in the context of physical intimacy.

In spite of the amorous thoughts circling within her head, Kasumi's expression remained calm and eerily polite.

"I love the privacy as well." Kasumi began as she straightened her posture. "I know that we can speak with less effort, without the discordant noises of the city interrupting our conversation. Anyways, as I said before, my name is Ozaki Kasumi. I am an infantrywoman, enlisted within the Star Army of Yamatai. I enjoy ice-skating, basketball, and a few other athletic activites." She spoke calmly, stating the aspects of herself that she thought relevant to the conversation and the development of her relationship with the larger woman. "I was created on New Vicky, less than a year ago, but I have already seen brief deployment on a starship." She paused, as if to consider telling the woman more, but quickly deciding against it.

"Tell me about yourself, Ivy." She finished in a courteous tone.

Kasumi's strangely, though perhaps not really //that// strange, polite tone was not lost on Ivy, but she did do a tremendous job of staying relaxed, "I'm a... self-employed Private Investigator. Nothing quite as fancy as being a part of the all-powerful Star Army of Yamatai, but it pays the bills and I get shot at a little less than I did in my last job." She explained with a playful tone, "I, uh, well- I'm forty-five. Though you should already know that, at least. I'm partial towards athletic 'activities', but I'm a big..." She paused for a second, "...reader."

Ivy had a few dirty thoughts directed at the much smaller woman beside her, but that was fairly commonplace within her head so she didn't let it distract her too very much.

"I don't suppose there's anything in particular you want to know? I very rarely talk about myself."

"You certainly do not look a day over thirty-five." Kasumi commented in response to Ivy's statement regarding her age. Even so, the appearance of aged features was an extremely rare sight in Yamataian society. For the most part, the outward display of age was a voluntary choice on the part of the individual. However, she imagined that Ivy's vigorous and youthful appearance was also the product of rejuvenation treatments.

"I think I would like to start with your hobbies." Kasumi answered calmly. "Perhaps we can find a common activity to enjoy together, after our discussion." She suggested in a thoughtful manner.

"My hobbies, huh? Well, to be entirely truthful with you I work //a lot//. When Im not working I tend to relax a lot- but plenty of time is so spent training and such, don't want to let myself go dull." She tapped her chin, trying to give a hobby other than 'drinking', because a majority of her time was spent doing just that, "I, uh, also really enjoy coffee and, ah, baking- on occasion." She shrugged with a half-grin, "Anything catch your interest?"

The larger woman leaned down just a tad, yet again shifting in place to remain comfortable.

Kasumi herself was initially unsure how to answer Ivy's inquiry, as well. She never needed coffee, since she could make her body stay awake for three days before facing impairment. There was no reason for her to drink a bitter-tasting beverage when she could take a six-hour rest and operate at full capacity for the next three days.

"I train quite a bit as well, as a part of my occupation, but Yamataian starships and living facilities are normally well equipped to accomodate a variety of activities off-duty. I mentioned this before, but I play basketball frequently, and you are quite a tall woman." Kasumi spoke with particular emphasis on the word 'quite'. "Has anyone ever approached you to play it?"

"Oh, sure, plenty when I was younger! I played quite a bit of basketball back when I was a contractor- it's been an awfully long time since then though. Not many of the people I hang around these days are interested in basketball." Ivy explained, "I was usually picked up pretty quick just for that reason!" She let out a soft giggly snort, the question really seemed to amuse her!

"Is a game of basketball your ideal date, Kasumi?"

Athough her lips never upturned, her eyes squinted and upturned, producing an expression that clearly conveyed pleasure, although in a restrained and disciplined manner.

"I can agree that proposal, although I fear for embarassing myself, as there exists a vast dimension between our respective heights." She spoke calmly. "However, I am not averse to losing or even humilating myself, as long as I am having fun, and you are having fun as well. So yes, Ivy, that type of date is quite agreeable to me." Kasumi finished, the same restrained but pleased expression marking her features as she spoke.

"Uh, well, I was sorta joking- neither of us are really dressed to go play basketball." She laughed, "That might be better planned for the future." If there was one beyond this first date, "Unless you happened to have brought a change of clothes we might be better off doing something else. I do recall you mentioning that you enjoyed skating- or we could even just go for a walk." The red head suggested.

Ivy didn't want to come across as rude, but she didnt think basketball would go too well for that poor girl and that massive hair of hers.

"Oh." Kasumi responded softly when Ivy mentioned their state of dress. "My apologies, I often lose sight of obvious facets when deep in conversation." Kasumi answered. As she spoke, her expression remained impassive, but the surge of crimson blush on her cheeks was quite obvious, especially given her slightly pink-toned skin.

In spite of the flat expression that Kasumi maintained throughout almost the entirety of the interaction, the white-haired Neko had obscene things on her mind that she dared not mention in front of Ivy, for fear of compromising the integrity of her fledgling relationship with the massive Nepleslian. Even so, Kasumi was set on the seven-foot tall woman, almost to the point of naive obsession.

Kasumi shifted restlessly in her seat, before simply opting to stand up instead.

"Upon reconsideration, I think a simple walk would be most pleasing, Ivy."

"Fair enough then, a walk it is then." She nodded before moving to her feet, easily towering over Kasumi even with her oversized heels and large hair. The effort to make herself appear taller seemed to amuse the red-head by the way her smile grew, but she didn't mention it out loud. In a way she sort of appreciated the effort- it meant the little Neko cared enough to put in the extra effort. Plus, it was super adorable.

"You're the local, care to lead the way?" Ivy motioned with her hand off in front of them. She didn't expect them to get lost within the park, but perhaps it would make Kasumi feel important.

"Certainly, Ivy." Kasumi said as she walked alongside, but slightly ahead of the taller woman.

The walk began in silence, as Kasumi took in the environment around her, and the faint scent of the woman she was with. The birds were singing a strong and rhythmic tune, and she could detect the notes of a few genetically-modified ones, tuned specifially to sing a song that made musical sense and was melodic to the Yamataian and Nepleslian ear. Rarely did anything prompt a positive facial expression from Kasumi, but the birdsongs were enough to do so. However, it only brought the same disciplined, eyes-only smile that she had worn before.

"Do you hear the birds, Ivy?" She asked softly, her eyes upturning to form an innocent and wide-eyed expression.

Ivy bent her neck to look down at Kasumi, before nodding, "I do certainly hear the birds, it'd be a lil' hard not to! They sound lovely." She responded softly, so as not to ruin the birdsong with her usual loud voice. The red-head very rarely heard anything so pleasant, but such was life when you spent the majority of your life in space or within dirty cities.

"I really should make a point to visit Yamatai more often." She noted.

"I hope you have a reason to come here more often, after this." Kasumi answered demurely. "Perhaps, I will have a reason to visit Nepleslia as well..." She spoke, her voice trailing off, in a contemplative manner, before another brief pause passed between the two women as Kasumi listened for the birdsongs as well.

"If you do not mind my inquiry, what motivation or...impulse perhaps, made you sign up for the matching program? Was it a desire for something new and unexpected or a latent anxiety, perchance?"

Oh boy, Ivy had been expecting that question- but she was hoping it wouldn't be asked, despite how unlikely she realized that hope was, "Well, to be entirely frank with you- I thought it was about time I was a little more active in my search for something, or rather someone, that I could look forward to seeing," She started, "it gets awfully tiresome having to put on a fake face, or avoiding people altogether. I imagine you don't really experience anything like that in your day to day life, but it really puts a drain on ya."

"Long story short, this sorta thing is very refreshing-To put it in simple terms."

Kasumi found the answer to be satisfying, but it was not something that she could relate to directly. Although, she did not think that she would have much in common with a woman fourty-five years her senior. However, Ivy possessed a confidence and social grace that Kasumi had found explicitly lacking in the Nekovalkyrja of her same mental age that she had dated and made love to before. In simple terms, her manner was refreshing and stimulating in a way that none before had made her feel.

"You wanted to be more proactive in your life, and to more honestly express your emotions..." Kasumi spoke, as if to commity her thoughts to digital memory. "Well, to state my own circumstances, my mission was one of self-improvement. I imagine that you have already figured this out on your own, but I have difficulty expressing my emotions, especially in an outward manner. In the few times that I have done so, I have embarassed myself through a loss of...control. I think that the best way for me to improve my social skills are to meet people who are radically different from myself, so as to build empathy and emotional maturity." She spoke in a wistful and pensive tone, her green eyes staring up at Ivy as she walked.

"Nekovalkyrja socialization training is often not enough." Kasumi stated in a decisive and strangely confident tone.

"Well, there aren't a whole lotta people who talk and act the way you do, 'least not in Nepleslia. I respect that though! Nothin' wrong with trying to make yourself better, and hell if going on a few dates is what helps you acomplish that then I'd be glad to help." Ivy offered with raised eyebrows, "I don't have a whole hell of a lot of room to be judgemental towards being over-emotional. Been there, done that." She casually admitted with another shrug.

It was pretty easy for Ivy to see that the two had wildly different personalities, they were almost opposites in a lot of ways, but that'd just make things more interesting- which was precisely what the red-head was looking for anyway. A standard, boring relationship would be unlikely to hold onto her attention for anything other than a fling and that wasn't what she was looking for this time around. There were plenty of those waiting around just about every corner, especially when you were as good an actor as she was.

"Nothin' like first hand experience, beats formal training in a lot of ways. 'Socialization' training might be good for formal customs and traditions, but it isn't going to help you out with the outliers or the unpredictable."

For the first time that day, Kasumi let a full and toothy smile cross her features, a genuine one, rather than the disciplined and restrained 'eyes-only smile' that she did unconsciously when she was just happy. If anything, it conveyed a great deal of positive emotion, perhaps even Kasumi's growing giddy obsession with Ivy.

"To speak candidly Ivy, I think this was a perfect match..." She spoke softly, but there was a latent but slightly audible purr in her voice that hinted at a burgeoning infatuation and intimacy. Kasumi had quickly crossed the wide divide between impassive and emotionless to ecstatic and fevered, and she had not even spoken to Ivy for thirty minutes.

The much smaller woman stopped walking, her face turning an almost unhealthy shade of red as she inhaled and exhaled deeply, in an effort to calm herself down. It was a futile effort, as her emotions were already simmering under the pot cover, and it seemed like it was about to fly off...

Ivy seemed to find the shade of red that the little white-haired Neko was turning awfully amusing, because her smile turned into a smirk. She always did enjoy it when people, especially women, managed to get themselves flustered, "I'm going to have to agree, I think this was a very good match."

One of the larger woman's hands rested itself on Kasumi's shoulder in an attempt to help her calm down a little, she wasn't entirely sure herself on how to help the Neko not explode as it seemed she was pretty close to doing just that. Ivy wasn't entirely sure what that would entail but nor was she sure if that would be an entirely bad thing or not.

"You alright?- you're lookin' a little flushed there, Kasumi." She teased.

"Ohhhhhhh!", Kasumi spoke in an uncharacteristically peppy tone, as she sought to collect herself. In spite of her efforts, the crimson blush covering her cheeks did not dissipate, nor did her heavy breathing patterns. "I uhh...well...I...need..." She stammered and tripped over her words like a nervous teenager. Once again, another thing that she never did.

Just as Ivy placed her hands on Kasumi's shoulders, the little Neko seemed to take it as an invitation to press herself close to the much larger woman and to wrap her arms around her. Of course, the height discrepancy prevented their lips from being close, unless Ivy bent over or lifted Kasumi. However, if Kasumi had done that with a much smaller individual, then almost certainly, her mouth would have been close enough to her partner's to feel their breathing.

"I...this is much better...I...Ivy..." Kasumi sputtered out, as her arms tightened around Ivy's torso.

"I...I would like to kiss you."

Speaking of the unpredictable, Ivy really hadn't expected for Kasumi to do such a one-eighty so quickly. It was almost like Kasumi was another person by the way she was acting now. The Neko wasn't kidding when she said her emotions got out of control when she didn't keep them in check, and apparently she had already let her guard down.

The larger woman was visibly surprised, but her casual, easy-going nature took back over just as quickly.

"Sure." She agreed, before she bent almost all the way over to press a gentle peck on the Neko's lips. It wasn't a particularly passionate kiss, just a quick, but sweet one. The larger woman lingered nearby in case the kiss she had given wasn't quite enough for Kasumi, as she seemed to be quite //bothered//

The kiss was simple and sweet, but it certainly was not enough for the already obssessed Neko, letting out a short and girlish cry, when Ivy retracted her lips from Kasumi's.

"More please?" Kasumi said demurely, her hands locking in front of her chest in a position not unlike that of a beggar's.

Ivy let out a soft snort, but nodded, "Maybe we should find a place to sit." She suggested as she grabbed Kasumi's hand and stood back upright. The larger woman was not about to spend more than a few seconds bending over like that because a woman she just met wanted more kisses- even if she already liked Kasumi.

"Point out a spot!"

"Ummm...yes...I...I think I can wait until then..." Kasumi spoke, as her breathing patterns began to slow.

"But...but...ummm...I might have a better idea...what about a hotel room?"

"Fair enough." Ivy shrugged for the umpteenth time, "Let's go find a hotel room."
