Incoming Crew Transfer Shuttle

Brown almond shaped eyes scanned the seats and other occupants of their owner's flight, wishing to ask where everyone was from or going; but she kept quiet having just recently gotten in trouble for talking too much about a certain kind of eight inch worm she once dissected. Not that the young scientist truly said to much, and neither did anyone actually tell her to stop; however, there were certain signs of discomfort when she got to the dimensions of the specimen, where she supplemented her description with hand gestures. In hindsight Chieko found the reaction rather humorous - especially once she realized what else could fit the size description she gave - and smiled on the inside, while trying not to show it too much on the outside.

When the announcement came that they were nearing the YSS Eucharis, the young Minkan sighed and brushed her raven-black hair back before relaxing more in her seat. Only a few minutes were left before she would be up on her feet again and Chieko wanted to savour them relaxed - especially since she would be meeting a princess today. The scientist heaved another sigh at that thought too; she wondered how exactly she would need to act around her new commanding officer and whether nobility or military concerns came first.

YSS Eucharis Bridge

"Away Team 1, this is Eucharis actual. Please return to the Eucharis," Hanako transmitted (audio) the team. "It looks like the other ships in the squadron have been generous in their contributions of firepower," she added. "Luckily we are also going to benefit from some crew reinforcements so that next infantry mission we will have some more team members. Once Team 2 returns, we can call it a day."

Next, Hanako called the other shuttle, which was carrying the new crew members. "Eucharis here: You have permission to land in the shuttle bay."

Incoming Crew Transfer Shuttle

"Copy that Eucharis. Proceeding to Shuttle Bay."

Chieko's eyes had opened when she heard the permission given from the Eucharis and sharply breathed in, exhaling in a sigh when the pilot gave her response. The young scientist then checked to make sure her duffel was still hooked onto the rack above her, where she left it. She then looked over at the door and whomever was between it and her to calculate how long it may take to disembark, at which point the shuttle bay doors had opened and her ride started in.

the academic soldier's legs vibrated with equal parts excitement and nervousness as she looked around one more time, before brushing her hair back and heaving another sigh. When the shuttle finally made contact, the young woman waited until the ok was given to stand, at which point she undid her restraints, fixed her uniform, and extracted her duffel from its stowed location. When the doors opened, Chieko suddenly found herself having to kick a thought of reservation before the disembarkation began.

Re: [Mission 19.2A] Evidence (HX-12 II NMX Base)

It had been nearly a year since Armundo last saw the Eucharis. His request for additional training had been processed with great efficiency..almost too efficiently, but never the less, it was a great opportunity to lean skills that would make him a actual asset to the ship and crew, rather then a convenient commodity.

To say that he was nervous on his approach to the ship was..not exactly accurate..especially since his head was lolled back in his seat, mouth open as he snored gently, a bit of drool gathering at the corner of his mouth. Nervous and anxious were two words that were not readily used when describing Armundo. There were very few things that could shake his continence and this was not one of them.

As the shuttle landed with a gentle thud, the great Nepleslian would sit up, rubbing his red eyes as they opened, blinking a few times. He was slouched forward in his seat, his long legs sticking out into the aisle a bit. Groggily, he unfastened his restraints and stood up. The cabin resounded with a hollow THUD, as Armundo's head met with a chromed carrying case located under his duffel bag, knocking his hat clean off his head

""Gahouwch ! cried he, rubbing his dark haired head vigorously, feeling a knot forming on his skull. It was the same sad tale of a tall Nepleslian serving in a navy made for those who were generally shorter then he "" Jheeez." he added, a tear forming at the edge of his eye as he reached up, pulling duffel back and slightly dented metal case from the overhead storage.

Making his way off the shuttle, he replaced his hat gingerly, waddling his way slowly out in unison with the others. He wasn't sure how he wanted to feel about returning to his old ship..and as a Medic no less. He would certainly be a more integral part of the ship now..though part of him hoped that his new skill set wouldn't be desperately needed anytime soon...

Eucharis Power Armor Bay

Hanako went down to the bay to greet the new arrivals, standing on the other side of the air-containment force-field watching the shuttles get settled in. Once the bay was closed and the atmosphere was restored, she walked over to the closer shuttle and was there as its hatch opened.

"Welcome back, Armundo," the Shosho smiled, giving the soldier a friendly hug. "And you must be Chieko?" she asked, looking to the green-shirt.

Chieko's neck snapped around at the sound of a blunt impact to see the large man babying his head. She bit her lips together, trying not to laugh, as she made her way out the door. Before the young Minkan could get another look at the hulking male however, Hanako came into view.

The scientist noticed the hair first, then the panels, then the rank, at which point she was out of the way with her duffel down. She was surprised when Hanako gave Armundo a hug; but when addressed, Chieko bowed the deepest she possibly could. "Hai, Shosho," she responded on the way down, "Santo Hei Koizumi Chieko de gozaimasu. Yoroshiku onegai itashimasu."

Chieko is using the basic polite introduction phrases modified with humble language to denote her much lower rank as a way to give respect to Hanako.

Shuttle-Bay

As the shuttle touched down in the bay of the Eucharis, Misato took the helmet off of her Mindy. Popping her neck she stood and opened the hatch. The fire in her chest was still burning growing hotter by the second, fueled by the coal of her own perceived failings.

She was fighting the urge to throw the helmet across the shuttle bay, when she saw the new crew members, one looked familiar but the other was truly new. Misato debated if she should go over and greet them to the ship. After a moment she walked over and studied the newest of the two.

"Hello, welcome to the ship..." Her face was fighting to find a smile, but all it could find a slightly lessen scowl. "I hope you enjoy your stay..."

Armundo's heels came together sharply as the Shosho came into view. When addressed, his first instinct was to bow deeply. However, he realized just in time that the Shosho's greeting was to be a bit more informal. Due to this face, Armundo had to quickly stop himself from bowing and, subsequently, headbutting the Shosho..a definite breach in protocol.

"Uh...Th-thank you, Ma'am." he said, watching as she moved onto the next recruit. He was approached again as another unrecognized member of the crew appeared before him, offering a greeting with a slight scowl. Armundo returned the greeting a bit sheepishly "Hehehe..I p-plan to, thank you." he said, his Yamataian clear, but still colored with his Nepleslian accent.,something he'd be unlikely to ever rid himself of completely.

Goodness, one hug and a scowl in the same minute. Armundo replaced his hat on his head, turning it so the band was facing outward. He was wearing the light blue patches of a medic this time around, rather then the yellow of some cook.

Shuttle bay

Sune exited the shuttle, looked around saw Hanako talking to some unfamiliar faces.

He turned to the others of the team, "Okay folks, stow your armor in the racks and secure your weapons in the armory. No real need for a debriefing from this descent. We will see if the Shôshô wants to debrief the first trip. Until then you are on your own recognizance."

He walked over crossed to the rack, and back into it. Once the armor was secured he opened it and climbed out. He took out his boots and other items from the locker and put them on. Lastly he carried his rifle over to the armory and put it in the appropriate rack.

Shuttle Bay

After walking off of the Chatoyancy Bors made his way to PA bay to get out of his armor and await the debrief. Out of the corner of his eye he caught Misato talking to someone he had never seen before, and a Nepleslian to boot.

"What are the Greens just shipping us off the planet now?" He said to himself putting his armor and weapon away in their proper places before heading off to his cabin.

Re: [Mission 19.2A] Evidence (HX-12 II NMX Base)

Shuttle Bay

Mitsuko parked the shuttle, powering it down and ensuring everything was in proper shape after their trips. This caused her to lag behind the others a bit, but soon enough she exited the shuttle as well. Her helmet was also quickly removed, mainly so she could rub at her sore neck. The Neko winced, letting out a soft grunt of discomfort. She wasn't in the mood to welcome the newest pair of crew members, moving to secure her armor after Sune spoke.

She kept an eye on her roommate. Murakami wasn't exactly sure how today had truly affected Misato, but her emotions seemed about as scrambled as Mitsuko's own. Hopefully they could just head back to their cabin to recover from the long day.

Re: [Mission 19.3]

Shuttle Bay

Admiral Hanako returned Chieko's bow with a short one. "Welcome aboard," she greeted, and then took up a stern stance waiting for the salutes that Chieko and Armundo both owed her. It was tradition, after all.

Meanwhile Victory came trotting up to Sune, tossing him a cold can of citrus soda as she closed on him. "Hey Chusa, how's the team? Do you need anything?" As she stood in front of Sune she lifted herself up on her toes and craned her neck to get a look at some of the new faces through the chaotic-looking activity of armor-doffing.

Re: [Mission 19.3]

Chieko made her way back up then took a second to remember, then her hand shot up into a salute. "I humbly report for duty, Shosho," she called out in her best Yamataian, while inside, the scientist could only admonish herself for the oversight. She also wanted to thank the others for their greetings, but she figured it would be best to deal with only one misstep at a time.

Re: [Mission 19.3]

Armundo would go through with his traditional greeting, only this time opting to salute. Bowing and saluting were sometimes mixed with him at time " Armundo Soichiro, reporting for duty Taiiii--Shosho." he replied, catching himself just in time. He had heard tale of her promotion, but was so used to calling her Taisa from before..He knew he was going to make that mistake soon, he just knew it.

At least it would be a better sight then having to replace a entire grill top like last time....

Re: [Mission 19.3]

Shuttle Bay

Sune watched the members of his team, Mitsuko and Bors seemed to be okay, but Misato's body language was off. After grabbing his personal items and putting them on he walked over to her.

"Suzume-San, join me in the Wardroom in a few minutes. I would like to talk to you regarding the earlier mission." Sune said at a volume where only she could hear it.

He then walked out of the bay and launched himself into the zero g corridor.

Wardroom
Once Sune entered the wardroom he walked over and made himself a cup of green tea and sweetened it. He then walked over to one of the side tables and waited.

Re: [Mission 19.3]

Shuttle Bay

Misato nodded to Sune and left to go strip and change out of her warrior garb into her uniform. She was worried why he wanted to talk to her. she knew she had failed and almost killed the team. Maybe he was going to send her off ship, for retraining.

She didn't look at anyone else as she put on her uniform and buckled her pistol belt on, she left the sword there by her Mindy. If she was shipped off maybe the next to use the PA could use the sword to protect the crew better.

Re: [Mission 19.3]

Shuttle Bay

Victory scrambled after the rolling soda can trying to retrieve it after it bounced off Sune's chest.

Hanako returned the salutes. "Soichiro-Hei, you will be in Cabin 5 with Hightower-Hei. Koizumi-Hei, you will be in Cabin 6 with Sienna, who is a civilian refugee staying aboard for the time being. Go ahead and get your things unpacked then go around and meet your fellow crew members."

Re: [Mission 19.3]

Shuttle Bay

Mitsuko was thrilled to get out of her armor. She hoped she wouldn't have to use the Mindy again for a long time. Nothing good seemed to happen when its use was required. She noticed Sune ignoring Victory to speak to Misato, and couldn't help but worry. Once her Mindy was stowed, she moved to assist her fellow Logistics Neko, although by then the can had likely been recovered.

"Thanks for coming to welcome us back, Victory. It's just...been a long day." It was hard to be reassuring, in her current mood. "Is everything okay here?" Mitsuko gestured around her, at the ship in general...spotting something out of place at that moment. Misato had left her sword behind. She'd have to retrieve it and return it to its proper place in their cabin.

Re: [Mission 19.3]

Chieko bowed again in thanks, but when she came back up she wondered. "Shosho, are there any special considerations I should keep in mind in regard to my new cabin mate?" she asked, "Outside of her being a civilian, of course." The scientist had been a civilian right up until about a year ago, so that was not the issue. Her concern hung on what Sienna would be like due to the situation that brought her to seek asylum - she had seen enough of the variability in the camps during and after the Battle of Yamatai and wanted a clue as to what to expect.

Re: [Mission 19.3]

Shuttle Bay

"I am still figuring her out, myself. You will have to, too," Hanako replied to Chieko, raising her eyebrows. She turned to welcome Sune back but he had already left the armor bay.

Victory handed the soda can to Mitsuko. "Things have been fine on the ship. I got to get this shuttle back to the Firebird and get this transfer one launched again," Victory told Mitsuko before rushing off into the Chatoancy's cockpit. "Clear the shuttle bay," she announced on the loudspeaker as the ship began sucking the atmosphere out of it.
