"Oh I doubt I will be sent away." she smiled at Mitsuko, "More likely I'll just grow old and gray here. And yes back to Ether, a few things we need to do there. I'm sure the Gartagens did a fine job clearing it. But hell, I want to go back just to be sure, and well why not teach folks how to survive over night there?" She smirked as she hit the button to open the H1 up for her.

"It'll be like a camp out! It'll be a blast..." She chucked as she stepped in and let the PA start to adjust to her measurements and fit it's self to her.

While letting the Shosho peruse her planning brief, Junko sent out a slightly redacted copy to the crew that would be participating in the exercise. It would be useful for them to know what they were training for; not so useful to tell them what surprises were in store.

"Yes, my mental backups have just been completed," Deziarra replied making a note of her instructions. "I will head to the systems station, send a letter to the Communications Network of Nepleslia letting them know we are interested in transferring the remains of two Nepleslians on board when we pass by, and prepare for the training exercise."

As soon as she finished saying this, she was notified Junko had sent a message. After reading it, she left Junko know her message had been recieved.

Cabin 6

Awake.

Sienna only saw a shadowy space in front of her, barely high enough to crawl through. A blurry light weakly illuminated the nondescript corners of the tiny area from above and behind her. Her cheek was pressed against a cool, damp surface, and her eyelids felt heavy. She was lying curled up on her side. Where was she? How long had she been asleep?

Blinking, she started to lift her head, causing her inner ear to give her the sensation she was floating, or spinning slowly. She swallowed, but there wasn't a drop of saliva in her mouth. Squinting, she sat up and rubbed the side of her face and ran her open fingers through the side of her hair. It felt matted, and she had a dull headache. Looking around through narrow slits of eyes, she tried to get her bearings. She'd fallen asleep on the floor of her cabin, that much she now remembered, and was facing the underside of her bunk. She groaned softly as she leaned forward and hugged her knees, both out of discomfort and from the concern that Chieko had come into the cabin and seen her passed out on the floor in a pathetic little ball like some derelict.

What a night she must have had, however long ago it had happened; she had no idea what time it was. She couldn't hear any activity immediately outside, either. Perhaps everyone was in the mess hall.

The mere thought of food, any kind of food, made her stomach turn, and she swallowed back a gag reflex. It would be a long, long time before she allowed herself to drink that much again. Climbing gingerly to her feet, she listened at the cabin door, then cracked it open just enough to peek out into the corridor. Nobody there. Now was as good a time as any to get a shower -- she had to look like absolute hell.

Natsumi read through the transmission that arrived on her screen from Junko. It was brief and, well, light on details. She wanted more details, but figured those would come soon enough. She just wanted something to aim at and blast away with the Aether cannon.

Understood. Ready to go when you are

Natsumi sent the reply message to Junko, then went back to monitoring the Eucharis' flight through space.

PA Bay

Mitsuko placed her helmet to the side, doing her best to assist Misato with her new suit, chewing her lip the whole time. Back to Ether. After her embarrassing performance last time, she'd done plenty of studying. She wouldn't make any of the same mistakes this time, at least. Of course, there were plenty of other things that could go wrong. "This is just a training exercise on the surface, right? We're not going...underground again, Suzume-chan?" She glanced to the side as she remembered Bors getting injured. Not that that didn't happen on every mission, it seemed.

Avoiding Misato's eyes, she wound up looking right at Asami instead. She finally seemed to truly notice her, realizing she didn't recognize the face. "Oh...hello." She blushed at her lack of tact, trying to recover and act politely. The dressing down she'd been given by half of the crew not long ago was still fresh in her mind. It only took a moment to look up the new crew member, but it wasn't the first time she'd seen this name. "...Asami...Juni?" She seemed unsure how to address the other Neko. "While conducting inventory, I noted a M7 Sarah had been delivered along with Misato-Heisho's new Mindy 1H. It had your name attached to it, but I didn't realize we'd taken on new crew members. Again. Sorry for the delay in notifying you." She bowed awkwardly in her Mindy, gesturing to the other new suit that had been deposited near Misato's.

Takeyu hadn't said much, instead he had been conversing with Charisma about a few things related to the ship. His attention was split between the current conversations and the one with Junko, a live fire exercise would be a welcome thing for the ships crew given how the odds of getting into such situations now were rather low considering the war was over. "Since my presence was requested on the away team, I shall take my leave Shosho," said the Taii as he saluted Hanako and then left for the PA Bay.

Perhaps it wasn't just that he had been talking to Charisma, he'd just taken the mantle of an XO but at that moment had run him into a brick wall in figuring out what next to do, he knew he could never fill June's shoes but at the same time he knew that a ship without an XO wouldn't run very well.

PA Bay

When he arrived at the bay he went straight over to his suit and eased himself in, allowing it to conform to his body easily due to the settings he had put in previously. When the suit was done, he sealed it up and checked all of the joints to ensure nothing was out of order. "Good," he muttered and kept the helmet to his side while he flexed the mechanical hands, followed by the legs, and arms.

PA Bay

Asami gave a slight nod of thanks to Misato as she pointed out the Mindy PA for her to use. She was looking this PA over and inspecting it when she was directed by Mitsuko to the M7 Sarah. Listening to Mitsuko it was hard for Asami not to smile, she didn't know the Jôtô Hei for all of ten seconds but Asami knew she already liked her. Listening to Mitsuko-Hei try to find the right way of addressing her didn't go past her notice. Thinking it over Asami tried to deduce the best way to approach this. When considering not just a Yamataian cultural perspective but also in a military one Asami noted that titles and honorifics where important in both cultures in order to convey respect and not confuse undo familiarity. This strangely enough clashed with the Ketsurui Samurai tradition, in which most members where simply known by their names and had only age and occasionally station honorifics attached. Asami mentally deduced perhaps the best way to ensure the least amount of confusion would be to go by a military rank for now and besides technically her station in the Ketsurui Samurai did make her an equivalent to a Nitô Juni and the Samurai were a part of the Star Army of Yamatai. Satisfied that this was in fact the proper course of action, Asami replied to Mitsuko.

Yes Asami-Juni is correct. Thank you..."

Asami leaned forward to look at Mitsuko's name tag.

"....Mitsuko-Jôtô Hei. I appreciate it. And don't worry about the delay. I just got down here for the first time for today's drill and it seems I got it in time before leaving. So I suppose in fact it was right on time rather than late."

Asami then gave a polite bow to Mistuko.

"It is a pleasure to meet you."

Asami then turned to Misato.

"Thank you for the offer of the Mindy PA, I was unaware of the Sarah here but I appreciate your courtesy and generosity. Now I suppose I should get to these start up checks in order for today's drill...."

Asami then lightly clapped her hands together and held them out in front of her in a playful gesture of mercy or praying. Making it look as though she was really concentrating Asami kept her both of her eyes closed as she faced Misato.

"...Perhaps Misato-Heisho would be so kind as to glance over from time to time to make sure I'm doing it right and not breaking anything."

Asami said the last part with a wry smile and opened one eye to look at Misato.

Thoroughly satisfied she turned and walked over to her designated Power Armor to start inspecting it. It had been around two to three years since she last stood in front of a M7 Sarah and seeing it now did seem a little surreal. Her training started to take over as she started up the suit and had it open for her to step in. As her hand touched the smooth metal of the suit, she stopped. Taking a moment to run her hand lightly over the familiar frame she began to remember a time back in the Samurai House. She was a trainee then and it was time for their evening meal and oddly the thing that stuck out most was the prayer they used to say.

On ships of strength and precious beauty, A warrior goes to do her duty, With strength, wisdom, and loyalty, And the spirit of certain victory…We thank our masters, the Ketsurui Clan, for this meal we are about to receive and the life we have that lets us do so; for it is this great clan whose noble leadership ensures not only the survival of the empire, but its purity and goodness as well. Let the Ketsurui fight against evil as vigilantly as we fight to protect the Ketsurui, and may their spirits watch over us as we watch over the living.

The meal time prayer was something she hadn't said aloud in over three years. Strange that it would come back now. Shaking herself out of her little daydream Asami continued with her checks until she finally stepped into the Power Armor and let it start to fit itself to her form. While waiting for it to finish Asami looked down at the Power Armor and let a humorless smile cross her face as she thought,

Kind of like a bike, you never really forget.

With all the standing around, and the noticing of the new personnel with them, Bors decided to figure out whats going on.

"Oi, Misato, err Heishio." He said hoping that she wasn't to mad at him for the fight that they'd had over leave, "Anything special I should take for this training? Like one of the support weapons or an extra med kit or six? And whos the new guy?" Normally he wouldn't ask so many questions but something in his brain told him to get things going, maybe it was just the painkillers kicking in.

Chieko wondered how much of a blast they'd really have. That said, having spent some time in the mountains on Hanako's World, she figured she should still be alright to handle it. The academic then heard Bors' questions, along with that about the new person whom had arrived with Misato.

She had picked up a few fragments of the discussion between the samurai and the cargo officer, and some of the elements at least dealt with her curiosity for now. At least until Asami was not busy and the scientist could give her a proper welcome.

"Riko-Hei, mind if I help out? I seem to be about ready myself," she said to the infantryman.

Misato was being overwhelmed by all the people talking to her all at the same time... She started from the top of the list of things to get done before planet fall.

"Riko! Once you and Akane are suited up, go and warm the Troll Tank up and get it ready to be operated, Mitsuko here will help out with the gear needed to be loaded up on it." she turned to Mitsuko, "That would be those warm-weather suits and the large survival kit. Get things ready and make sure they are loaded right, I doubt Riko here would be able to have them lashed down right."

Misato snickered a bit before turning to Asami, "I will give you as much attention as I can. just remember what you have been taught, hell if you been trained in that PA then you should be fine." Suzume smiled before closing her helmet and taking a deep breath.

Asami was drawn out of her own personal thoughts by Misato's reply. With a reassuring smile and a wink she replied.

"I will do my best not to disappoint."

The Sarah finally finished adjusting to her form and all systems looked green. Asami slid the Power Armor's helmet over her head and locked it in place. Thinking to herself she mentally murmured.

I forgot how slightly claustrophobic this can be at first.

Thinking this was now as good time as any to at least informally introduce herself to the rest of the team. Asami fell in next to Bors. Turning her head to the rest of the team she stated.

"Hello, I am Asami-Nitô Juni, it's a pleasure to meet all of you. I just transferred to this command yesterday and am fortunate enough to be able to participate in this practice drill with you."

Asami allowed a second's pause before continuing.

"I understand that a ship's crew is much like family, a collection of friends and comrades. All though I am new to this ship as well as the crew I hope that I may be able to earn your trust and friendship so that I may also become a part of the Eucharis family."

Though her face was covered her voice conveyed the pleasant smile on her face.

PA Bay

Mitsuko bobbed a nod, bending slightly, not wanting to try another bow. "Oh...nice to meet you too, Asami-Juni." She smiled a bit as the new person got settled, examining her suit and introducing herself to everyone. Her suit had fully checked out, so she had no reason to remain armored up. However, with the crowd that had assembled, she was in no hurry to strip it off and have to get dressed in front of everyone. Technically she could head into the Cargo Bay in her Mindy, but she didn't want to push her luck. Staying put, she simply listened to the others talk while mentally setting up the list of items Misato had requested, planning how she would pack everything once she was able. It would take a few days to return to that horrible planet, so there wasn't exactly a rush.

PA Bay

Once Ayumi's backup was finished she quickly left the medbay and went to the power armour bay as she had been instructed. While she was aware there was a MINDY here for her, she had never used one beyond training and this seemed like an interesting concept to her. She looked around at the people who were already gathered and wondered if she needed to suit up as well. Instead, she located her suit and began to double check that everything on the outside was in order, waiting for the Shosho to explain further what was expected of her. There was no reason to get ahead of herself.
