It’s good to be back, Skade thought as she lead the robot down towards Engineering from the Medbay where they had dropped off the injured Edtoto, making a quick pit stop at the Power Armor Bay so she could get out of her Mindy. I hope I don’t need it, she thought, taking a sidewise glance at the android. And that Mr. Kinzuko will cooperate.

Entering the engineering bay, the blue-hued Technician smiled at her boss. "Hi, Sunny. I’m asuming that the Captain told you about our new passenger?”

The tall Minkan was there waiting for them, arms crossed. She squinted at the slightly banged up android accompanying Skade. "Well, look what the cat dragged in." Sunny nodded in response, stepping forward for a closer look. "It doesn't look like any JANE or Douryu I've ever seen. Kinda like they stuck a fancy head on a Rayleigh or somethin'..." By now she had leaned in close enough to almost press her face against the android, currently peering at its torso, where faint signs of the earlier battle were still visible. "...and then pumped it full of nanite steroids."

She stood, stepping aside to jerk her thumb towards the Fabrication Bay on the other side of Engineering. "Alright, time for your checkup. Get 'em locked down good and secure, Hei." Sunny gestured towards the robotic arms and other devices that were usually used to hold and manipulate PAs. "We're not going to deactivate you and risk triggering something nasty, no worries there yet. But we're gonna get really well acquainted before the Captain's satisfied. Understood?" She was still smiling as she addressed the android directly for once, although it was clear she was already taking it apart with her eyes.

The android kept pace with Skade, watching her exit her armor with interest. It seemed to be interested in organic lifeforms, almost like a curious child. When they finally reached their destination it stood at attention. When Sunny pointed, it's gaze followed to the Fabrication Bay slowly. This was something it had expected, so if didn't offer any resistance. It turned back when she spoke more directly. "I am a prototype. I am aware of no other Kinzuko no Byakko android in existence. It is a pleasure to make your acquaintance Sunny. The Captain has yet to inform me what she would like to call me. Until I am given a name, Android will be sufficient. In response to your question yes, I understand." It intoned calmly, although perhaps with a hint of pride when it mentioned it was unique. "Would you like me to stand over there, Sunny-san?"

"I'll just call ya Yonto Hei and you can call me Linn-Heisho. Got it?" She gestured again towards the area where Skade had seen armors and drones constructed before. "Prototype, good, don't wanna deal with more than one talkin' tin can..." Sunny was grumbling under her breath as she moved to one of the consoles that would be displaying data, leaving Skade to the controls for the robotic arms and other tools.

Hmm…thanks boss, really original, the Neko thought when the Chief Engineer welcomed them. “Yes, ma’am,” she nevertheless responded to Sunny’s order, and used the robotic arms and straps to restrain the robot. I’m just glad it’s following orders now.

Once the Android was secured, the technician looked at the machine with a curious look. “We’re going to need a better name for you than Android,” she said. “Hmm…an acronym would be fitting…how about Shock Assault Bipedial Android, SABA for short?” she asked the robot with a smile. Of course, the reference fits perfectly, with a name like Metal White Tiger.

The android tried to decipher the meaning of Sunny's mutterings. "I would like to examine this talking tin can you speak of. What is the purpose of such a device?" It asked curiously as it moved to the designated area.

It looked at Skade for a moment, thinking about the suggested name. "Is that not the word for a slimy sea creature? I'm not sure why that would be an appropriate name. I do not like water. Perhaps you should call me Takeshi, if I require a name. I believe it would describe me well."

Skade laughed at the Android’s tin can remark. “No, tin cans are an…informal name for robots.”

After starting the scanning equipment up, the technician looked at the robot, putting her hands on her hips. “You’re not supposed to like water, or the things that live in it. But…I mean, I guess Takeshi makes sense.” She tilted her head to the side as she thought, then smirked. “I guess that means you’re Takeshi SABA then.”

The robotic arms firmly secured the android as the first round of passive scans began. Sunny was glued to her console, lips moving silently as she looked through the data being gathered. After a few moments this turned into mumbling, before she was ready to share with the other engineer. "It seems to be composed of mostly...Durandium? Some kinda alloy that scans mostly the same." She glanced at Skade. "Maybe Uesu started running low on supplies and started scavenging? Or maybe it's a prototype to see what they could do with materials they could scavenge, if they got desperate...or needed to build a bunch of these guys..." Linn was half muttering to herself again, before shaking her head.

"Weapons...similar enough to the good ol' Ke-M2-W2910. And uh...some kinda fancy...heat blaster? Good way to bleed off the excess from the power supply, I guess. Let's go ahead and start shuttin' those off, alright, Ochiko?" The MEGAMI made her presence known with a giggle, appearing next to Skade, wearing a grease-smudge jumpsuit instead of her normal kimono. "Hai, Sunsun-san! Let's...look under the hood, yes~?" A wrench seemed to have replaced her fan, as she gestured towards the immobilized android. "Masa-san, please connect the diagnostic cable, yes?" While Sunny muttered something about a 'fusion reactor' she swiped over a data snippet highlighting the data port on the back of the android's neck.
