RP: YSS Heartbreaker [Mission 4: Epilogue] Ah Sugar, Ah Honey Honey

Late YE 38 - Antipode - 0833 Hours

With the Vekimen Colony Station in the capable hands of Star Army Logistics, the crew of the Heartbreaker was past due for a little shore leave. Deviating slightly from their assigned path, they were surprised to learn that the I'ee had claimed one of the systems Uesu had cataloged, sometime after the Fleet's initial pass. Hopes were not high for the Antipode system, as Sally had described it as rather uninteresting. The Heartbreaker arrived in the system, accompanied by I'ee escorts, noting a quiet star and one lonely, blue planet, with a few satellites and other I'ee devices in orbit or otherwise drifting through the system. The planet was almost entirely covered by water, with only small, scattered islands poking above the surface. There seemed to be almost no flora or fauna on land, although the massive ocean was rather active.

Captain Tsukisaki, Rin and the assigned representative Star Army Command had sent along reported to the single Oo'tut outpost on the otherwise deserted planet, leaving the rest of the crew on board while a proper landing site was chosen to receive them and the shuttle they'd be taking to the surface. Rin began to send back reports: mildly warm temperature, sunny, breezy. Images began to paint a clearer picture of what to expect: warm beaches, crystal clear water, exotic yet peaceful marine life. The I'ee even reported that the islands closer to the poles were covered in soft, powdery snow, although they had no idea why anyone would be interested in something like that.

So, the crew members began to pack their swimsuits (Veronika and Bettie were particularly excited) and/or snowsuits, spirits already lifted. As the packed shuttle dropped them off on the sandy beach, low dunes stretching off in one direction with the sea surrounding them, the crew members were greeted with another unexpected sight. An Ee'ith sphere was already parked nearby, and the beach was already crawling with friendly I'ee (including Sally and Yui). They seemed to be attempting to set up some sort of reception for their new friends...although results were mixed, at best. Some sort of net had been rigged up, with what appeared to be bouncy white spheres of some sort laid out nearby...although the net was squat and I'ee sized at best. And there were far too many balls prepared, most of which had curious I'ee latched onto them, wobbling about. Other forms of entertainment were beginning to be set up, along with food and drinks...although the crew could smell the strong scent of very fruity, extremely sugary treats from several feet away...

Antipode System - Oo'tut Observation Station

The Oo'tut were surprised by the unexpected guests: Almost the entire Ee'ith fleet along with a Yamataian vessel. They had a noticeably different 'personality' as well, in that their words were careful, erudite and descriptive in comparison to the more emotional and child-like Ee'ith. In short, the Oo'tut felt a lot like scientists and observers who received little company. Despite being ill-prepared, the Oo'tut seemed interested in having Yamataian visitors, and a landing strip on the planet was soon set aside for the Heartbreaker.

Even before the Yamataian shuttles began their descent to the planet's surface, fantastic displays of coloured light could be seen in the upper atmosphere as Ee'ith ambassador ships flew down ahead of them. Apparently, the I'ee's particle engine exhaust reacted in an... interesting fashion with atmosphere. The tiny craft looked like they had rainbow engines installed as they flew down to the surface.

Planet Antipode - Coastline Facility

Upon the largest island in the large, equatorial archipelagoes was the Oo'tut base. It was located on the island's coastline, straddling a large, beautiful waterfall which crashed down to the beach below and into the sea; undoubtedly using the falls as a power source. The base itself was composed of three different structures: One central, box-like structure which sat atop the waterfall, presumably the power generator, and two smaller, spire-like structures that visibly jutted out of the jungle on either side of the waterfall. The buildings seemed to made with a shiny, golden-orange plating that glimmered in the sun; probably a pretty sight at sunset. With the base facing to the East, out at the sea, the Northern spire had the main path down to the beach from the cliffs.

That path was a zig-zagging, rough path that had been cut into the cliff face, intended for quite a sizable vehicle, judging by its width. Indeed, in several places where available space was short, the path had been artificially widened with metal extensions. It certainly didn't look like fun to drive down in a heavy vehicle. Curiously, running parallel to this zig-zagging ramp was a straight, vertical path directly up the cliff face; designed to be climbed up, it looked a lot like a climbing exercise with hand-holds and netting. It even had a few 'rest stops' on the climb up. Considering the I'ee's insectoid nature, perhaps this was their equivalent of a ladder?

As for the beach itself, it was a cozy, semi-circular stretch of sand bisected by the waterfall's runoff, flanked on either end by rock pools and cliffs. Another far longer beach could be seen past the northern rock pools, stretching invitingly into the distance, while at the south end the beach gave way to jungle. At the base of the ramp leading up the base was a small flattened area of sand which lead onto a long, metal jetty extending far out into the water; well beyond the cove. At its far end, some sort of submersible craft could be seen anchored.

VolleyBugs - A Valiant Attempt

By far the most curious sight on the beach was the Ee'ith's attempt at providing entertainment for their Yamataian 'friends'. Besides the awkwardly small volleyball nets created for playing on, there were also some small beach huts being constructed rapidly along the coastline out of a variety of plant materials. They were an odd sight: Like a classic palm hut on a beach resort if it were made by paper wasps. It was in the largest of these huts, made to resemble a bar, complete with stools, that the I'ee seemed to be serving drinks. Frozen fruit of alien varieties was being laid out to thaw, presumably taken out of the Ee'ith's own food stocks for this purpose, in order to be crushed for juicing. There were also stocks of metal canisters containing the thick, shake-like fluid that some of the Heartbreaker's crew might have seen Sally and Yui consuming. Whatever it was, the Ee'ith didn't seem to intend on the Yamataians consuming it; presumably it was an all-purpose ration drink of sorts.

A more unusual sight could be seen where the I'ee seemed to be preparing a barbeque of sorts. In an amusing contrast to their volleyball nets, the fire they were building was far too large, being more like a small bonfire. Already, the Ee'ith were tentatively attempting to cook thick chunks of meat over the fire using a make-shift metal grill with a large step-ladder-like device for the cook to stand upon. Unlike the fruit, the meat the I'ee had brought was fresh: A recently slaughtered animal was laid rather unceremoniously out near the fire. It was a forest-green in colour, with leathery skin similar to a rhino, thick, muscular limbs, rump and shoulders, and an odd hammer shaped head with a long anteater-like snout.

The dead animal was being swarmed over by a number of I'ee, using both metal implements and their mandibles to cut and tear away hunks of meat for preparation. Cooking meat seemed to be an alien concept to the bugs, though, who were learning the hard way to keep an eye on the meat to avoid burning it; a difficult task, considering how shy they were over the crackling flames. Another, living, specimen of the large, horse-sized creatures was standing close to its dead kin, though it did not seem particularly concerned. Presumably, these green things were the cows of the I'ee diet. It even had one of the large wasp aliens straddling its neck like a handler, petting along its hammer-prongs with her claws.

Despite the overly large reception set aside by the Ee'ith, the Oo'tut themselves seemed content to remain as recluses in their research base. Though it was admittedly hard to tell them apart physically, most of the I'ee on the beach had the same naive, childish traits that Sally did. The beach sounded like it were infested by a bizarre variety of bird life with all the squeaking, chattering and hissing that could be heard, though as the Yamataians and their associates drew closer, most of the noise died down. Anticipation was in the air!

Planet Antipode - Coastline Facility

Edtoto laid on the sand, basking in the glorious rays of the sun. Why the hell did she want an umbrella for, no matter how many times one was offered! She laid there, and to someone looking at her, they would almost think she had melted into the sand.

"Well," a voice said, accompanied with a hand that stroked the lizard's chest, "Looks like someone's relaxed."

The alien only gave a weak groan in return to the comment, cracking open an eye. "You... Are in the way..." She grumbled, closing her eyes again.

Skade chuckled, moving to the other side of the Vekimen and returning to her stroking. "You going to lay there all day?"

"I certainly hope so..." The alien responded, rolling onto her stomach and really sunk into the ground. She obviously didn't care about what anyone did so long as they stayed out of her sunlight. She hated the brightness of it all, felt the lack of hiding places to be a bit uncomfortable, but if she just closed her eyes and focused on how amazing the sand under her felt, all her fears just went away.

"You know," the Neko said, tilting her head as she looked down on Edtoto, "It's really tempting to just bury you under more sand."

"I would eat your leg if you did that..." Edtoto mumbled, blowing away some sand from her snout with a deep sigh. "You would be blocking my su after all..."

"But I got a bucket and nothing to do with it," the technician replied, holding said bucket.

"You could lose the bucket and join me sunbathing" The socially awkward lizard offered. "I'll even teach you how to do it right, because your kind sucks at it"

Skade's brow furrowed, her new leopard spots scrunching up as she did so, then asked, "What's there more is there to do then just lay out in the sun?"

"It's a mentality... Like... I actually don't know how to explain it too you" Edtoto sighed. "You have to feel it to know what I mean"

Curiosity piqued, the Neko shrugged, put her bucket to the side, and laid down next to the Vekimen, mirroring her position as well as she could. "So, just relax?" she asked, turning her head so she could talk.

Edtoto actually lifted her head, looking Skade over, the scoffed. "You're already doing it wrong. Look at you, wearing that stupid, pointless outfit" She grumbled, dropping her head back to the sand.

Rolling her eyes, the technician moved to a sitting position. "I would, if there weren't other people around or there wasn't a social taboo against nudity."

"Yamatai sees no issue with nudity... I looked it up. You wear uniforms for the soul purpose of regulating body temperature and to give you a uniform appearance. Also for those weirdo's who actually like wearing clothes" Edtoto stated flatly. "Stop using that as an excuse, otherwise I would have been told to put pants on ages ago"

Erm... Skade shook her head and smiled. "As you wish, my lady," she said, pulling the two-piece bathing suit off and lying back down as she had before, trying to ignore the feeling of the sand in sensitive areas. "So, what am I doing wrong now?" she asked.

Edtoto took a moment to breath in. "First, get comfortable. Lay on your front or your back, in whatever way makes you the most comfortable. Feel the sun, rub into the sand a little, just relax... Don't think about anything... Don't worry about anything...

The Neko flipped around, laying on her back, trying her best to ignore the other people on the beach. Thankfully, the Vekimen had picked a spot that was a decent distance away. Moving from side-to-side, she made a flat imprint in the sand, which made the situation more comfortable. Then came the hard part, not thinking.

Okay, the technician thought, trying to relax her breathing, just breathe in, then breathe out. Concentrate on that and you'll be fine, right? After a few minutes of trying, she groaned and put a sand-caked hand to her head. "How do you not think about stuff?" she asked.

"By not doing it..." Edtoto responded matter of factly. Slowly, she pushed herself off the sand, sitting and giving Skade a lazy, sleepy look. "You are always thinking about something. This needs to be practiced. I am a sivaro, I run calculations in my head most times, like I am an AI with nothing to do. If all I did ever was think, I would go crazy like others of my kind. Not in a feral way though" Edtoto explained.

"So... Focus on one thing. Something mundane. I try to see how many digits of Pi I can get too without a calculator" She grinned, winking at the naked Neko. "Would you like to try that one?" She asked.

"Hmm..." Skade replied, brushing sand from her face. "Depends if having the number just pop in your head," she continued, moving her hand and putting it by her side.

"Just lay down and listen" Edtoto sighed, lying back down. Then, she started counting. Slowly, very slowly. The numbers were stated clearly, and to a mechanical rhythm.

"3.141,592,653,589,793,238,462,643,383,279,502,884,197,169,399,375,105,820,974,944,592,307,816,406,286,208,998,628,034,825,342,117,067,982,148,086,513,282,306,647,093,844,609,550,582,231,725,359,408,128,481..." She started, starting to drone on.

The Neko let the Vekimen's words wash over her, tying them to the crashing of the waves a short distance away. After another few minutes, her breathing was as steady as Edtoto's counting, which then turned into a light slumber.

A seemingly long time passed as Edtoto's cadence of numbers filled the air in the immediate area, along with the soft snores of the Technician.

"...462,753,049,901,913,564,682,380,432,997,069,577,015,078,933,772,865,803,571,279,091,376,742,080,565,549..." Edtoto continued, six digits off getting to the 100,000th digit in the string.

"Uhm... What are you two doing?" A familiar voice asked, looking down at the two sunbathers.

Edtoto opened her eyes, to see Hasewega looking them over, obviously trying to keep her eyes away from her roommates openly exposed body.

"Relaxing... What does it look like?" Edtoto asked plainly.

"Huh?" Skade asked, rubbing her eyes and looking up at the Infantrywoman. "Ack," she yelped, turning over in shame. "What's she doing here?" she grumpily asked.

"I'm your roommate... Not the first time I have seen you naked..." Hasewega muttered

"Not by choice..." the technician mumbled in reply.

Hasewega (shook her head/sniffed/chuckled/etc.), then looked at Edtoto. "And you relax by doing math?" She asked, shaking her head. "Actually, never mind. I really came over here to ask you if you wanted to go to the Ski hills?" She asked, crossing her arms.

"Skiing?" Skade said, looking up at Sara. "I didn't think anyone else wanted to go."

"Well... I want to go? I won't if I'm alone though. I would rather not do Yoga on the beach this entire time, and I figure its not often you get to ski on a planet inhabited by Giant Wasps" Hasewega shrugged. "Also, would you at least put your bottom back on? I can deal with the top showing but come on..." She muttered, holding out a hand to block her vision.

You can deal with...ahh, the Neko thought, grabbing her swimsuit in haste, whatever. Getting up and trying to ignore the sand rubbing against her skin, said, "Yeah, skiing sounds fun." Turning to the lizard, she asked, "You coming, Edtoto?"

"This skiing sounds like a bad time... Why would I leave here to do it?" She asked, not moving.

"Well," the technician said, going down to her knees next to Edtoto's head. "Have you ever had hot chocolate by a roaring fire? Or been in a hot tub, soaking in hot water while snow lay on the ground all around you?"

"Snow is cold... This place sounds cold... Why would I leave here... For this warm place?" She asked again.

Hasewega kinda looked at Skade with a slight smile. "Wanna drag her?" She asked.

"Touch me and I will claw your face off" Edtoto growled, but oddly didn't seem to moved.

Skade grinned back at Sara. "Legs or arms?" she asked, standing up and stepped over the Vekimen to her sun-warmed side.

"Legs, go!" Hasewega shouted, diving for the Lizard.

Edtoto screamed as she was assaulted, wrestling the two Yamataian's as she tried to get away. Her sunsoaked body was lethargic and weak from all the relaxing, making her attempts to overpower the Neko and Military Minkan an even more futile task.

Skade moved quickly as well, picking up the Vekimen's legs and laughing as the group started on their way to the shuttle. "One shuttle to the ski slopes!" she yelled at the rest of the crew.

Beach Bug Rescue

Sand was rather awkward to walk through, especially for a species that was still getting used to it in many ways. Unfortunately for Sally, she had special cargo that needed to be kept sand-free: Namely, a large, bloody hunk of flesh that she had taken from the animal slaughtered for the barbeque. As a result, the I'ee had to carefully step across the sand, her arms held out to maintain her balance. After so much time apart, she had grabbed the biggest, best gift she could think of for her friend Edtoto, and was now heading to where she had seen her last.

It was then that the little ambassador heard Edtoto's cry of frustration as she was grabbed by her friends, freezing in place with her antennae perked high. "Oh no!" Sally squeaked, dropping onto all six legs without hesitation and taking off across the sand. She kept her head held high to try and protect the gift from the sand her legs were kicking up, scurrying as fast as she could.

To Skade and Hasewega, the laden I'ee was a strange sight, skidding to a halt in front of them and standing up tall, the bloody hunk of flesh still clamped between her jaws. "What are you doing with my friend, Edtoto?" she demanded, an angry frown displayed on her LED mask. Where usually Sally was bubbly and sweet to anything Yamatai-related, the thought of Edtoto, her best friend, in danger outweighed any obsession. The other Ee'ith wandering about nearby, climbing on rocks or digging in the sand, had stopped what they were doing and were staring at the group in silence.

Planet Antipode - Coastline Facility

The android had disliked this planet since the images first came back from these insectoid aliens. There was far too much water and sand. He was puzzled by the crew's reaction to this world. They seemed to get enjoyment out of the strangest things. He stood on a rocky spot a short way away from Edtoto and Skade. It was as close as he would get to the water lapping at the beach.

While he watched Skade and her lizard-like lover a feeling stirred in his chest that he couldn't explain. It wasn't the first time lately he'd experienced emotions, but this was a new one. He wished that Skade-hei would smile at him like that. Her smile made him feel good for some reason. Why so many crew members enjoyed Edtoto's presence was beyond his understanding.

Takeshi didn't know how to react when the two carried the lizard off. One of the little wasp people came running up with a chunk of meat, increasing his confusion. He considered following, but they mentioned snow, which was just mostly frozen water. His desire to be around Skade won out in the end and he floated after them.

Planet Antipode - Coastline Facility

Skade was a little miffed as she, Sara, and their cargo were stopped by Sally. Almost got away with it, she thought, trying to think of a way to get around the wasp before the Vekimen could put up effective resistance.

“Hi, Sally,” the Neko said, smiling at the I’ee as she shuffled to the side to get a clear shot at the shuttle. “We’re just going on a little trip to the snow. You’re welcome to come along.”

As the technician turned, Takeshi came floating into view. Somehow, she had missed the android in the mad rush. Hmm…that might work. Beaming at Saba, she sent, “Hey, Takeshi-kun. Could you run some interference on Sally so we can get Edtoto on board? If you want, you’re welcome to come along. Just make sure to hurry up so we can get off the ground ASAP. Can you do that?”

Planet Antipode - Coastline Facility

Hasewega glanced around the gathering group of I'ee, trying to not to let go of the Vekimen. She rotated around with Skade to help facilitate a quicker rush towards the shuttle if things went south.

She didn't pay much mind to the android on the side, she more focused to the I'ee in front of them. "Just wanting to do some skiing and relaxing in a hot tube is all. Come, join us!" She chimed in, trying to help convince Sally before Skade took drastic some sort of measures.

What Is This Fun You Speak Of

"The snow?" Sally asked, tilting her head to one side with a confused frown displayed. "But the snow is cold! Edtoto wouldn't like the cold, and I haven't been able to spend time with her for a while. Please let go of my friend!" The little ambassador tottered closer to the captive Vekimen, hugging her affectionately even as she was held in the grasp of the two Yamataian crew members. "Look, Edtoto!" she said, pointing to the meat held in her mouth. "I brought you a gift! I love you, Edtoto!"

Planet Antipode - Coastline Facility

The situation made sense now. Skade and Hasewega wanted to spend time alone with Edtoto and the native wasp thing didn't understand. Maybe the creature couldn't read humanoid social cues. He wanted to help Skade somehow but wasn't sure what he could do. The first instinct he had was to stun this "Sally" and take her back to a nearby gathering of her kin. He recalled from the SAINT agent's example that stunning an unfamiliar species could have unintended consequences.

His next idea was to somehow distract her. The lack of knowledge on her species presented problems there as well. From what he remembered insects like her enjoyed sweet things. "Greetings Sally. I am called Takeshi. I would like to learn more about your species. Would you accompany me to the bar? I will buy you a sugary beverage and you can teach me about the I'ee." The android asked. He knew the probability of success was low, but he was determined to try for Skade's sake, even though he would prefer to accompany her. The more important thing was to keep Skade-hei smiling.

Planet Antipode - Coastline Facility

Aye yai yai, Skade thought, bracing as her load increased, as the wasp grabbed hold of the lizard. Doesn’t look like we’ll be able to shake Sally off the scent. In which case… “Hey,” she mentally sent to Sara and Saba, “Thanks for trying, Takeshi-kun, but it doesn’t look like Sally’s going to bug off. In which case, we’re just going to have to bring her along.”

At that, the Neko hopped towards the I’ee and kicked the wasp’s legs out from under her. “Go, go, go!” she said, moving the group along as fast as she could while keeping Sally’s legs off the ground. "Last call for the snow!" she yelled, laughing as she managed her alien cargo.

Well, this is one way to get people on board,
the technician thought. Though I am wondering…is there a hot tub up there? Hmm…

Cruel Wasp Abuse

The I'ee let out a squeak as her legs were swept out from under her, curling her body around to cling on tight to Edtoto. "Oh my!" she squeaked, climbing up to sit on the Vekimen's stomach. "That's not very nice, Miss!" Despite her protest, Sally seemed too content with simply being reunited with her friend to complain further, offering Edtoto the piece of meat she had collected. "Are you hungry, Edtoto?"

Planet Antipode - Coastline Facility

Hasewega held onto Edtoto as Skade took off, trying to keep up with the neko as to not hurt Edtoto. Her face seemed to turn a flush red as she muttered out a series of apologies to the Sally and Edtoto under her breath before looking back towards the android. "You can enjoy drinks at a bar up north. Come on and join us!" she urged him.

Edtot continued to fight, but she eventually gave up. Especially when Sally, instead of doing anything to ACTUALLY HELP, just sat on her body and allowed her to be taken away. She did appreciate the comments the 'little' creature had made though, despite her being almost as tall as her. She was shockingly light. Looking at the food she had brought, she couldn't exactly hold it to eat it. When she finally got the chance to move, after the shuttle to the mountains had taken off, Edtoto just looked at the two Yamataians with an evil glare.

"You both recall that Yamatai now respects my rank now... Yes?" Edtoto asked, sounding none to pleased, crossing her arms. She was silent for a little, not looking at anyone in particular. "There better be something warm up there, or I am holding you all personally responsible for when I turn into a Popsicle. I'm cold blooded! How is this even a good idea!" She asked, taking the food from Sally with a small grumble of thanks. Razing her teeth through it, partly to make it easier to swallow and partly to give a silent warning for what her teeth could do to someone. Grumpy Lizard was grumpy...

Planet Antipode - Coastline Facility

“Oh, come on,” Skade said, smiling as she put Edtoto and Sally in a seat. “It’ll be fun. And there’s plenty of coffee and hot chocolate to tide you guys over until the hot tub warms up.”

“FYI,” the blue-skinned Neko mentally sent to Sara and Takeshi, as she started going through the Kourui’s cabinets. “I’m pretty sure that the I’ee hasn’t actually set up anything anywhere that has snow. So, we’re going to have to improvise. I have a few ideas, but I need to see what we have on the shuttle. Any ideas on how to keep our guests happy?”

Kayoko walked into shuttle behind them, towel wrapped around her wet pink hair. “I’ll take you guys,” she said. “Saw an island on the map earlier that looks fun.” Walking past the other androids, she continued, “Everyone heard you, so they should be here by the time we’re ready to leave.”

Sally squeaked happily when Edtoto was finally plopped down into a seat with her in her lap, snuggling up against her Vekimen friend. "I'll keep you warm, Edtoto!" the I'ee declared valiantly, nuzzling her face into Edtoto's chin and giving her friendly nips of affection. Outside the shuttle, the I'ee on the beach went back to their business, wandering about and digging in the sand.

"Vekimen Popsicle? - on ski slopes? That wouldn't make a very good snack in the slightest!" Kiko chimed, making her way onto the shuttle behind the group. The cook look absolutely prepared, she was toting a large metal container in one arm, and a large bag in the other "How about hot chocolate and marshmallows instead? It's the appropriate snack for the locale! I'm glad someone else brought you some food though, Edtoto!- I didn't think you would be going somewhere so cold, so I didn't think to pack any food for you."

Planet Antipode - Coastline Facility

“Hi, Kiko,” Skade said with a smile, “Here, let me help you with that.” As the pair secured the treats, she sent to the taller Neko, “You are the best, Kiko-chan. I owe you, big time.”

“Okay,” Kayoko said from the shuttle’s front, “Looks like that’s everyone. Let’s get this show on the road.”

After the technician finished with the hot chocolate, she went back to the cabinets, rifling through their contents. As the shuttle lifted off the beach, she pulled a long hose and a tarp from one of the Kourui’s cabinets. “Perfect,” she said, putting it in an empty aisle before sitting down next to Hasewega.

After a moment of quiet tension, She is kind of annoying, but this was her idea, the Neko coughed and said, “Thanks for getting us going, Sara. And for helping get everyone on board,” she added with a smirk and a glance at the two aliens.

The Craggy ‘Mountain’

After an hour flight north, made short with hot cocoa and silly stories, the pilot landed on a snow covered rock. There were no picturesque beaches here. Granite cliffs stood over the ocean, waves crashing against them. But their landing zone looked like a winter wonderland, or Edtoto’s worst nightmare, with a few pine trees breaking up the sheet of packed powder.

Skade was one of the first out, having put her snow suit on over her bikini. She grinned as she saw her breath crystalize in the air. “Great spot, Kayoko,” she said.

“Thanks,” the pilot said, bending over and starting to pack snow into a snow ball.

The technician didn’t notice as she started scouting the area, enjoying the crunch of the snow as she looked for an ideal spot for her plans. Seeing a depression in the snow, she bent down and quickly cleared some of the snow. Oh yeah, she thought, nodding at the nearly bowl shaped depression, this will work great.

As the Neko stood, she was hit in the head with Kayoko’s snowball. Wiping snow off of her hood, she turned around and saw the other Neko bending over again, a grin on her face. “Oh, no you don’t,” she said, quickly building her own snowball.

“SNOWBALL FIGHT!” the pilot yelled, throwing her projectile at Hasewega.

Planet Antipode - Coastline Facility

Kiko responded to Skade with a wide smile, and playful wink. Someone had to make sure that all the Nekos -and Edtoto- had warm, filled bellies. Kiko was always prepared, it was all just part of the job "I try, don't worry about it!" She sent back as she sat down beside the secured container of hot chocolate.

The Craggy ‘Mountain’

The cook left the shuttle with the goodies she had brought, making extra sure to skirt around the sudden snowball fight. She wouldn't be able to defend herself with her hands full, she'd make for an easy target if she got involved while still toting the hot chocolate, and other snacks, around "Watch it with those snowballs!" She warned with a laugh.

Planet Antipode - Coastline Facility

Hasewega didn't pay much attention to Skade during the flight, silently muttering apologies to Edtoto before giving the Vekimen her jacket to try and stay warm when they reached the snowy peaks. Luckily she already had some spare winter clothes on the shuttle when she went to ask Skade and Edtoto.

The Craggy ‘Mountain’

As soon as she stepped off the shuttle, Hasewega took a look around. The snow crackling underneath her step was a much needed break from the solid deck of the Heartbreaker. The sound of the ocean was a bit of a distraction, but she could make do and turn this little area into a nice yoga spot later.

As she did her own little bit of scouting, the minkan heard the snowball fight being announced then turned to see a Skade's snowball flying towards her. As if by instinct, she leaned far right and low, letting it soar past her before coming back back with her own hastily packed snowball. "Shouldn't have announced your attack." She replied before sending a snowball back towards the neko.

The Craggy ‘Mountain’

Skade giggled as she ducked under Sara’s snowball and she packed a couple of her own. “While sneak attacks are fun,” she said, dodging to the side to avoid Kayoko’s barrage, “I like being fair.” Throwing one of her snowballs back at the other Neko, she stashed the last one in her unused hood and headed towards Kiko.

“Let’s just put it over here,” the technician said, helping the cook with the treats and moving it next to the bowl-like depression she had found earlier. The pilot looked at the hot chocolate toting crew, shrugged, and threw her next snowball at the infantrywoman.

Skade smiled and brushed her hands as she looked at the bowl. “I’ll set up the lines in a minute and start getting some hot water going.
