I dunno if this really needs to be approved since the Nepleslian Senate already exists and you're just putting an unimplemented page into action since the old group never did for whatever reason. Sorta one of those "info page at FM discretion" kinda things. Ultimately up to Wes, since you asked him to review it.
 
Can we get the background as to why this is happening now?

I think I can help with that Doshii.

We recently did a JP with Wes, where the events leading to Asteria are slowly coming together. In it, it's stated that my character, a certain Exiled Nepleslian Senator, wants to try to reclaim Nepleslia from the criminal, corporate and military corruption that's seized control. Right now, canonically, there is no official Nepleslian Senate, and that was going to be a rallying cry.

OOC though, we're not even going to bother Nepleslia. We need permission to after all.

I'd prefer my character be able to dream though.

I was planning on submitting something else tonight. Should I not? Is it the wrong time to add to the setting? Is it going to cause a row if I do my job? I'm not okay with you coming into my submission and implying there's some reason, like I'm out for blood, for this to happen. Please, leave me alone.

Is this true or is it one of those "we headcanon'd it in our plot and you must accept it!" deals? I'm not up on my Nepleslian stuff since I've never really been involved in Nepland other than Legix bugging me to join his plot, but as an outsider I'd always thought that Nepleslia had a senate that was rebuilt after it was fractured during the 2nd NMX War—such progression only makes sense, it's not like everyone's bound to roleplay out the minutiae of background elements.

Wes even bumped this post today for posterity, which came from the era immediately preceding Gunhand's FMship of Nepland.

You might not be ok with it, but that doesn't mean I have to stop. Nor am I toxic, bullying, or any of the other adjectives used to describe members back and forth as of late.

I asked a question after reading the JP and hearing from some folk Cadette referenced. I believe others knew it was happening or was going to. If that's not the case, lovely.

But just because you're "not OK" with something doesn't make it wrong or invalid. I asked an honest question. I succinctly asked it. I amicably asked it.

We're all allowed that. You don't get to be left alone as an FM or a setting mod. Least of all as a submitter.
 
If either Doshii or Cadet think they have constructive criticism to add to the submission, I'll gladly accept it.

I will state it here as well for the record. Yes the senate is still there, no it was not disbanded by my Premier. Did I say it was corrupt? Yes... I had plans for it, but after the incident, I never got to do anything... Plans change.

However, never did I ever state that it was gone or disbanded. That is my answer and I am sticking to it.

Now, if you'll excuse me, SARP has caused me enough grief for one night
 
When we JP'd, we made sure to double check our facts, with Wes himself finding some of the stuff we were looking for for us. It's been verified that since its destruction by the Mishhuvurthyar, no new Senate had been made. With the senators themselves, there are some survivors and newly elected ones, but the Senate itself was never formally brought back.

It's canon.
 
Wes himself was talking to Gunhand and myself about the senate today to give us more info and fact-check with us. He never said anything to the effect of, "It's ded. RIP."
