Have you considered using some of the USO stock weapons like the gumdrop turret in place of the doga default weapons?
 
That thing is sweet! Nice job on the interior.
I don't know if you're a fan of square barrels but if you use my laser cannon I'll honor its use in the wiki. It'll open up a variety of customization options and is currently in review. @Alex Hart has a coil gun from his U1 too thats pretty tough too. It might help give it more 188604 familiarity and save you time.
 
I've been trying to get help making wiki pages for each thing except the minotaur because AJ asked me to put that together for a setting submission he was doing.

I'd also try playing with textures for your models, as well as downloading Gimp and getting familiar with it so you can do some photoshopery with your images
 
These are really good! I especially like the ground transport and the dropships. The little interior details are a nice touch.
