Hello. I'm new to this forum. Anyway, sorry if this sounds rude (since I've only just joined) I was wondering if there was a place where image requests are possible?

Welcome. Please remember to wear your nametag untill we all memorize you. :D ENJOY THE SITE!

Don't mind Chris.. You can roleplay anytime you are ready by making a character and getting it approved. Chris, please don't give rude/bad first impressions to new people, or you might get banned again.

What kind of images are you asking for? We have plenty of art on current characters and setting objects, but those are mostly made by artists that require paid commissions. If this isn't what you were asking for, please clarify for me! Thanks, and welcome again! If you need anymore help, feel free to message me on my YIM: krusemh.

I was just wondering if I could find someone who would be willing to draw the YSS Sakura alongside a Sovereign Class (I like crossovers).

About the roleplay, the Nepleslian page in the wiki mentions aliens living on their planets with are often from other universes or dimentions, is it possible for a ship to be trapped in this universe? (As I said I like crossovers)

Well, the Sakura-class has pictures on it already, so I'd assume that you could use photoshop or something.. However, the scale of the ships (Sovereign being a battleship, and the Sakura being a gunship) might be too much to compare.

Hm... I don't know how common it is for 'other dimensional beings' to exist on Nepleslia anymore, but you'll have to ask the site admins about such a thing. Unfortunately, we cannot allow any copyrighted material to be illegally introduced on SARP (images, characters, full setting ideas, etc.). It's a legal issue that Wes, the head admin, would love to avoid.

Does that mean no actual ships/characters from the show or does it include non-canon fan Sovereign's, too?

Hm... definitely the ships from the show.. but I do not know about fan-made stuff. That will be something to ask the admins. Usually, those type of things are not copyrighted, but... you never know these days!

I'd go with a definite no, but again, Wes must decide. It sounds to me like you want a crossover with another universe however you can get it, and we don't do that here, unless it's in Cluster Flux, the non-canon forum.

Back in the early days of the SARP (circa 2002), some Star Army ships actually visited a Star Trek sim (Python Fleet) forum to RP there, but that was the last crossover we had.

Today, however, Star Trek items or characters from any source are not allowed in the main RP area because the SARP is an original setting. On the other hand, the "Cluster Flux" area isn't bound by canon so it is open to any RP settings.

If you want to convert your existing Star Trek characters into Star Army characters by making the closest character you can, you're welcome to give it a shot.

*waves to you*

Hi, I'm Missing No (aka "Missing" or "M#"), resident compulsive proofreader and GM of the Horizon's Key plotship. Welcome to the SARP, and I hope you have fun here

So if I wanted to try a crossover, I could start one in the Cluster Flux section? That would bring up the question of if anyone would be interested.

You had a crossover with a Trek site before and it was the last? How come? Did something happen?

I think the reason that we don't do cross overs anymore is two fold.

1. We don't want to rely on someone else to give us things to do, or do things with. We don't want to rely on Gene Roddenbury, or any of his staff, to give us ships, weapons, planets, etc. We want to create a setting that is our own, unique and thriving because of what we, the players, bring to it.

2. We don't want to get into any legal trouble using things that aren't ours. It is a pain in the butt to try and write the people who own things, asking them if we can use them. I know this, because I had to do this to use some of the premises brought forth in a short lived show called Wolf Lake. People who create things like that are very touchy about where their things are used, and for what. Just like Wes would be very angry if he suddenly found out that his Nekovalkrja weapons were being used somewhere else, without that person first asking him for permission. We are trying to make something here that can be marketed to the public, and if we have any mention of things from other series we have to pay royalties, and that isn't fun.

Basically, it boils down to a wish to be unique and original. As for your posting of cross over things in the Flux board, it's difficult to say how much interest will be shown. Some things have been very well recieved and reach 10 pages in a day, other things die after a post or two.
