C-Man: my grenade didn't go off at your feet. If you read Uso's post, it landed at your feet, and when the hallway tilted it fell to the grinder.

Any character hoping to interact with Avel will have to wait until the next mission. Her to do list for this one is currently full and will be listed below for the lulz.

1. Sparring match with Harm that features the two of them in skin tight suits and throwing insults at each other.

2. Flirting with Matteo and see how much money he's willing to pay in order to touch her body without fear of dying.

3. Talk to Naomi and do gangster S%$#
 
Matteo will certainly have fun if he likes tall women with huge honkers. I've also compiled a list of things Avel will do when she finds out about what happened. Am I the only one reminded by the different endings of Fallout New Vegas by these?

Plan A: Avel trades a few of her weapon ideas (combat drone, anti armor rifle) for a pardon and a portion of the profit. She uses the money to form her own mercenary organization and assists the Marines in future conflicts for a small fee.

Plan B: Avel sues the hell out of everybody, presenting her life story as her airtight case and carefully explaining that it was insanity because willful treason would have defeated the purpose of proving her creators wrong. Not to mention that shooting an unarmed and wounded marine for having a nervous breakdown was completely messed up. Avel still forms her own mercenary organization but charges the democratic imperium out the nose for her services.

Plan C: Avel pays Harm to get into contact with various organizations looking for competent soldiers and then purposely gets herself thrown into jail by hitting Wazu with a blunt object. Her new bosses break her out of prison while in transit and she discovers that MORGAN was the organization that took interest in her. Avel quickly rises up the ranks and becomes a feared enemy of the other factions.

@Uso: Just so you don't need to look it up, in case you forgot. Cedric has plasma grenades, a flamethrower, and a mass repeater.

More seriously, sorry about my abscence recently.

Edit: Oh crap...I apparently missed part of your post C-Man...I'm assuming Phaedra fired at the ID-Sols while Avel went in from the left and rushed in; she wouldn't fire if Avel was in the way.
 
Avel is probably sliding over the ceiling by the time Phaedra caught up. Seeing as she was the first down the tunnel.

I'm also toying with the idea of Avel dropping her datajockey, then Phaedra picks it up and reads about the kind of life she's led. I'm curious to see where that might lead.
 
Anyone I didn't mention, feel free to describe the effects of the blast on your armors.


When this mission is over things are going to get moved to the 4th fleet subforum and I plan to give everyone some social time instead of cutting things short with a mission.

Since this is supposed to be a combat plot, I am trying to keep things combat oriented and I have two ideas where to go next and I wanted to see what you guys felt like doing. Also, if there is something in particular you'd like to do let me know and I'll try to work it in. The flavor choices for next mission are:


A mission that takes place in a black casino, so the marines get to wear suits and punch badguys with their fists.

Or

A mission that takes place in space, where the marines get to do some shattered horizon style action.



Also, GM Note: The level of detail you have in your 'my character is aiming' bit is usually how effective I consider your character to be at aiming.
 
Also, I was thinking about what other things could be useful for the marines to have and I realized that there isn’t much specialized gear for the marine specializations. Would there be any interest in getting some weapons designed specifically to give the specialists more options over the regular marine?

Perhaps a demolition tool kit filled with a bunch of utility explosives or a specialized grenade launcher that can quickly swap through various grenade types for Cedric?

Or some sort of anti-material sniper rifle with guided bullets, or long range laser sniper system for Phaedra?

What do you guys think of such weapons being given out as rewards for completing missions?
 
C-Man, you should say you tried to drag her armor towards you rather than you did. You aren't allowed to preform any actions with other people's characters.
 
Since the grenades detonated off camera, I'm not really going to detail what happened to them (since no one is there to see it).

Big Anti-Material Sniper Rifle for taking out big things? Yes please! :cool: Also the demolition guys should definitely get some fun new toys.

Also, as far as the next mission goes I'm up for either the casino or in space. While the casino would be totally different from normal, we haven't had a good space mission in awhile, aside from our shuttles disintegrating on reentry last mission. I'm game for either really.
 
Right now I'm leaning towards the Casino mission. This will end up being the first mission done in the 4th fleet forum for this group so I'm going to try and make it more special than the basic combat missions we've been doing. Specifically I want to give everyone a more specialized combat experience.

For Example, I'm thinking about having Phaedra not go into the casino at all, and instead provide sniper support from outside.

Cedric is demolitions, but I'm not quite sure what exactly you want to do with him. Of course a casino will make for a great 'explode the vault' event for Cedric to set up if you want to drive home the 'Cedric is the guy to call when you want something broken'

Naomi, Matteo, and Avel don't have a real emphasized specialty and I'm wondering where you guys want to go with your characters. I have a good idea where Matteo is going eventually and Avel is going to have to prove herself to get rid of the P4C distinction, Naomi has rouge listed so we could do some pickpocketing fun with her but outside of that I wouldn't mind some suggestions.

The top telescopic scope, the side has a directional microphone, the bottom bit is a combination target designator / range finder and I'm planning on the bullets being large semi-guided projectiles making this more of a cannon than an anti-material rifle.

It also has woodland cammo in this image instead of desert... but that is easy enough to change.

(next up is going to be a demolition tool for Cedric)
