OOC [OOC] Acadia Discussion

I've been toying with the idea of an assault rifle that uses mini-missile warheads in it's ammunition. I can have Avel come up with the idea since she has a natural talent for coming up with new ways to kill things.
 
Sorry for the lack of words from me; I've been getting ready for a test that's coming up, just letting you guys know. Though, I should have said so sooner. I'll still jam a short post in here and there to keep things moving though.

Yeah...with her scars and white hair, she would sort-of stick out.
Also, since the rifle is going to made for Phaedra, I'd like to get your feedback on the artwork so far. Ask for anything you'd like and I'll do my best to make it happen

The top telescopic scope, the side has a directional microphone, the bottom bit is a combination target designator / range finder and I'm planning on the bullets being large semi-guided projectiles making this more of a cannon than an anti-material rifle.

It also has woodland camo in this image instead of desert... but that is easy enough to change.

:eek: *drool* Holy Crap! That is rediculously awesome! Those rounds almost look like 40mm grenades!
I'm assuming this does not require a PA to use? Either way, Phaedra would want to try it out before the mission happens.
Also, it should have a badass nickname, which it may or not gain after Phaedra uses it. :cool:

My only question is, what is that rectangle at the rear of the bolt for? It seems like it would make drawing back the bolt difficult.
Or is that some type of flip up display screen or something?

Also, I was thinking Jaguar for it's nickname: The name 'jaguar' comes from a South American Indian word 'yaguara', which means 'a beast that kills its prey with one bound'

Seems appropriate to me.
 
Sorry for the short post.

The shock trooper is the last of the baddies to kill on this mission, and he's going to try and spread the bio-bombs around to infect as many people as possible before escaping/getting killed.
 
Time to start winding this down. I'll let everyone describe the damage they take from the latest blast since combat is effectively over. I'll get the next mission set up soonish and that will be posted in the 4th fleet forum so I can shut down and archive Arcadia. Links will be provided of course.

I'm also having a hard time making a good looking jaws of life for Cedric, any interest in getting a bionic eye submission done for you instead?

I'd have posted last night, but I wasn't really able to concentrare for...various reasons. :|

Posting today should be less of an issue. None at all, really.
 
I'm sorry for my sudden lack of posts; I've been swamped with things to handle on my side of things. Fortunately, everything's cleaned up and I'll be posting more regularly here.
 
I'm going to post once more in the current mission to close my role up here. Looking forward to a new mission to accomplish. Even if it is on a new ship or something.

Yeah, having someone who had trained their whole life to kill things try to administer first aid was not a good idea.

It's actually a workable idea.

In any case, I'm not sure if we need to keep posting, or if Uso's got what he needs, so I'm just really going to keep going around posting, until Uso informs me I can quit it.

I'm pretty sure to PA units can carry a third one, so, without any more useless jabbering...here we go, folks.
