Since IRC is unable to work for me at my school due to its uber firewall, I will be on YIM if anyone needs to contact me between 3PM-5PM or 3PM-7PM on Mondays and Thursdays.

And the team landed at the largest ground facility. I don't know exactly where, but it's a general location.
 
Hey, I’ll be joining the plot soon. So anyway, We've gotta devise a way to shove my char in there. Any idea, because I have no clue what’s happening.
 
The Fearless sent an away team to the surface of this strange moon orbiting a gas giant. It has a stupidly powerful ECM-like field and strange spider-like drones scuttling about. It also has six equidistant "cities" that are basically a jumble of featureless, windowless buildings. No sign of actual biological life.

You could ask others if you could play it as "always been in the away team all along". It would be ok for me.
 
Yeah he could be like the one marine who is always with you in Halo. You know the one marine you actually care about and wind up saving his ass every three seconds while he gets in a slapfight with a brute. That guy.
 
Hmmm...I'm kinda hesitant to just have him suddenly appear since I was kinda detailed in my posts of the team.

But I also want to allow the new player into the roleplay as well, so I'll let you guys decide. Should I have him in the away mission already? Or should I have him arrive later, if so...how?
 
That’s what I was kinda thinking...

I could wait until you return to the main ship, or I could arrive in the form of backup. Though it would be weird if backup arrived on a mission with no action, but I'm assuming that this mission won't go as planned.
 
I'll wait for you guys to send the ship back for backup or for you to finish the mission. I'll check beck here frequently so expect a post right away (once it makes sense to)
 
BAH, sorry about this folks. Plenty busy as the new college semester draws near.

Anyway, I'll post when I get off work today. Also, I'd like to try and push through this with an Joint Post. I know we have a new player among us and I'm trying to figure out a way to get him involved.

But in the meantime, I'd like to know when everyone is available for a joint post and what program we will be using (YIM or IRC).
 
Now I recognize that around this time everyone's got school to deal with, but am I wrong to assume that activity will resume here in a few weeks correct?

Well actually I wasn't supposed to randomly pop in there. I've gotta wait for the current arc to end before I can join. So you know. *waits*
 
I'm starting to want you to join there beta. It's pretty much just me and Della and that's not really much fun. No offense Della.
 
To be alone there but with a team of NPC that might or might not be PCs or pop up PCs kind of kills the fun and the suspense

I need to know: now you're the ONLY PC active down there and we are not using the squad to "spawn" other PCs on place using the "they've been there all along" excuse?

Because i have plans for things, but i can't bring them into action before I know it. I've been kinda forestalling it, and that's why it hasn't been very... interesting.

Unless you like exploration of mysterious alien cities. (well, I do :D)
 
How about changing the plans to include, immediately, all the players?
 
well, i wouldn't mind. Anything to move along the story. But I don't want to speak for anyone else. Including Matt.
