I'd like to open up this discussion for the Genei's motto. I've already received one suggestion, but want you guys to discuss it.

That's a pretty good option, in my opinion. I thought, though, for the sake of discussion, that I should throw out a few more.


Ex scientia victoria - From knowledge, victory

Ipsa scientia potestas est - Knowledge itself is power

風林火山 - short for "Swift as the wind, silent as the forest, fierce as the fire, unmoveable as the mountains"

兵不厭詐 - All warfare is based on deception


I'm a personal fan of the last one, but like I said, I'm just generating options.
 
I like these two because they emphasize the importance on Intelligence. Just my 2 KS worth. :geek:

Okay, how about

inter arma enim scientia et consilium primus estis - In war, knowledge and deliberation are chief

I haven't been in a Latin class for a few years, so I might have messed up the conjugations a little. Anyways, you could interpret it in a few other ways if it sounded better. For instance if could be "In times of war," "When in arms," or "In times of arms," and instead of deliberation, "council," "wisdom," or "plans," and chief could be "first," "most important," "vital," or other such things. Take your pick really.
 
How about "Get Money. Fuck Bitches. Smoke Trees?" :V

More seriously, the only one in this thread that I really like is Sean's Ex Scientia, Victoria. In fact, after some internal deliberation with myself, I have to say that I whole-heartedly fully support it.
 
It's a good sounding motto and also short enough to fit on a patch.
 
Okay guys, we're giving her a gentle nudge now. Rynol, you and I need to JP your interview sometime, then we'll be off. The sooner the better, at latest we'll leave by wednesday of this week.

Question, prior to your post, there was an exchange between Yamamato and Eika that specifically was to take place after Red went off in search of a cabin. So my question is, does your post mean we need to edit what happened to where that exchange didn't take place?
 
No, it can happen, I'm just blind. I'll edit my post in a second.

edit: actually, Revolver never mentioned 'Red' leaving the room as far as I can tell (I might be blind though). It's still slightly fine, though my post is a bit rough still.
 
Just to clear it up, the way I read it, it wasn't Red who left, but rather Konpeki and Nobutora. The way the posts had been going, they were still outside the mess when Red stopped them. Then, when Red said "she" was going to go to her quarters, Konpeki continued into the mess and Nobutora followed. It was also implied that Nobutora had checked to see if Red had followed them in, with the assumption that "she" had not. Since Revolver hasn't posted anything about Red eavesdropping, I think we're assuming that Red continued on "her" merry way. Anyways, that's what I saw from the posts. I suppose if it needs it, we can go back and edit to clear things up, or leave it as it is. Either way works for me.
 
Either way works for me which was why I asked the GM if we should amend what was done because if the Shosa arrived before the three separated, then Yamamato and Konpeki's discussion wouldn't take place. :cool:
 
Mah bad again. Edited. 'Kay folks, let's get this boat sailin'. I'll wait until tonight (10 EST), so you have until then to converse, then I'mma posting something to get us going. Rynol, go ahead and bring your character in, we'll have that JP done today or tomorrow.
 
That's fine. Rynol, can you go ahead and post your arrival? We'll go back and do your interview later, I'd like to actually get this started for the time being. Daria would have been told to meet at the Genei's docking bay after her interview.
