Fifth Fleet: The Unluckies, is an action plot which follows the exploits of a newly formed squad, trying to shake off the legacy of its predecessors. Not only do they have to face the adversity that comes naturally with war, they are looked down upon as black sheep by the rest of their platoon. They must defy their enemies as well as prove themselves to their peers, and defeat the 'curse' that haunts the squad's history.
The plot will be done mostly in Single Posting, with the occasional Joint posting to supplement the plot's progress.
The plot consists mainly of ground combat, and will be fast-paced and hectic for its first arc, trying to follow what real combat would be like as best as possible- The squad will receive small tasks, sometimes difficult, sometimes easy, and upon accomplishing them, will be given a new task, for there is little time to rest in war. Tasks will vary from simple scouting, to escorting logistics, protecting points of interest, providing backup for other squads, and good old fashioned front-line combat.
Characters needed are basic infantry soldiers, preferably fresh from training, although more veteran characters will be accepted as well. Specifically, we need one medic character, but aside from that characters do not need to be specialized at the beginning, however, have an idea for what your character should specialize in before starting the plot.
We will be using the Daisy II, so be sure to know the differences between it and the standard model, to avoid confusion. You will start with a standard model, but as the plot progresses, opportunities to upgrade and modify your armor will become available, as will access to new weapons, or even other armor types.
