Plot summary: Kōzan Sakusen (Operation Mine; Operation Kōzan for SARPanese purposes)
You are a soldier in the Star Army’s newly formed Legion XII. With the Second Mishhuvurthyar War’s shifting toward Yamatai’s favor, you and your comrades have been ordered to take HX-13, a deadly jungle planet on the edge of the Empire’s southeastern frontier. But while the 12th is well equipped, the battle will be hard fought: Your Mishhu foes are dug-in to their mountain bunker complex.
Direct orbital assault isn’t an option. The enemy’s base, complete with a starport, small processing facility, and repeller anti-ship batteries, is well-fortified. Bolstered by elements from Legion I, you soldiers of the 12th will fight your way through the harsh, steamy jungles to root out the Mishhu menace wherever it hides.
Roleplay
This roleplay will focus on ground combat operations. Posts are expected multiple times a week. Check in and write something up as often as you can. Characters who go un-posted for without an OOC note will be cycled out of the spotlight after 3 days.
Joining:
Characters in this plot should be Star Army Infantry of the 12th Legion with a specialization in planetary combat. You will use a DAISY armor in this plot. If you’d rather be part of Legion I that’s fine too, but I see little reason for it. Existing characters are preferred, but new ones are welcome as well. Because of the nature of infantry formations, I would rather not have players be commissioned or warrant officers. Hei and Heisho only, please (privates, corporals, and sergeants). Exceptions to these preferences can always be made, but automatic approval of your cool idea should not be expected.
