A few years ago... on a Starmap not so far far away...
War! In space no less!

The Phantom Mishhu
Shortly after launching their first interstellar ship 'The Star Seeker', the three houses of the Lorath come into contact with a menacing race of invaders known as the 'Nekovalkyrja', under mysterious circumstances one of the Neko officers has been killed along with 'The Star Seekers' Occhestan officer. Arriving at the planet Lor with the remaining two captive Lorath, crew the captain of the alien ship the evil 'Taisa Sydney' demands nothing less than the planets complete surrender to the Yamatai Star Empire! Sydney threatens to obliterate the planet should the ruling Lorath Twin's of the matriarchy refuse. The venerable interplanetary ships of the Lor system are no match for the alien ship. Having no other choice the twins leave for the empire capital where they surrender the planet.

Soon after ships of a mysterious race known as the Mishhuvurthyar appear in the skys above Lor; they present themselves as the liberators of Lor, and as the enemys of Yamatai; but their intentions are far more deadly they jam communications and stay only to draw the Yamatai Empire into battle. The Lorath are terrorized by the Mishhu and spyed on by Phantom Mishhuvurthyar.

Attack of the Mishhu
The Yamatai Empire confronts the Mishhu in the space around Lor, resulting in widespread devastation, the Lorath queen as well as the Lorath House leaders are taken prisoner aboard a Mishhu ship. Leader of the Occhestan house Prime Minister Zvevda'Esjat 'Truth' Occhesta leads the captured Lorath in a daring escape from the Mishhu battleship commandeering and flying them in a Fox-class shuttle to safety. Fleeing Mishhu forces attempt to drop a moon into the orbit of Lor, but the remaining Yamatai ships blast the moon; while complete destruction of the planet is averted, debris from the moon still rains down upon the surface of Lor, causing mass devistation and killing millions.

While fear and civil unrest grows on the planets surface, the fledgling Lorath space-force , the LSDF, which had been composed of largely Occhestan engineers and personnel at the time attempts to salvage wreckage from the battle, secretly they seek to acquire advanced technology to use against both the Mishhu and Yamatai.

Revenge of the Matriarchy
Civil unrest grows on Lor as the people become increasingly resistant to Yamatai rule, unrest becomes strongest in Occhestan territories and cities as the Occhestan house government firmly opposes both the Yamataian subjugation as well as the Lorath matriarchy who were popularly portrayed as puppets and sellouts to the Yamatai empire. Not long after an incident in an Occhestan facility, in which several Yamatians were believed to be involved, Occhestan agents discovered a scandal between the Lorath Queen and a Yamatai Officer and Princess, the cunning Hanako.

Finding that the scandal had been uncovered the Matriarchy acted swiftly to attempt to suppress the information, arresting vast swaths of Occhestans, ransacking their offices in the Matriarcy capital city, and sending two armored troop detachments toward Occhestan facilities. Unbeknown to the Lorath Matriarchy the Occhestan Prime Minister Zvevda'Esjat 'Truth' Occhesta was just then arriving in the Lor system with a fleet of older model Yamataian ships which had been destined for the LSDF. Seeing the chaos unfolding below Truth acted to protect Occhestan assets and lives and fired upon one of the armored detachments completely destroying it, the second detachment was called off and the matriarchy rescinded it previous orders. It was a stalemate, but the damage had been done, the already strained inter-house relations with the Occhestans colapsed.

The coming days saw negotiations in which the Occhestan prime minister made strong demands of the queen, including greater Occhestan autonomy and the revelation of the scandal, both of which the Queen vehemently refused. With talks going nowhere and the threat of Mishhu invasion already pressing the Lorath to evacuate the planet Lor, the Prime Minister (and later the Occhestan Senate) decided that the only option was to seceed from the Matriarchy and Yamatai; though present Yamatai forces declined to intervene, the threat of a battle with an Occhestan controled fleet an unappealing prospect, as Yamatai was deeply entrenched in the darkest part of the First Mishhuvurthyar War.

A New Faction
Cast out from their home by invaders and the threat of civil war the Occhestans seek to make a new life for themselves in the galactic north. After undergoing reorganization and a minor split with a minority faction in its own ranks a finally unified Occhestan Republic emerges from the flames, ready and willing to face the challenges that await it.

Elsewhere in the galaxy... war was beginning... only a year after having been beaten back, reports of a new Mishhuvurthyar offensive are coming in from accross the galaxy, only fate will know how the Occhestan's will face this growing threat to the entire galaxy...

A somewhat fancifully told, but fairly accurate historical summary of the Occhestan's in RP from an Occhestan perspective. I'm hoping to have a full plot up and running fairly soon, hopefully on a new fully Occhestan ship that is currently under heavy development(along with a greatly updated version of the previous Occhestan standard power armor the A-279). The plot will likely be in fast SP format with occasional JP's if we can manage them. We will be accepting Occhestan and Helashio player characters of all backgrounds.

Of note we also just got a new Stealth Strike Craft approved the RFF-117c Vespera
