SAoY - Heitan-Class Carrier

I've only got a chance to skim it so far but I noticed the "Weapons placements" section is empty. Also, why hex pallets and not square?
 
Weapon placement section has been filled in.

As for why hexagonal, square footage of moving material, and it minimized safety issues with the square corners protruding beyond the craft.
