The senate was called into a meet not to long after the previous one. The time was measurable with a few days, actually. However, the meet wasn't for a proposal or anything of the sort. No, it was for the summit. Or rather transportation to the summit. It was easier to just go in one vessel anyway. They had been all told to bring three days worth of clothing for themselves and whatever people they wanted to drag along, as well as not to worry about their own security. It was suggested to bring AT MOST two other people.

On the roof of the senate building, which will remain undescribed other then the roof being flat enough at one point to have a shuttle land on it easily, and then accessible in a similar easy fashion.

Moving on! On this easily-accessible flat roof bit was a landed Ke-T7-1B. Or, rather, a Raccoon T7 transport with a hyperspace fold installed on it. The shuttle's rear ramp was opened for people, however the various people by it didn't really seem to be attracted to it like a fly to a Venus fly trap. Not that it'd be harmful or something to them.

No, there were eight personel. Two in usual Star Army usual uniform (They being humans... Their exact race of Human couldn't be told, but it was either a Geshrin, Nep, or Yammie...) leaning against the shuttle by the ramp, talking to each other while they ate what appeared to be warm Ramen in a bowl. One had a spoon, the other had chopsticks. They seemed to be friends, though, as they laughed to each other often. Both were male. Probably pilots or something.

The other six appeared to be the security detail. Five of which were in rather simple Black flak jackets with similarly black Type 30 Helmets on, which disguised their face entirely. Four had breasts, though, by telling of the various little bumps extruding from the chest area of the jacket. They all had Type 28s around their sides, although nothing more appeared visible on them. At the moment they were just looking like they were looking around while exchanging witty banter via radio to each other.

The last person was decked out in a Mindy M2-2A in the "Bob Cat" configuration. Being that it wasn't Black Spiral or a Daughter of Eve PA, if was in the usual light blue instead of black like the other security details. It was standing on top of the shuttle, occasionally looking about.

In front of the shuttle ramp a sign was placed up, written with some sort of marker in both Japanese and English as "Cost to board shuttle to Pisces: One kiss on one pilot's lips or a kiss on each of the pilot's cheeks.

How dashing.

Maysaki sat a little away from the shuttle on her own, bored. Her duffel bag was below her bum, containing her two other sets of clothes. Which almost matched her outfit entirely; a simple dark green T-shirt and Khaki pants, both of which some what loose fitting. On top of that, which she only had one of, a leather jacket like a biker would wear.

I hate going out into space...

The Lorath senator made her way to the rooftop and arrived there five minutes prior to the scheduled meeting time. It was her nature to be on time, even a little bit early in case of an unpredictable event.

As soon as Aegis stepped upon the roof, it was apparent that she was not accustom to 'peace talks', she was clad in the traditional plate armor of the Fyunnen, which made her look quite large, imposing, and maybe even grumpy. However, she was anything but grumpy, she was actually the closest she had been to a positive mood since her assignment... she wanted off of the planet desperately. Yamataian customs had long since wore her nerves down to the point where she was unable to stomach much more of the customs. Bowing, eating with sticks, name orders, and especially the absurd squiggles which they utilized for their text... all of it had worn on her.

Along with the hefty plate which she wore over the 'Wind', she also had a pack slung over her shoulder which contained a change of clothing which would be worn for the negotiations themselves, a travel kit, and a package which contained a book of Yamatai Unified law, recent Yamatai history, and a book from Lor; a Fyunnen religious text... essentially the same pack which she had brought slung on her shoulder when she first arrived on Yamatai.

Space... at least it is far away from this absurd planet... still is not home though. She thought to herself as she approached theshuttle, only to find another bit of Yamataian absurdity. Pilots... Yamataian pilots even worse... She shook her head as she read the sign which the pilots had set out, requesting kisses... it was honestly disgusting to the Fyunnen to even consider kissing; An offworlder, a pilot, a male, and someone she had barely met. It was simply immoral and absurd.

Gazing up at the towering, power armor-clad Lorath senator, Kuroaki Isuzu suddenly felt a little silly. Who's supposed to be protecting who, here?

How had she even gotten into this situation? It was bad enough that her job had apparently changed from 'Technical Sentry' to 'Temporary Staff,' with a new duty station every other week- but somehow she now found herself on Yamatai, smack in the middle of the madness! The idea of Motoyoshi-sama as Empress still made her giddy, but her mood quickly darkened when she thought of all the ugly things that had led up to that shining moment. It was all extremely disorienting.

She really didn't have the luxury of being confused and uncertain, however; not now. Taking a handfull of short, crisp steps, the tiny Neko sentry approached the diplomat, bowing deeply. "Honorable senator of Lor," she addressed in a respectful tone, carefully skirting around the senator's name. She vaguely remembered something about Lorath being picky about names. "Your bag, if you please?" Isuzu held out the hand that wasn't cradling a SMG. "It will not be opened and will be returned after a brief security inspection using the shuttle's scanners."

Aegis smiled behind her helmet, and was pleased enough by the security attendant to lift the mask of her helmet to let her smile be shown. "My my, you're well mannered, a change from the usual. You may address me by the name 'Aegis'. As for my bag, so long as you're handling it, I am fine with handing it over for now." She unslung the bag from over her shoulder, and presented it to the security attendant. Within it, she'd find typical stonethread polymer fiber clothing, some basic hygiene items, and the books, authentic, printed on paper, books. "Careful, those are all I carry with me, so they do hold some value to me."

"Of course, Senator Aegis." Accepting the bag, Isuzu took care not to jostle it too much; she'd never held a paper book before, so she wasn't sure how durable they were. Turning her head slightly, Isuzu glanced at the ramp to the shuttle- or more specifically, the sign that blocked it.

"We've been ordered by the captain not to board the shuttle until all of the senators and their attendants are assembled," she explained in a professional, neutral voice, as if she couldn't read what the sign actually said. "The others should be arriving shortly. Until then, if you would please wait with Senator Maysaki?" She indicated the senator of Tatiana with a nod.

Muting her external speaker, Isuzu shot a radio message to the security station at the building's entrance. "Do we have an updated ETA on the rest of the senators? I only see two up here, and we're getting close."

( OOC: Hanako arrived at Pisces using her starship, the Eucharis)

A male voice came back, sounding some what gruff and... stuffy. Like if someone had a head cold. "Whenever they show up. You know how politicians are... Finicky little asshats, the lot of them. Well, most of 'em."

Maysaki, meanwhile, couldn't help but glance behind her to the two. And she smiled a little, shaking her head. Aegis found a friend. Cute.

Ayana sent Maysaki a short message:

"Senator Maysaki,
Thank you for the offer but I am accompanying Crown Prince Tio to the Summit. I will see you there!

Have a safe journey!

~ Tange-Katsura Ayana"

(OOC: Shall we assume that the senator of Ohara has made his own way to the conference as well, as Yangfan isn't currently playing? Who would that leave?)

Closing the connection but not turning her speaker back on, Isuzu concentrated for a moment. "<Finicky little asshats>!" she spat in a string of harsh, guttural noise. Repeating the phrase once more, this time more slowly, the Neko tested each syllable for proper pronunciation. She was actually a little surprised that the Mishhuvurthyar even had such a term; for the life of her, she just couldn't picture a Mishhu ever using the word 'finicky.'

With a parting bow to Senator Aegis, Isuzu turned and walked up the ramp of the shuttle. Because they weren't planning on transporting a huge number of people, the Raccoon was set up in power armor configuration to better accommodate the armors used by the security team. Setting the bag down, Isuzu moved to a nearby wall panel and conducted a short security scan before moving the senator's belongings to a secure transport container in the center of the craft.

I hope the senator didn't mean that she would surrender her things to me on the condition that I would watch them personally for the duration of the trip, Isuzu mused uncertainly, returning to her post. Thus far, she didn't really agree with her counterpart's distain for the senators; Senator Maysaki had been a little distant, but Senator Aegis seemed pleasant enough.

Just in case, however, she'd made sure to put Aegis's bag in the transport container behind her seat. She was going back to the Fifth XF after this assignment, much to her relief, so it wouldn't do to offend any high-ranked Lorath- if she could help it.

Roxanne finally reached the roof, her hair now cut in a kind of tall, roughly short-cut form using a lot of hairspray. She wore a navy blue trenchcoat and carried just her black shoulder bag on her.

She glanced at the other senators, but didn't say anything. She approached the shuttle, unsure of who was supposed to meet her, or where she was supposed to go. She'd been buried in talks with municipal leaders on Yamatai.

As if on cue, the shortest figure in the line of guards beside the shuttle broke ranks and approached. "Senator Kurokawa," Isuzu greeted, bowing as she had to Aegis. Straightening, the black-armored Neko held out her hand. "We will need to check your bag before we begin boarding the shuttle. It will not be opened and will be returned after a brief security inspection using the shuttle's scanners." Behind Isuzu, one of the other guards moved to alert the pilots that all of their charges had arrived while another picked up the 'passage for a kiss' sign and carried it up the ramp.

(Mm.)

Maysaki creped up from behind Roxxy in a sleepy manner, her duffel bag strap slung over her shoulder and set behind her. She then wrapped her arms around Roxane via the neck area in a sort of weak glomp and clung to her, giving her a hug. "Mm... You're so slow, Roxxy-poo." She smiled a little to the person she considered her friend among the senate (In the true meaning of friend, not just a ally or some non-sense.) with her name teasing. "Big three people... They were expecting more, oh well. Whats with the hair?"

The pilots grumbled a little about their sign being taken away and wandered toward the cockpit. "Only got May to do it... And it was only on the cheeks. Ah well, bugger." The less Yam one said while shaking his head. His comrade only chuckled.

Roxanne handed over her bag with a curt nod. The bag didn't have much in it — a datapad, a book, some make-up, toiletries, nothing more.

When she felt the steamy breath of the Geshrin woman behind her, and the hug, she grinned and hugged back as best she could. "Constituents come first, May-chan. Sit with me on the shuttle, and I will regale you with tales of my stylist."

"Mm... If you bore me to much I might fall asleep... Although last time I fell asleep with you around I had marker on my face. Hmm." Maysaki giggled lightly and gave the senator a bit of a squeeze before slipping her arms back to her sides.

Roxanne's bag was scanned and returned while the two Yamataian women spoke. "Senators," Isuzu prompted after a moment, gesturing toward the boarding ramp. Seats facing the walls of the shuttle lined either side of the center aisle, which was occupied by several more suits of Mindy power armor and a few grey and white transport containers. From the look of things, the security team had claimed most of the right-hand aisle already.

Roxanne took her bag back with another nod, then took Maysaki's arm in hers and produced the grin of a fiend. "You were a welcome target. Next time you'll accept my offer of a drink now, won't you? Now, let's take our seat and enjoy our little trip."

"I fear if I got with you for a drink I'd find myself nude in a certain someone -" Roxxy, of course, " - 's arms with the other person being in a similarly nude state. Just to follow with the Yam stereotype and all." Maysaki grinned a little over to Roxanne before motioning Roxxy forward and to pick a seat, ditching her duffel at a appropriate place when passing it.

"I hate Space trips... Don't mind any anxiety out of me." She half mummered, half whispered to Roxanne.
