Art Shameless Art Gallery Show off Thread. (Aka, SAGSOT!!!)

SAGSOT sounds like some kind of eldrith monster (Sagg'Sot)!

Anyway, this is for those who might be interested in seeing some of the art I draw!

Since I like drawing bugs so much, I thought Furaffinity would be a good choice (plus I have friends there): http://www.furaffinity.net/gallery/waspgirl/
My only mistake was forgetting that the only art Furries tend to like is inflation fetish porn. Oh, well!

If you take a look, you can probably get a good idea of my more common themes from my artwork involving Lissie, the little wasp. She's a cute, cartoon character floundering in a desolate, decrepit world of financial and environmental collapse, where all other species of insect have died off, leaving her as the sole remaining bug on the planet.
Please give me feedback, tell me what you like and what you don't like, etc! I really enjoy seeing more than just an up-vote in response to my submissions.

I did a lil bit of drawing today; some more work on Ame's pic, then I tried out an old copy of SAI I still had on my computer from yonks back. The stabilising is so handy for tablet drawing, but the inverted mouse wheel zoom and the fact that it samples a colour from the mouse cursor when you right click reminded my why I don't use SAI. (I have a habit of right-clicking out of reflex when I'm relaxed) If there's two things that kill my drawing mood, it's distractions and boring crap. Apparently there's a means of changing these things, but TRUST ME, I'VE LOOKED. NO I'M NOT LOOKING AGAIN LEAVE ME ALONE

I'm going to use Photoshop CS5 like I always do and draw squiggly lines with my spastic wrist! >:C

Anyway, to relax, I did some pen tool doodling:
FillyEmpathyNayley.png
Three of my 'Keeper' characters: Demi-god like beings from Imbliss (purgatory) which embody the negative traits of an excessive human behaviour or emotion. They 'keep' it from the mortal world, effectively. From left to right, there's Filly, the Keeper of Apathy; the Keeper of Empathy (who has no name); and Nayley, the Keeper of Failure.
Filly is the only one who actively styles herself as a goddess and likes to romp around causing mischief. She hates having the irony of her obsessive personality pointed out and comes up with convoluted excuses involving her extreme apathy.
I was working on a semi-lewd drawing of Filly, which may or may not be finished at some point. Her eccentric personality is a lot of fun to play with. ^w^

Did a little bit of relaxed, quick drawing today. I made a couple of doodles:

I also tried to make a wasp version of the 'smug cat' image, with cans of bug spray replacing the knives:

You can tell by the fact I didn't colour it that I dislike how it turned out. I guess that's the price for speed doodling...
She looks like she's stoned and is all mangy-looking. :/
Look at my ugly drawn hands too!

I'm in such a rut with my drawings... whenever I see the finished or even half-done product, I just feel deflated, like I'm losing skill instead of accumulating it. If I took an art course, it'd all be about learning art techniques and fancy brush maneuvers. All I want is a group of people to share art with for critique and learn together, not receive lectures or my own cruel criticism.
Internet art sites suck for that purpose too, because all anyone ever does is just hit the like button instead of telling me what they enjoy about the image. >:|

I like the nice yellow of the doodle that's colored and the fancy oval shapes of both imgs. I like that she looks stoned. It reminds me of all the losers that surround me when I go out of the house ^-^

Raz, you are a buttnugget.
Haha, sorry. I was furiously typing other places with this thread open.

I like how you draw faces. All really evocative and convey the feelings of your characters. Usually cute, imo. But sometimes absolutely terrifying or crazy.

Like, I feel good when looking at I'ee faces.

Hehe, no worries. It got a chuckle out of me seeing the like almost immediately after. :p

I hear a lot of praise toward how I convey emotion, which makes me feel happy. c: I just don't get those sorts of encouraging words from myself.

I tried my hand at making a concept for an I'ee handgun in DoGA today:
I'eePistol.PNG
It's quite small; the individual rings are meant for one claw to fit through. It has a harmonica magazine. The stock on the back is so that the I'ee can steady the weapon against their chest if necessary; no wrists makes precision difficult.

Also, here's an I'ee aerospace shuttle:
I'eeShuttle.PNG
It uses more conventional thrusters instead of the more destructive particle drive due to its function. I was thinking it might use a parachute to help with re-entry.

So, I barely slept at all last night. But when I did slept, I dreamt. And would ya know, it was SARP related! Sort of, at least.
Everyone I know from SARP was there; I remember @Wes distinctly being there. The setting was different, though, from what I could tell.
The roleplay was set in a vast, ruined underground reminiscent of a subterranean carpark, albeit massive. Lots of ruined architecture, dust and trashed vehicles. My character was a human girl who woke up from suspension in a large, underground stockpile of vehicles and weaponry.
She then made herself known by finding one of these and going out for a drive in it:
Dreamcar.PNG Dreamcar2.PNG Dreamcar3.PNG
In the dream it was more sports-car like; very streamlined with a flat rear-end, but I was able to capture the general idea of a quick attack car with dual cannons on either side. I kinda like how it turned out in DoGA anyway. Very cute. ^w^

That's pretty wild! I hope the dream Wes was a good guy!

Now I'm just imagining a wasp driving a car by sitting on the wheel...

Left wing rotates wasp left, car goes left. And vice versa.

ROAD WASPS, the long forgotten 90s action figure series + saturday morning cartoon...

Only now do I realise that Polygon was talking about a wasp sitting on a steering wheel and not a wasp riding a lone wheel around like a unicycle. x3
