Hello there!

Zunther reporting in here. Stumbled across here (by way of the attached wiki) one day, and after some trawling through the archives (still am), thought I might eke out a place here. Not wholly new to forum RPs fortunately, though I am a bit out of practice.

Thinking of starting off with an older, independent Nepleslian civilian (middle aged male) with a history as a salvager. Open to suggestions of course!

Last of all, I've got my eye on that old Ge-F6-1A... is that freighter capable of landing planet-side?
 
Yes, it's capable of landing on planets. :) - Your character concepts sounds good.

Much obliged for the welcome! There's certainly a lot of lurking to be done before I dive into the thick of things. Have to get a feel for the tides in the SARP 'verse first.

I'm Floodwaters, the GM for The Fringe, an independent plot following a group of misfits living just outside of lawful society. It's a shame you didn't arrive sooner, as my plot is currently at capacity, but if you ever wish to have a guest role, or want to join us at some future date, let me know. Characters like the one you described would fit in quite well there. :)

As Samanthia said, the IRC is a wonderful place to go for help if you get overwhelmed, or just want someone to point you in the right direction. Your imagination is your only true limit here, and the universe available to you here is absolutely enormous. Don't feel like you have to know it all like the back of your hand; I don't think a single member here does!

I did come across the Fringe by way of the wiki, and I'll be keeping a close eye on it. Still have to prep that character first though!

Thanks for the welcome! I'll get around to the RP once I manage to dig myself out from under the wiki archives. What I've read so far has a depth I can't say I've seen elsewhere.

I'm looking at having my first character own a derelict, so he'd be joining up with another crew, trying to make money to get his old ship back in one piece again. Looking at having his kid eventually taking over ownership and actually getting the ship back on track.
