Star Army Item Generator Thread

Here is a list I am submitting for the Elysian Race.

Elysia

Wad of burnt plastic
Disgusting biomass
Trash
Random severed chunk of flesh
Sharp shard of starship armor
Dead Plebian, wings and arms ripped off
Dead Archangel, one wing gone, severed at torso
Antimatter glob (dangerous!)
Hostile enemy mecha (might attempt to kill you)
Weapons Pod (not repairable)
Weapons Pod (not repairable)
Somebody's cybernetic eye (or other minor body part)
Carpeting from hallway
Severed Wing
Organic ship guts
Ceramic Plate (shattered)
Ceramic Plate (shattered)
Damaged “veinâ€

No ships with interdiction technology, or the latest Seraph have been in conflict, and thus their remains can not be found.

Same goes for power armour actually, given that there is no information for Elysian power armour before the one I designed.

Whether Seraph die in vacuum is a good question.

Do you have any suggestions as to what should replace those items then? I'm not exactly an expert on Elysian tech. ^^*

Well, that'd be in the Yamatai list.

The lists are by race (save Ohara, which is a special case), and the different races are applied to locations. That way fewer lists can be made, and more items chosen from.

In otherwords, the items have to be Elysian.

Do you know the kinds of personal items Elysians may have? I'd also like to know of any Yamatai/Elysian conflicts not represented by the ratios submitted.

Edited to be Yamatai debris only, salvage by special permit only. (That's where a salvager has gained the trust of the SA and is qualified to handle restricted technologies, as discussed in another thread.)

MM007, for the Ohara salvage list, please change all references to "Nozomi" to "Yui", if it's not too much trouble. Thanks.

Understood. No problem.

Just out of curiosity, is it the Yui 4 or 5, and also, was the Nozomi, at any time, refered to as the Yui 6? The image of the Nozomi on the site has that filename.

Edit: 11:04 AM

All implemented and working. 23 Salvage fields and 7 races' debris lists is the current count. If the program isn't already ready for it's first widescale release, it is certainly nearing it.

It doesn't really matter, since I don't believe a salvager can tell the difference between a Yui 4 and a Yui 5 from the outside anyway. :)

Depends on how much wreckage he'd seen, I suppose. ^^* An experienced salvager is likely to be able to find SOME difference, no matter how trivial. However, Toshiro isn't to, or near, that point yet.

The Yui 5 *is* different. It's is also much more rare (only a couple thousand made as opposed to millions of Yui 4s).

Oooo...Okay.

So to see it is like to see a White Whale. Nice.

Also, storage accomodations for Toshiro have been made by Venquia and RPed out, and may evolve into a basic guide or standard.

Alright, I sent the basic version to Wes last night, but then realized there was more I could do with it. Since sending Wes version 1.01, I've made some minor revisions, mostly cosmetic, though the player version has something that may help the user copy down the confirmation data more easily. Here is a screenshot of version 1.1.

The versions run off of the same text files, and are interchangable.

As you can see, the program has been more visually customized to the SA with colors, the SA text inbetween the ":About" and "Clear" buttons, and the Hinomaru behind the Type Code and Item Code.

Though the Decoder is unchanged otherwise, the Generator has been given a text output window which spits out the proper format which the user can then simply copy and paste into the SA post (likely in their finance and inventory post), instead of by hand.

I am not certain if this version will be released or not, but I will discuss it with Wes. If so, it may reduce the odds of making typing errors on the player side of things, and all but remove the task of typing the codes in by hand....the Decoder still requires manual input, however. Sorry mods. ^^* Otherwise, v1.01 is more than adequate for now, and I might want to made added changes to v1.1 before I decide it is ready for release.
